Hit a bump at approx. 55mph going into a curve while pulling a loaded car trailer. The unstable 4-link rear suspension combined with the air bag suspension system created/allowed/exacerbated trailer sway that caused the trailer to ultimately jack knife into a fence off the highway. This endangered myself and two oncoming cars in the curve. Driver skill and shear dumb luck prevented death to any/all on the road. Poor/unstable rear suspension engineering caused the accident. The air bags did not deploy and I do not recall the seatbelt locking up. Stellantis subcontracted Bosch Automotive Service Solutions (CASE # 91832257) to examine the truck. The inspector could find nothing out of "spec" or alignment, but was able to reproduce and experience like symptoms (and was visibly unsettled) during his test drive. Stellantis, not two days after receiving the Bosch report, denied all responsibility

Heater quit working on driver side only. Still heats on passenger side. Took it into an ASE mechanic and they said they have seen multiple RAM trucks with this same problem. It isn't the heater or heater core. It is the Cooling system - gaskets failed, and coolant sprays across intake.

Transmission issues began at less then 10K miles when the vehicle was new. Initially experienced a noise and slam into reverse gear. The dealer initially claimed the noises were normal or could not replicate the issue. Over time, the vehicle developed a hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear and between 4th and 5th gear. Despite multiple repair attempts by the dealer, the problem persisted. After spending 94 days at the dealership, the transmission was replaced with a refurbished unit of unknown age at approximately 26,000 miles. According to the dealership representative, a manufacturing defect in the transmission case was ultimately identified as the cause of the failure.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that upon pulling the rear middle seat belt to secure the car seat in the rear middle seat, the contact noticed that the rear middle seat belt locking or retracting mechanism was inoperable, causing the seat belt to continuously extend. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the middle rear seat belt was operating as designed, and the dealer informed the contact that the middle rear seat belt was not designed as the outer rear seat belts. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was concerned for the safety of his three children. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure would be escalated. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while attempting to drive out of the driveway, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle failed to respond as designed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was diagnosed with a defective RF module that was causing a failure on the COM buss system. The vehicle was repaired, but afterwards the contact experienced a failure with the passenger’s side window. The contact inspected the vehicle himself and noticed the original RF module was still connected. The contact asked the dealer why the original RF was still mounted. The dealer informed the contact that the failure with the original RF module was caused by the SRS OCI module. The vehicle was repaired a second time. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 47,696.

Hood vibrates wildly with high winds/driving over 65mph/ or tractor trailer passing by on a 2 lane rd. Many times I pull over on the side of the highway inspecting the hood to see if its open but no the latch is closed. Upon research on Ram truck forums this appears to be a massive problem. the 1500 series has a recall TSB 23-029-18 issued but not the 2500, 3500 series. The aluminum hood is flimsy and after some time vibrating it looks like the latch could eventually give way and the hood could open while driving. I would not have bought a newer Ram 2500 had I known of this issue. Just stopping on the side of the highway to inspect the hood is dangerous enough. my intention was to buy a solid truck not a paper tiger of a truck. Mark my words this will end up being a class action lawsuit. hopefully no dies from this faulty engineering.

While driving, the truck began to violently shake when downshifting. As I was exiting the highway and braking, the shaking intensified, and the truck stalled while I was traveling around 30 MPH, causing a complete power loss. To avoid a collision, I veered off the ramp and ended up scraping a road sign, which caused damage to the bed above the right fender, the road sign was intact and there was no damage to the sign. When I attempted to restart the truck and placed it in drive, it accelerated on its own. Applying the brakes only made it accelerate further, causing the truck to lunge forward uncontrollably. I managed to slow it down by putting it in neutral, regaining full brake control. I was able to get the truck to my driveway, but as soon as I turned into the driveway, it stalled again. I had to repeat this process to make it home as I didn't have cell service and was unable to call for a tow. This issue is extremely concerning, a complete power loss while driving, especially one that forces you off the road to avoid an accident, poses a grave safety hazard. My life and safety were jeopardized due to this malfunction.

- #11633778January 2, 2025TIRES
I purchased this 2022 Ram 2500 crew cab diesel 4x4 in June of 2023. The truck was purchased brand new with only 8 miles on it. The truck had the original OEM - Firestone Transforce HT LT275 70 R18 tires. The truck has 9500 miles on it now and I just noticed that all 4 tires have dry rot type cracking around a slightly depressed ring on the sidewall of the tires. This looks similar to the defective tires described in a voluntary recall of the same tires in 2021. These tires appeare to be defective. There is no reason that tires that are a few years old wth only 9500 miles on them should have this uniform dry rot type cracking on all 4 tires. I took the truck to Discount tire and the technician confirmed that the tires were not safe to operate so now I have to buy all 4 tires and I am replacing the spare as well. I should not have to buy a whole set of truck tires at 9500 miles! 2021 Recall information: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Subject: Complaint Regarding Delay in DPF TSB Repair for RAM 2500 To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this complaint regarding an extended delay in repairing my 2023 RAM 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ) under Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 25-005-24 REV. A, which addresses a manufacturing defect in the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system. My truck has been at the dealership for over two weeks, and I have been informed that the necessary parts are on backorder with no estimated time of arrival. The issue began when my vehicle's Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminated, and the vehicle exhibited symptoms as described in the TSB (frequent DPF regenerations and performance derate mode). The dealership confirmed the issue aligns with the conditions outlined in the TSB and stated that the DPF replacement is required. Despite their acknowledgment of the issue, the dealership has been unable to provide a timeline for the part's arrival, explaining that the parts “just show up.” This lack of information and prolonged delay is unacceptable for a repair covered under warranty and related to a known manufacturing defect. The delay has significantly disrupted my daily life, as this vehicle is crucial for [personal/work purposes, towing, etc.]. Additionally, the lack of communication from both the dealership and RAM Customer Care has only added to the frustration. I have attempted to contact RAM Customer Care at multiple numbers, but either no operators were available, or the calls were disconnected after a brief hold. I respectfully request that the appropriate agencies investigate this delay and hold FCA (Stellantis) accountable for ensuring timely repairs for vehicles affected by manufacturing defects. Please feel free to contact me for further details or documentation, including the TSB, service records, and communication history. Thank you for your time and assistance. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

1. Complete Brake Failure. No warning lights came on. There is no emergency warning system for Brake Failure. This could have been catastrophic. This could have turned deadly if we were driving on the highway with no warnings Dec 15, 2024 I drove the truck during the day on the highway and made various stops for Christmas Shopping. I went for dinner with my Family. After dinner climbed into the truck and depressed the break and started the truck. Once the truck started the break pedal could be pushed to the back floorboards. I know this was not right. Turned the truck off and started it again and up it in drive thinking it would correct. It did not turned onto a sidewalk put he truck in park and called a towtruck. 2. The 12" display goes black constantly. Even after several software upgrades. You cannot see heat/radio/ mapping/ phone system nothing it completely shuts down 3. Transmission, when you stop and then drive slowly, press the brakes lift off the brakes slightly the truck lunges forward so you really have to be careful or you will crash into the car in front of you.

August of 2023 I took my truck in for a check engine light. The dealership diagnosed it and said my def tank senor is turning on the check engine light. They repaired it, when I picked up the truck they told me that "it was burnt out" and replaced the part. Now 14 months later it's having the same issue. Wondering if other ram 2500 owners are having this same issue and if it is a repetitive issue. The repair cost me over $963.00 dollars.
