When I start the engine the power steering light comes on. The steering wheel remains very firm and the wheel can not be turned. After approx 10-15 minutes, depending on how long it takes the vehicle to warm up, the power steering light will go out. At this time the vehicle can be driven and the light has not come back on while driving. There was a former recall on this same type of issue in the past involving the EPS. I have filled out this form before and feel that this is huge safety issue and I believe this warrants another recall. There are several forums online discussing others having this same issue. Thanks

Since purchase of the vehicle, I have experienced transmission surges and low power and fuel economy. When decelerating to a stop or U turn and the vehicle is in ECO, right before full stop, the RPMs will drop to 300-500 and surge back up to 1500-1800 causing a lunge forward. Vehicle has been in 6 times for a persistent transmission surge paired with low power and fuel economy. Dealer has replaced the valve body, transmission control module, wiring, and complete transmission replacement. I can reproduce the issue everyday near my place of employment and have video evidence of the issue. Additionally, since the transmission was replaced, when going 10+ miles on the highway, the engine cooling fan runs full out and fuel economy plumets.

- #11647652March 11, 2025VISIBILITY/WIPER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
The windshield of my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn was damaged by road debris and requires replacement. However, the manufacturer (FCA US LLC/Stellantis) has failed to supply the replacement windshield, rendering my vehicle undrivable for an extended period due to their inadequate parts supply chain. This delay creates a major safety risk because the vehicle cannot be driven legally or safely without a windshield. In emergency situations, the vehicle would be unusable, and I have incurred significant financial harm due to its inoperability. A new vehicle should not have months-long delays for critical safety components. The OEM supplier (Carlex) has confirmed that the windshield is in stock and available to ship, meaning the issue is due entirely to FCA's failure to place the order or manage their supply chain. This demonstrates negligence in FCA/Stellantis' parts supply chain, impacting customers who require essential repairs. This issue is not an isolated incident but rather a symptom of FCA's failure to ensure part availability for new vehicles. A consumer should not have to wait months to obtain a necessary safety component for a brand-new vehicle. I request that NHTSA investigate FCA/Stellantis' failure to supply essential replacement parts in a reasonable timeframe as this represents a potentially systemic issue affecting vehicle owners.

The vehicle has always had an issue with turn signal canceling the left hand turn probably fails 30/40% of the time. There was a recall on this but requires a diagnostic to be performed. This has been completed twice and didn’t fail, but service writer and tech both witnessed it not working during driving test. Problem is StarParts won’t send parts to dealer because it passes their diagnostic. After complaints to dealer now StarParts wants to run test a third time the dealer and I agree the outcome will be the same. I sent email to StarParts regional manager (Benton Kuchefskil) twice and he refuses to respond. Basically the issue is they confirm it does not function properly but they won’t repair it because it passes their diagnostics. I have been trying to get this repaired since December

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Gauge cluster doesn't shut off, which kills the electrical system. This is likely due to a known issue from FCA as noted in Customer Satisfaction Notification 48A. FCA claims my truck is not affected even though it has the same Electronic Shifter Module, as well as is the same Model, Trim, Year... Just not the right VIN. The fix is a software update. They know the software in my truck is faulty, but won't update it in compliance with 48A. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Truck leaves me stranded if left not running for too long. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, I can reproduce it myself reliably... I have an appointment with the Ram dealer on 3/14/25. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. I purchased the Truck [XXX]... the issues started within a few weeks. It has killed the battery 3 times now. Here is the existing notice 48A... My truck SHOULD BE ON THIS LIST! PLEASE HELP! My 2020 Ram 1500 5.7L e-Torque started making a noise. I then received a "Battery" indicator Light, then received an "Engine" indicator light. I was losing voltage on my battery. The truck is now at the Dealership. The alternator has failed (87k miles). No one has the part. It's been on back order since November 2024. Online research indicates that over 3000 are on back order. I can't even place an order with Mopar (Genuine Ram Parts Supplier). I'm also told that the repair will be $2300 - seems like a lot for an alternator that you can't get that can be replace in about an hour.

My 2016 Ram 1500 is having all of the problems that the S19 Electric Power Steering Recall states will happen when it's failing and is greatly affecting the steering when I drive it . At times it's all I can do to steer it . I first ran my Vin for recalls and it showed None. I've reported it to the FCA and questioned them as to why my 2016 Ram was not included in this recall when it's clearly doing everything that it says in the recall, The ladies response when I asked if I was going to have to be in an accident and get injured or killed, was that she wasn't saying that in so many words but yes . I want something done about this because I shouldn't have to pay for a repair that is clearly in a recall for the 2016 year Ram 1500 which is what mine is. They are welcomed to look at my truck anytime and I'm going to have it taken to the dealership so I can have documentation of the problem .

- #11647417March 10, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
While driving I noticed a message that said “service electrical brake system. I took it to my local Ram dealer. They hooked up a tablet that said there was something wrong with the ABS module and it needs to be replaced. The tech then told me that there are no ABS modules available anywhere in the country, they are on back order. So here is where the complaint begins. If there are none available, that would suggest to me that an awful lot of these ABS modules have gone bad and had to be replaced I then called Ram customer service and they requested I get an order number and part number from my local Ram dealer. I did so and they had another customer service person call and when I spoke to her she said the ABS modules are unavailable because they are currently under review by their engineers. Which tells me that there is something wrong with the ABS modules. There isn’t much more of a safety hazard then not having brakes. I don’t see why a recall has not been initiated by Ram or Chrysler for these ABS modules. I am asking you to start an investigation into this problem. The power steering on my 2019 Ram pickup keeps going off so that i am forced to muscle the steering wheel when making turns. I filed a claim on this previously but never heard back from you. It takes quite a bit of strength to manuever the truck without power steering and this is quite unsafe in my opinion; for example, I do not allow my wife or daughter to drive the truck with this dangerous situation. I also took my vehicle into the local dealer for repair of this issue. They told me I had a weak battery with "low codes" and charged me $400 for a new battery. They told me they could not find anything else to report. Very frustrating!!!! More than once now the vehicle has applied its parking brake, the engine stalled, and stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road. It then required me to reset the emergency brake to “release”, return the shifter knob to park, and restart the vehicle in the middle of busy intersections!!

Was driving my truck and everything was working fine then the power streering just shut off making it very difficult to control the vehicle then proceeded to go off and intermittently at different times after that now it has been completely gone and not came back. The rack and pinion would have to be replaced.
