The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal had to be fully depressed to slow the vehicle. The contact also felt the brake pedal shaking while depressed. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall related to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

Since we bought the vehicle new in late 2018, in hot weather we sometimes see gas running down the side of the car below the filler pipe door, and a little puddle of gas on the rubber just inside the filler pipe door. We can't park the car in our garage because of the gas fumes, and we worry that in a collision, the underlying cause could make a fire more likely. We've had the car to the dealer service department and they can't find a cause. I know from a www search that other Camry owners have had the same problem. The dealership wants us to leave the car with them long enough for them to observe the problem, but we can't handle the financial risk of the service and the car rental while our car is at the garage being monitored for the problem. And of course it is a waste of time trying to get Toyota to take responsibility, which is why we're writing to you. The date entered in this submission is the first time we noticed it (it was the first hot weather since we bought the car).

I purchased a set of 4 Cooper Ultra Touring (235/45R18) Tires in 05/2022. Within 40,000 miles of purchasing the Tires, I was traveling on I-10 WB at approximately 70 MPH when the Vehicle started to shake violently. I pulled into the Right Lane and slowed down significantly and was able to make it to my residence safely. The very next day, I took the Vehicle to a local Goodyear Franchise and had a new Passenger Front Tire installed on 10/24/2022. The Service Tech advised that the Passenger Front Tire was on the verge of separating and that was the reason for the Vehicle Shaking. On 08/28/23, I was traveling on I-10 EB and the Driver's side of the Vehicle started to shake violently again. I traveled in the Right Lane at a slow speed until I came up on a Toyota Dealership in Daphne, Alabama. The Service Tech put the Vehicle up on a lift and advised me that the Driver's Side Rear Tire had separated and the Driver's side front tire had an uneven wear pattern on the inside edge. I had both tires promptly replaced. I have done my due diligence and have discovered many recalls on Cooper Tires as of late. The same descriptions I have read online are exactly what I have experienced with my two tires that have separated. I did check to see if these Tires were apart of any recalls and they are not. One thing I would like to point out is that these Cooper Tires were apart of a Promotion that Tire Choice Auto Service Centers were running in the Summer of 2020 to buy 3 tires and receive 1 free. For this reason, I do not know how many of these Tires were sold as it felt like they were just trying to get rid of them as they were heavily discounted. I do suspect that these tires were made in the same factories as many that were recalled. These Tires do have a 70,000 mile Warranty and I am currently in the process of trying to get the Tires from Toyota so Cooper can inspect them for a refund. Reference #: [XXX]. Excess vibration when braking, I took the car into the Toyota dealership they inspected the vehicle and said the front rotors are warped. The presumed cause are the brakes overheating. I drive this vehicle 80 miles a day one way at freeway speeds. Very little stop and go traffic. My concern this has been present since about 20,000 miles . I am currently at 28,000 miles. Toyota customer service said there is no warrantee and this is normal operating conditions. I am very familiar with cars and this is unsafe. My concern is it is getting progressively worse and know the kind of driving I do there is likely a vehicle has inferior parts or the vehicle braking system is not adequate.

This is an extension to a previous complaint filed 8/15/23, complaint #11538570 I'm still experiencing safety issues and engine related problems with this vehicle after towing it to the dealership 8/8/23. Following 14 days of non-DTC codes coming up, at Sloane Glenside Toyota Service Center, the computer diagnostic finally revealed P107A2A and P12D501 issues. Although these codes indicate a fuel sensor and fuel pump control and electrical failure issues, the technician replaced a "vacuum switching value because of a low fuel pressure. I picked up the vehicle after the codes were reportedly cleared, and 5 days later, on 8/26, new dashboard warnings revealed a LDA malfunction, pre-collison malfunction, and a secondary break malfunction; all safety related, that caused the vehicle engine light to reappear, shaking violently, idling and eventually shutting down while traveling at approx. 30 miles, in the middle of a busy Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia, road. I was unable to report this concern again to the dealer as it was on Saturday, after 5pm, and no staff was onsite. I plan to tow the vehicle back to toyota first thing Monday morning, 8/28/23.

2020 Camry has 34000 miles and the engine maintenance required comes on. The dealer says it is the coolant bypass valve. They will replace it but after looking online there are many reports of this happening to toyotas with low mileage. Coolant can corrode the electric components.

