The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon coming to a complete stop at the red traffic light, there was an abnormally loud metallic sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact was able to drive to the residence and inspect the vehicle. The contact noticed that the fuel tank had detached and was hanging by the rear fuel tank strap. The failure was due to corrosion on the fuel tank frame bracket. Pictures were taken of the failure and sent to a friend who was a certified mechanic. The contact was informed to strap the fuel tank back into place. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a certified mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V160000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 184,000.

My 2015 Ram 1500, Electronic Power Steering stopped working while driving on a two lane road putting myself and others in serious danger, the wheel abruptly became difficult to turn and maneuver the car, causing me to drift onto the shoulder. The car had to be towed as it was unsafe to drive, and once diagnosed by a mechanic the whole unit has to be replaced as they are not serviceable.

The issue started with power steering failure warning light flashed and then went of a couple times. I could also hear the fan kick on high, then the power steering warning light came on and stay on. When it stayed on, I lost power steering and barely could make a u turn on a 2 lane divided high way. This problem went on randomly for approximately 2+ weeks. The fact that all power steering is lost with little to no notice is a very dangerous situation depending on what and where the vehicle is traveling at the time. I took it to Peters in Longview the dealership, and they said that the Electronic Power Steering needed to be replaced. This situation, symptoms, and diagnosis all are just like the current numerous issues with EPS on Dodge rams including the open investigation. I am very concerned about the failures of these EPS's on Rams,

When fueling, gas pump kicks off due to pressure build up inside of tank/filler neck. Gas has spilled out on vehicle from filler neck when this has happened. Have to constantly hold gas nozzle in a very slow trickle to be able to fuel truck. Sensor is not serviceable due to being inside gas tank. Has been an ongoing issue since first starting with no remedy from dealerships.

ABS,BRAKE Warning lights on. Brakes locked up during emergency stop which resulted in loss of steering control. Cleared ABS code and it immediately reappears. Appears ABS Module is defective. When I called dealership to order ABS module was told not available due to engineering hold. I know other year Ram models have active recall on same issue and component.

My 2022 Ram 1500 is experiencing a "lurching" or "bumping" forward and backwards when moving from park to drive or reverse. The issue is most apparent after coming to a stop and releasing the brake to accelerate. You can feel a "Bump" sensation as the drivetain re-engages. Have taken to dealer and been told this is "normal operation" but I refuse to accept it. Have been researching this a lot lately and have found many instances of other trucks experiencing the same issue with no fix. Links to examples of others in the same situation below. [XXX] [XXX] The problem lies in the binding of drive shaft slip yoke. Either in the 2 piece driveshaft splines OR at the transfer case. Many are temporarily remedying the issue by applying grease to the splines and this prevents the binding for a temporary amount of time. I was trying to park my vehicle in my garage, where I need to get within 1-2" from the wall for the garage door to close. When I try to release the brake to creep towards the wall, the truck lurches as the binding releases and bumps into the wall. No damage/injury occured but if Ram doesn't address this with a repair or some sort of remedy, someone may be injured. Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer for service, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, on October 18, 2025, the mileage was 113,000; however, a dealer later informed the contact that the vehicle was last serviced in 2024, at 204,000 miles.

The ABS / check trailer brakes warning lights started coming on and staying on. Took it to the dealer to get it taken care of and they were no help. They said the ABS module was failing but the replacement part for that has been on back order forever. They said it was okay to drive that I just wouldn't have the antilock brake system. Clearly a safety issue that it appears Ram has no interest in fixing.

The power steering rack and pinion intermittently loses power especially at low speeds or when the vehicle is powered on. It is available for inspection upon request and has been inspected by a certified ram technician. This same issue is described in campaign number 19V812000 published by the nhtsa among other vehicles of this same make and model. There were no prior warnings or indications of the issue. [XXX] is the first time this issue presented but has become a daily occurrence and is the only mode of transportation for a family of four, consisting of two young children under the age of [XXX] . The concern is the safety of traveling with this issue may cause a crash or leave this family stranded due to the failure of the electrical components not allowing the vehicle to reset. Factory reset and software updates have been attempted, however further investigation has led to the diagnosis of internal components shorting out. - #11710471January 12, 2026AIR BAGS
On Thursday, January 8, 2026, I was operating my vehicle when an oncoming single vehicle traveling in the opposite direction entered a curve at an excessive speed, lost control, and crossed into my lane. I attempted to steer away to avoid the collision; however, the oncoming vehicle struck my vehicle along the driver’s side. The collision caused significant damage to the driver's side and resulted in a failure of the passenger-side rear wheel/tire assembly, complete detachment of the tire from the vehicle. During the collision, none of my vehicle’s airbags deployed, despite the side-impact nature of the crash and the force of the collision. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The airbag restraint system failed to deploy during a significant collision involving the driver. The vehicle and airbag system remain intact and are available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The lack of airbag deployment during a driver-side impact increased the risk of injury to me as the vehicle operator. Airbags are designed to provide supplemental protection in collisions of this type, and the absence of deployment reduced occupant protection. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No diagnostic inspection or reproduction testing has yet been performed. Evaluation by a dealer or manufacturer representative is pending. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Police responded to the accident scene. The incident has been reported to insurance representatives. Manufacturer inspection has not yet occurred, but the vehicle remains available for review. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights, dashboard messages, or other symptoms related to the airbag

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the cause of the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with turbocharger failure. The contact was informed that the turbocharger needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and unintendedly decelerated to 15 MPH. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated that the failure almost caused a head-on crash. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. In addition, the vehicle jerked forward at full speed, and the tires were spinning. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed exhaust climate control. The contact was informed that the exhaust climate control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The manufacturer requested that the engineers inspect and investigate the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle had been at the dealer for 12 weeks, and no additional information was provided by the dealer or the manufacturer. The contact was not made aware of the results of the investigation or whether the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The contact requested a buyback. The contact stated that the vehicle was an ECO diesel vehicle, which was no longer being manufactured. The failure mileage was approximately 17,560.

Two occurrences where the vehicle stalls when accelerating from a stop, shifts into park, and applies the parking brake. I believe this is the same issue as the PE24018 investigation.

The same issues related to NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation PE24018. Engine stall while stopped at a red light on, battery warning light on, vehicle voltage gauge extreme low, auto start light came on. It took several tries to get the truck started again. This has happened SEVERAL times since purchasing the vehicle in early 2022. Sometimes the check engine light comes on. Once it took several hours for the vehicle to restart.

I bought this truck used from a dealer in 2022. From the start the resting voltage of the car was a problem getting 12.7v and when I was driving it would often only get up to 13.4v. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it completely in 2023. It still shows low resting voltage and driving voltage. I told them and they said it was fine and not to worry. Now for the past 6 months it has been making a whirring sound that gets louder as I accelerate. I took it back to them and they said they didn't hear anything wrong, which is an outright lie. It still hasn't gotten better so I took it to a different mechanic and they said its a bad alternator and that they are very expensive and on back order. I tried setting up an appointment with the dealer to look at it again and they said I am now out of warranty and will charge me a diagnostic fee and if it is the alternator it again isn't covered by the warranty. I have been searching online and this is something thousands of other customers have been experiencing and there is a class action lawsuit about this as well. I am kindly asking that you look into this and if appropriate issue a recall for this. I shouldn't have to pay thousands of dollars to fix an alternator for a truck that only has 60k miles on it. My truck is only worth $29k so having to pay for a repair that is about 7% of my vehicle value is ridiculous.
