I have a rear window leak that is that is from a manufacturing defect, as described in this TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10247466-9999.pdf I originally took the vehicle into the dealer in advance of my factory extended warranty expiring and they said they would call me back to schedule a fix/replacement. They never did. Now, my extended warranty has expired and when I went back in to schedule, they are saying that the repair will not be covered, despite the TSB and warranty extension being in place because the "XL1" code does not show up in their system. The dealer instructed me to call Stellantis Customer Care, where I was connected with an overseas call center that said they were unable to do anything and that I should return the vehicle to the dealer, who already told me they will not cover the repair. It has been several months of back and forth and I would like to get this corrected before I go through ANOTHER winter season with a leak.

The alternator failed on my vehicle leaving the vehicle without any power in the middle of the interstate roadway having to manually pushed to the side of a very busy highway then towed to a repair shop afterwards. Simply put, my truck just killed in the middle of a interstate very shortly after having a low battery light come on. Speaking with the repair people at the Ram dealership there is no way to repair the alternator and they currently have over 5,000 of these on backorder from them going out in other vehicles with the same alternator. Warning lamps came on the dashboard but only about 30 minutes before the vehicle lost power and was unable to move.

My power steering went out when driving on the highway. I had it towed to the dealership and was told the power steering rack fried and it would be almost $5 to fix. Taxes LINE C CONCERN: Power steering warning pops up on dash at startup and I have no power steering. The light goes away after a minute or two and the steering comes back. The truck sat for five days and this issue started on my first startup after (6/19/24). The battery hasnt been changed or jumped POTENTIAL CAUSE: Confirmed customer concern. Found DTC U0131 -00 - Lost Communication With Power Steering Control Module "A" and the EPS module is completely unresponsive. Removed connectors to the power steering rack and found that the main power and ground has been hot and has melted the connector and is full of corrosion. The power steering rack has internally shorted causing these issues. The steering rack needs replaced and the connector is not serviceable and the harness must be replaced.

My 2023 Ram 1500 TRX has recurring safety-related failures of the infotainment system affecting both Uconnect 5 (12” screen) and earlier Uconnect 4 units. These issues are widespread in 2021–2024 Ram TRX and Ram 1500 models and began or worsened after forced over-the-air updates. The primary defect is black-screen failures while driving. When the screen goes black or freezes, the truck loses all functions controlled through the display, including HVAC/defrost, backup camera, vehicle settings, seat controls, and performance gauges. This creates an immediate safety hazard: I cannot adjust climate/defrost, cannot see the required rear-view camera when shifting to reverse, and cannot access key vehicle information. Owners across multiple years consistently report: • Black screens, freezes, and reboots • Loss of HVAC control and dual-zone functions • Backup camera not displaying • Vehicle/Apps tabs failing to open • Uconnect error messages • Smaller, harder-to-read gauges after updates • Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto failures • No option to decline or roll back OTA updates These failures distract the driver, remove access to federally required equipment (rear camera), and eliminate visibility and climate controls that directly affect safe operation. The system becomes unpredictable and unstable despite the vehicle being in motion. My vehicle experiences the same issues, including: small fonts, error popups, screen bouncing and being unresponsive. Backup cam shuttering. Unable to modify driving mode,.... Because this affects essential safety-related controls and visibility, I believe this is a safety defect in Ram/Stellantis Uconnect 4 and Uconnect 5 systems. I request NHTSA open a defect investigation and require Ram to correct these failures.

My 2023 Ram 1500 TRX has recurring safety-related failures of the infotainment system affecting the Uconnect 5 (12” screen). These issues are widespread in 2021–2024 Ram TRX and Ram 1500 models and began or worsened after forced over-the-air updates. The primary defect is black-screen failures while driving and loud screeching noises coming from the radio. The loud screeching noise causes you to immediately pull the vehicle over to turn off the truck or manually reset the radio. My vehicle experiences the same issues, including: black screen while driving and loud screeching noise, loss of HVAC, camera not available, and system rebooting. Because this affects essential safety-related controls and visibility, I believe this is a safety defect in Ram/Stellantis Uconnect 5 systems. I request NHTSA open a defect investigation and require Ram to correct these failures. Ram has known of these issues reported to RamCares for months and have yet to correct it.

My 2022 Ram 1500 TRX has recurring safety-related failures of the infotainment system affecting both Uconnect 5 (12” screen) and earlier Uconnect 4 units. These issues are widespread in 2021–2024 Ram TRX and Ram 1500 models and began or worsened after forced over-the-air updates. The primary defect is black-screen failures while driving. The system becomes unpredictable and unstable despite the vehicle being in motion. My vehicle experiences the same issues, including: Forward Collision warning randomly stops working until a restart. My TRX has multiple suspension modes, since the update I am stuck in Off Road mode, which means my suspension is very loose and not really meant for on road driving. Because this affects essential safety-related controls and visibility, I believe this is a safety defect in Ram/Stellantis Uconnect 4 and Uconnect 5 systems. I request NHTSA open a defect investigation and require Ram to correct these failures.

- #11702790December 3, 2025FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL, ENGINE
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle started to hesitate while depressing the accelerator pedal, with the oil and check engine warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over and attempted to restart the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to restart. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to the residence. The contact used a code reader to diagnose the vehicle and retrieved DTC: P0087 (Fuel Relay Flash System). The system advised the contact to replace the diesel injection pump, fuel pump, and fuel water separator filter. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact called the dealer and left a message. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

While I was driving my vehicle, the power steering warning came on and moments later the steering wheel locked - I could not steer my vehicle. I stopped the vehicle and it started firing all sorts of warnings. It was like all systems went haywire. Service shifter, service power steering, service electronic stability control, acc/fcw unavailable, service required, service airbag system, collision control, check engine, anti-lock breaks. The windshield wipers started without being tuned on, the engine revved up an got very loud like an airplane engine. I turned off the vehicle. When the tow truck arrived, the truck would not start so he walked away to grab the pulley and the truck started on it's own. My biggest concern is that I lost the ability to steer while I was in motion. I was informed of a VB8 recall for power steering but told my vehicle didn't qualify. This is a serious concern! It is currently with the dealership.

The radio in my truck keeps displaying a message about my uconnect not working and to seen an authorized dealer. This message blocks my view of my backup camera as well as creates a distraction while driving. After this message appears, my assist and SOS buttons no longer function as intended. The dealer has replaced multiple components related to this issue and have not resolved the problem. A substantial amount of people online also have this same complaint.

eTorque system is failing. Last week when stopped for a red light my truck stalled and would not advance when I applied the accelerator once the light turned green. My vehicle is supposed to ¨wake up¨upon touching the accelerator after going on ¨sleep mode¨whenever stopped. This did not happen and I was nearly rear ended by the vehicle behind me when my vehicle did not engage properly when applying the accelerator to move forward.
