The tail lights keep going out on both sides. The tail light harness does not fit the female adapter properly. You have to hold it pushed in to get the light to come on but when you let go it turns back off. I have already replaced the sockets with Mopar OEM parts and am still having the problem. After researching I found that this is a common issue with this vehicle. It is a safety concern because without tail lights keep other drivers may not be able to see my vehicle at night or when I am braking.

My 2018 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel failed during acceleration on a busy freeway at 70 mph. I was able to avoid traffic and coast to the right shoulder. After paying for a tow, my scan tool called out four permanent codes: P0336, P061C, P062B, and U1401, proving the unsafe stall was directly caused by a delaminated or broken tone wheel. This failure is the root cause behind my open safety recall 66A. However, recall 66A only calls for a software fix and does not address my hard no-start condition. Since my Ram 1500 was manufactured in April of 2018 and the X94 warranty extension cut off date is March 26, 2018, I have no recourse to force FCA to address my failed tone wheel related to and actually the root driver behind the 66A safety recall. I intend to request FCA perform a "Goodwill" repair of the tone wheel. My complaint is I do not have a way forward to get my truck road worthy and safe under recall 66A. FCA cannot perform 66A on my Ram since the software repair cannot be completed while the truck is in a hard no-start condition due to the root driver behind the 66A safety recall. I should not be required to pay for a component known by FCA and the NHTSA to be the actual cause behind the safety recall.

- #11751045July 17, 2026FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL
The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70-75 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was coasted to the side of the road. The contact stated that the vehicle restarted; however, the failure reoccurred while driving, and the vehicle was coasted to the side of the road. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was first towed to a dealer, who denied service. The vehicle was then towed to another dealer, where metal shavings were found throughout the fuel system. The dealer cleaned the fuel tank and replaced the remaining fuel system components under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, the vehicle failed to start. The dealer stated that the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) was full and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the instrument panel displayed that the DPF was 70 percent full, which contradicted the statement from the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 240,000.

- #11751211July 17, 2026AIR BAGS, SERVICE BRAKES
I am reporting a safety concern with my 2014 Ram 1500, which recently reached 100,000 miles. The ABS module has failed, and replacement parts are not available to repair this critical safety system. Many other Ram owners appear to be experiencing the same issue. Additionally, my airbag warning light is on, creating further concerns about vehicle safety. A failure of essential safety systems with no available repair solution is unacceptable. I urge Ram/Stellantis to make parts available and resolve this issue as soon as possible to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.

- #11751134July 17, 2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
"I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding a recurring, dangerous safety violation in my 2022 Ram truck. The entire Uconnect infotainment screen completely blacks out, freezes, and enters an unexpected reboot cycle while the vehicle is in operation. This total system failure causes an intermittent, complete loss of the rearview backup camera, creating an immediate crash hazard and placing the vehicle in direct non-compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111 (FMVSS 111). Furthermore, when the system crashes, it completely disables all cabin environment controls—preventing the use of the windshield defroster—and creates a severe, unpredictable distraction while driving in traffic until the system finishes recycling."

I was attempting to turn around in my driveway when the steering locked up and I could not control the steering. If I had been driving on the road instead of in my driveway I could have crashed into something or someone, potentially causing severe injury or death to myself or others. This was a horrifying experience in my driveway, let alone on the road! I had my truck towed to the repair shop, where they determined that the power steering rack failed. It cracked completely in half. Attached please find the photos that the repair shop provided, along with my repair invoice. There should be a recall for this before people get killed!

- #11750799July 16, 2026UNKNOWN OR OTHER
I had just gotten off work around 730 or 745 ish. Drove my truck with the windows down , a few miles down the street to this strip mall / store area i frequent . Got out of the truck went in the store and other establishment . Was inside for maybe 5 mins . The truck was certainly turned off, windows up. When i came back out to the truck i opened the door and it was full of smoke and the armrest / center storage bin was molten and so hot it had melted the two pieces . I had a couple bottles of water in the truck and was able to put it out but had burned my left hand in the process . Once i was sure it was extinguished i moved it away from parked cars to an empty lot to prevent anothe possible fire from damaging other vehicles . I then had it towed to Bob Caldwell on Morse road in Columbus Ohio. This was on Saturday july 11th . Still no adjuster put to the vehicle since filing my insurance claim. It’s Thursday July 16th now .

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the fuel system was replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, after the repair, the vehicle persistently experienced fuel injector leaks and fuel line failures. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle at the residence, a fuel injector leak was noticed along with fuel leaking onto the exhaust. Additionally, the contact noticed thick white smoke emerging from the engine bay on one occasion, suspected a fire hazard, and used a fire extinguisher to dissipate the smoke. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle entered LIMP Mode and stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road and verified that a fuel injector had blown. The vehicle was driven to the dealer, who had advised the contact that the vehicle was safe to drive. The contact also stated that a fuel line failed while driving, requiring the vehicle to be towed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, where technicians retrieved diagnostic trouble codes indicating low fuel pressure; however, the contact was informed that no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to several other dealers, who referred the contact to the initial dealer who completed the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 232,000. The VIN was invalid.

I was attempting to turn around in my driveway to go someplace when the steering locked up and I could not control the steering. It stopped working. This was a horrifying experience in the driveway, let alone on the road! I had my truck towed to the repair shop where they determined that the Electronic Power Steering Rack failed. - #11750707July 15, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
When filling the truck full, fuel will occasionally spill out onto myself and the ground. The fuel also leaks into the cap canister, purge valve and dumps fuel into the manifold as well as leaking on the ground. When driving the entire cab reeks of fuel. This is a known issue by Dodge and they have a TSB out on it. My vehicle could become a fireball at any time. Dealer replaced my evap canister but didn’t even give me the TSB which wound up costing me more money once my mechanic found the problem. This is a 3,000.00 + repair for something that can cause a severe fire.
