There has been a safety recall for the passenger airbag for my Toyota for over a year. My dealer says Toyota has not provided them with the part (s) to fix the problem leaving me to drive in an unsafe car exposing passengers, and myself when I had to have someone driver for me after foot surgery, to danger.

I am filing this complaint to report a serious and ongoing issue regarding the unresolved safety recall 23TA15 (Interim Notice 23TB15) for my vehicle, a 2020 Toyota Camry LE (VIN: [XXX] ). The recall is associated with a critical defect where the passenger airbag may fail to deploy (NHTSA #23V865). It has been over 1 year since this recall was issued, and despite repeated visits to Toyota dealerships, I have been informed each time that the required remedy is not yet available. This delay is unacceptable, particularly for a defect that directly compromises the safety of vehicle occupants. The inability of the passenger airbag to deploy in an accident poses a significant risk of severe injury or death. As the owner of this vehicle, I am extremely concerned that Toyota has not prioritized this issue or provided an adequate solution within a reasonable timeframe. I respectfully request the NHTSA to investigate this matter and take the necessary actions to ensure Toyota fulfills its responsibility to provide a timely and effective remedy for this critical safety recall. I would also appreciate guidance on any additional steps I can take as a consumer to expedite the resolution of this issue. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. Low pressure fuel pump defective. Engine dies and/or surges under load at cruise speeds, sometimes dies at idle. Engine shuts down merging onto highway. Occupant(s) could be hit when pulling out into traffic if engine dies. Problem has been reproduced. Dealership said fuel pump is not covered under previous recall, but Toyota has a TSB stating the VIN# is in the TSB range for the above mentioned concerns. No DTC's are set, no messages set.

The contact owns a 2020 Toyota Camry. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V865000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the "Failure - Ignition Control" message was displayed. The contact stated that occasionally the seat belt warning chime failed to turn off while the seat belt was secured. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle occasionally failed to start, and all four door latches failed to unlock while using the key fob. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the vehicle. The contact was turned off and the vehicle. The had been taken to the dealer in 2017 and was diagnosed with a leaking timing chain cover caused by an oil leak. The timing chain assembly was resealed. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer for repair in February of 2021, where it was diagnosed that there was an oil pan gasket leak. The vehicle was repaired. The contact became aware of an oil leak on the garage floor. The vehicle was taken back to the same local dealer again on December 23, 2024, and was diagnosed with oil leaking on the timing cover. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 24,889.

There is no way to turn off the features after looking into the manual. While I was driving on the Interstate, my wheel jerked to the right towards the off ramp when I heals it straight. It was fighting me. Another time a bus was pulled to the right in front of me to pick up the people, and my car abruptly braked despite being in the clear and having pushing on my accelerator.But my vehicle jerked into the left lane over the right when I made a right turn from a stop, nearly causing me to be rear ending by traffic. As I was driving approximately last week, my car made a complete harsh stop at approximately over 30mph causing me to have severe neck and head pains that have only been increasing since. I was in the clear from the car that was to my right at the intersection. My car had also jerked to the left lane instead of the right lane when I was stopped making a right turn using my turn signal. And also, I noticed that my settings would reset when I program them. No other person messes with my settings on the dash. I have a schedule to get my neck and head checked due to increasing pains.

I purchased my Toyota Camry in 2020 with only 4995 miles on it from the Toyota dealership. It is now 2024 and I only have 69,000 miles on it and the transmission is bad. I took it Toyota and they revealed it is an inner transmission issue and I would need a completely new transmission. This is insane considering that Toyota makes money off of saying they have reliable cars. I have gotten maintenance on my car and mainly only drive it to and from work. There was no warning signs on my dashboard about this and I drive with my 3 year old son in it. I started to hear a winding noise in car when accelerating and occasionally some kick back. Now car is stuck at a dealership with no idea of when a new transmission will be placed because Toyota said it is on a nationwide back order. After doing some research I found that many other customers owning a 2019 Toyota are having the same problem with there transmissions clocking out between 65,000-85,000 miles. My safety was put at risk along with my child’s because there was not even a light on the dashboard that showed something was wrong with the car.

On multiple occasion's the vehicle takes longer than usual to start and it suddenly starts misfiring and running poorly when I'm driving it. At one point I was turning into a busy intersection and I thought the vehicle was going to stall. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership and they have confirmed there is problem with the fuel injectors. When the vehicle runs poorly, multiple warning lights appear on the dash and several of the safety systems are disabled. The vehicle is presently at the dealership for repairs, it only has 11,000 miles on it.

Hi, I bought a new Camry 2025 XSE hybrid from Dan Cava Toyota, Fairmont, WV. The Toyota company says 47 mpg. However, I filled complete tank 3 times and each time the odometer showed estimated 430-440 miles for 13 gallons, which is equal to 34 mpg. As a customer, I feel I am cheated by Toyota company. I bought this Camry only for a better mileage and safety. Please let me know what I should do. Thank you very much. I was stopped at a car wash, pressing on the brake pedal when all of a sudden it felt like someone rear-ended me. My car accelerated without me stepping on the gas pedal and I turned the wheel quickly to avoid hitting the car in front of me head on. I clipped his right back bumper, flew over a large shrub and landed smashing into a parked vehicle. The total front end of my vehicle was damaged and no air bag deployed.