The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while activating the front windshield wipers, the wipers failed to function. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated after driving over a speed bump, the windshield wipers functioned as needed. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V505000 (Visibility). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 180,000.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I was driving along and without warning the speedometer became erratic and then went to zero. As I was moving on a main road (limited access) I could not safely stop right away. Several other items on the instrument panel began to operate erratically. (These other items would not be considered safety items) Before reaching an exit or other safe place the speedometer began to operate again. I got off on a general main street and all seemed OK In a few minutes the problem returned and the speedometer went to zero again after becoming erratic first. I CAN NOT TRUST THE SPEED READING On a regular road or any road I may be driving to fast for some limiting condition or posting and not realize it. i AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND THAT OF OTHERS. This has happened several times and then goes away but I can not trust the reading

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
When driving home I was doing about 25 mph when my car stalled and 5 or 6 display lights came on. ( secondary collision brake system malfunction, check engine, charging system malfunction, Lda malfunction and engine stopped steering power low.) so I costed into the nearest parking lot blocking an entrance to the facility, so I wouldn’t be blocking traffic on a busy 2 lane road at lunch time. So I then put car In park and shut it off and waited. I tried starting my car and it started but raved up and shut off. So I turned key off and waited 10 minutes. I tried 2 more times waiting 5 minutes longer each time. As I’m writing this I’m waiting for tow truck cause now my car won’t start at all. But I had someone bring an obd tool and P2119,2111, codes showed up.

Engine: Fault Code P268115 - Engine Coolant Bypass Valve Control Circuit/Open: Circuit Short To Battery or Open. This is a huge ongoing problem with Toyota vehicles. You can do a simple search and find 100s of people with the same issue. This must be addressed and a recall issued for repair.

My 2010 Toyota Camry has a sticky dashboard issue. I am the second owner of the vehicle. Toyota had an open recall on sticky dashboard recall that ended in 2020 which i was not aware of during my ownership term. I took the car into dealership multiple times for oil change and tires and I was never informed of this. They sent letter about notice to previous owner. The car was never fixed under recall. When i contacted them, they mentioned the car notice was sent to previous owner and they can't honor the warranty anymore. This is a bunch of crap. They should be held liable for 1.) sending notice to wrong address 2.) not fixing a faulty design. An expiration on "safety recall" doesn't mean the problem goes away. The problem exists on my car and it is a road-hazard as the sticky-melting dashboard creates a glare on the windshield. The car is not driveable during day time when sun is shining. This is a serious safety issue and can lead to death of driver. I expect this issue to be fixed under their now closed-recall. Closing recall doesn't fix probelm for owners that didn't receive proper communication. I expect TOYOTA to fix this free of charge

Car does not accelerate from stop at a traffic light intermittently. THis poses a risk/hazard as the car behind it closes on it and expects the car to move forward . The vehicle was recalled a year ago for a fuel pump that was supposed to cause the same issue. Its been replaced and the issue has shown up again and now cannot be reproduced by the manufacturer.

My 2010 Camry has become incredibly unsafe to drive or be in due to the dashboard melting. There is an unbelievably unsafe glare caused by the dashboard reflecting sunlight and the more the dash melts the more intense the glare becomes. There is also a smell that renders the vehicle almost worthless on hot days and causes headaches. This is on top of not being able to clean the dashboard because you cannot touch it with anything. All bugs and any dust that land on the dashboard live there permanently. You cannot wipe it with anything. Your finger prints stay on the dash with the lightest touch and often it becomes so hot you cannot touch it without potentially burning yourself. The dash melting is a safety hazard to everyone on the roadways. There are likely millions of cars with this defective dashboard that have not been repaired. I have contacted Toyota several times, including executives and high ranking corporate employees, and they say that they will not replace or help with this defective and unsafe cheap component that they used in order to increase their margins. The problem has been acknowledged by Toyota but they failed to contact an incredibly high number of owners that are affected. I first noticed the glare in 2014 and it has gotten progressively worse. I took the vehicle to a toyota dealership twice (2016/2023) and they refused to fix the defective dash both times. They expect owners to pay $3,500-$5,000 for a dashboard repair on a vehicle that has 100k+ mile life left yet is only worth around $5,000. They are essentially totaling cars that owners have worked hard to maintain and get the most out of. Toyota is stealing 10+ years of vehicle life from many consumers and placing the burden of their profit margins increasing onto consumers that buy toyotas because of their longevity and reliability.

I need to know was there a recall on a oil consumption problem for my vehicle. There was an issue with me having to add oil to my vehicle constantly. I’m hearing stories that there may have been, but I didn’t receive any letter. And I just spent some thousands of dollars on an engine that I could not afford. PLEASE Help Me!! THANKS!!
