EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. While driving approximately 45 MPH, the contact was pulled over by the Local Police and was informed that the taillights were dark. The contact turned on the exterior lights using the automatic function on the light switch. The contact stated that there was no warning illuminated. The contact depressed the brake pedal and the brake lights operated as needed. The contact stated that the other exterior lights were operated as designed. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact’s husband checked the main fuse box, and all the fuses were operational, and the taillight bulbs were operational as well. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and transferred the contact to a local dealer for assistance. The dealer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 46,898.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
When I receive an alert for approaching emergency vehicle EVAS (Emergency Vehicle Alert System) powered by HAAS, the audio is completely muted on my radio and the only way to fix it is to manually reset the radio, which requires digging into the menu, taking eyes off the road, it's the opposite of safe. My audio will not work after receiving one of these alerts until the radio is reset.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System). The local dealer was contacted to schedule an appointment; however, on the day of the appointment, the dealer called and informed the contact that parts were not available, and that the manufacturer was shipping a limited amount of parts to the dealers. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

STEERING
The vehicle steering was acting odd several times prior to the accident on the morning of October 28th 2024 when I was driving 55-60 mph on a highway I was going around a sweeping curve to the right when my truck veered across the center lane and I tried to pull the vehicle back into my lane which ultimately didn’t happen and I collided into the rear door of 4 door sedan. No one was hurt but, I could have been killed from the head on collision and nobody is willing help me or I don’t know who to talk to. Insurance totaled my truck, I lost 15k in equity and I have nightmares about this accident. There was a dump truck directly behind the vehicle I collided with, if the timing was slightly different, I probably wouldn’t be here right now and nobody seems to care about that. I want Ram to accept responsibility and do what they need to do correct the issue and give me a new truck or compensate me for my mental health and pain and suffering and the loss of equity.

While drivinh ABS module stopped working in 2019 Ram 1500, found out their is a recall but my vehicle is not included....The OEM module is back ordered since Covid....This is unacceptable because that tells me this is a common problem and should be addressed.

CUSTOMER STATES HIS VEHICLE IS TICKING MORE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS WARMED UP. CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF 250.00 ON DIAG. CUSTOMER IS AWARE OF 3-5 DAYS OUT ON DIAG. Cause: HEARD THE TICKING NOISE IS COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE. NEED TO REMOVE RIGHT CYLINDER HEAD TO INSPECT LIFTERS. FOUND CYLINDER 6 HAS A SLIGHT MISFIRE WHICH IS CORRESPONDING TO THE TICKING NOISE. LINE #B Cause: PULLED VVT FROM MOTOR AND FOUND A LOT OF METAL SHAVINGS ON IT. AS SHOWN IN VIDEO AND PICTURE. FOUND TSB S1709000010 - REV B. Customer complaints may include abnormal engine noise, rough idle, lack of power, misfire. AS PER TSB, NEED TO REPLACE MOTOR DUE TO METAL SHAVINGS INSIDE OILING SYSTEM. THE DEBRIS MAY CLOG OIL PORTS INSIDE MOTOR AND CREATE ISSUES IN THE FUTURE. Correction: NEED TO REPLACE LONG BLOCK All notes from dodge dealership service

The recall for the loss of signal from the tone ring in recall 66A was supposed to allow the vehicle to use the signal from the camshaft positioning sensor. This recall was completed on my truck but the loss of signal from a bad tone ring has resulted in the same condition as the original recall which is inoperability of the vehicle. This still poses a safety threat as the recall did not correct the issue. The manufacturer is now claiming that the recall period is expired and the tone ring failure will not be covered. the repair is $1700 and may still result in a failure of the vehicle to maintain propulsion as it did for me on Jan 30th, 2026. I have a case open with Stellantis to try and get an answer to this, but it is still a safety concern. case number 895950295

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the ABS and the traction control warning lights were intermittently illuminated, causing the 4WD and the traction control systems to become inoperable while driving. The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone, where it was scanned, and a DTC for the ABS module failure was found. The dealer and the manufacturer were contacted, and the contact was informed that the part to repair the vehicle was not available, and that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

Manufacturer states that the repair parts are available, but they are not allowing dealerships to make the repair for some undisclosed reason. The Manufacturer is misrepresenting that a repair is available when it is not and is not able to provide any more information on when this will be remedied.

As I was driving at 55mph on the hwy I started smelling gas. I thought it was the car in front of me so I was just going to pass him, but quickly realized I did not have the power to pass another car. So I pulled over on the highway and got out of my truck and noticed flames dripping from the center of the vehicle by looking at the front driver wheel area. I tried to put out with a fire extinguisher that a bystander had given me, but it was just too late in the truck was engulfed in flames.

SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH and approaching a speed hump, the driver's side front wheel detached at the ball joint, disabling the vehicle. The vehicle was towed by AAA to a certified mechanic. The mechanic determined that the driver's side ball joint cotter pin was either fractured or missing. The mechanic became aware of a failure with the passenger’s side wheel, also. The vehicle was repaired. The contact attempted to contact the manufacturer, but the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
My ABS is not working due to a faulty ABS module or hydraulic control unit this has caused my truck to lock up the brakes during a hard stop instead of the ABS working it also has affected the cruise control. It no longer works. This is not an issue just with the 2500,3500 let’s get 1500 on board.

The alternator/generator (part #68623194AC) stopped working and rendered the car undriveable. This happened while we were driving. It is available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed. The car started making a terrible noise prior to all of the lights coming on and it becoming undrivable.

Failure of the ABS control module. Scanning of the trouble code shows internal electronic failure code C2200-49. Loss of ABS on vehicle, decreased stability on wet surfaces. Appears to be a known issue with Rams, my vehicle is not on the recall list for this issue but should be there should be a wider recall forced on Ram for this issue. Loss of ABS and traction control, Loss of cruise control, and increased risk of transmission damage that may result in loss of drive at wheels during operation that may result in an accident.

When coming to a stop at a stop sign, my truck randomly shut off while in gear, automatically shifted to park and put the ebrake on. I restarted my truck and shut off the ebrake and drove fine the rest of the way.
