SummarySome 2023 Transit vehicles built on 15-Mar-2023 and through 02-Jun-2023, equipped with SYNC 3 Lite (4 inch center display screen), with rear parking aid, and without front parking aid may exhibit a parking aid disable switch in the front controls interface module B (FCIMB) that is inoperative and does not disable the reverse parking aid system when desired. This may be due to the configuration of the park aid module (PAM). To correct this condition, download and run the PAM Park Aid Module (PAM) Configuration application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15K866 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit a condition where the high voltage battery stops charging when connected to level 1 or level 2 chargers with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2C94 stored in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module A (SOBDM). To restore charging capability, disconnect the off-board charging station charge handle from the vehicle charge port and reconnect. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in August 2023. Replacement of the SOBDM will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummarySome 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial units and not being able to change to metric. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). This issue does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in September 2023. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

SummarySome 2022-2023 Transit vehicles, excluding cutaway and chassis cab body vehicles, equipped with a rear-view camera level 2 system only and 12 inch center display screen, may exhibit a lack of active or fixed guidelines after rear view camera replacement. Vehicles may also exhibit a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1001:55 stored in the SYNC module (APIM). This may be due to the APIM requiring the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) to recognize the new rear-view camera. To restore the active or fixed guidelines, download and run the APIM - Local Interconnect Network (LIN) New Module Initialization application in Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) when replacing the rear-view camera.

SummarySome 2020-2023 Ford and Lincoln SYNC3 equipped vehicles may experience an inaccurate notification in the FordPass®/LincolnWay® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode message is expected if the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SoC) drops below 50%. If the vehicle is going into deep sleep outside these conditions, this may be due to the telematics control unit (TCU) software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the TCU to the latest software. For claiming, use causal part 14G229 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2022-2023 Transit/E-Transit vehicles built on or before 05-May-2023 may experience an inaccurate air discharge temperature when the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) is operating in auto or manual mode and the temperature set to 60ðF (15.5ðC) or above. During this condition, the system commands full or mostly heat and the air discharge temperature will only reduce in the LO setting. This may be due to calibration in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. To correct this condition, reprogram the HVAC module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 19980 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

SummarySome 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmission may exhibit a whine noise at idle and/or while driving. This may be identified as coming from the bellhousing and the front of the transmission fluid pan. The whine noise may become louder when the transmission is at operating temperature and may increase with engine revolutions per minute (RPM) in the park (P) position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmissions due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability.

SummarySome 2021-2022 Transit vehicles may exhibit a rear door that does not open or close correctly. The vehicle may also exhibit a condition of the rear door swinging all the way open. This may be due to the rear door switch. Inform customers the operation of the rear door switch has been updated in the Ownerôs Manual. Refer Ownerôs Manual (HTML), section Doors and Locks > Operating the doors from outside your vehicle > Opening and Closing the Doors. If the rear door switch is not damaged but the issue is still present, remove the switch and inspect the internal latch system. Remove the rear door panel and the plastic shield, with a hooked hand tool unclip the lock switch from inside the door and push down the top and the bottom clip to release the switch. To reinsert the switch, position it in the neutral stage and push it into the door.
