Brake line is thoroughly corroded, went to a repair shop, when they brought it back down, the Subframe collapsed. Mercedes has a 20 yr warranty on the subframe so they will cover that but want another $3K to fix the brake line that was obviously tied to the same mfr issue that the sub frame was in regards to rusting. Dealer won't take any responsibility for anything but the subframe.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding serious and repeated issues with my 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300, purchased and serviced exclusively by authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships. 1. Repeated OEM Run-Flat Tire Failures Within the past two years, I have been forced to replace nine OEM run-flat tires, including: • 3 replacements at Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner, VA • 2 replacements at Goodyear Tires, Cattlemen Rd., Sarasota, FL • 4 additional replacements at certified service centers These failures occur under normal driving conditions, often without visible punctures or road hazards, and at safe speeds. Each tire replacement costs approximately $550, plus towing, diagnostic fees, and rental car costs. The financial and safety burdens are substantial, and this level of tire failure is not normal for any vehicle—particularly a low-mileage, luxury sedan. 2. Electrical/Dashboard Recording Malfunction My dashboard service history fails to record service visits, even when performed at Mercedes-Benz dealerships. This is deeply concerning as it compromises vehicle resale value, warranty tracking, and transparency of maintenance records. Despite multiple visits and attempts by service centers, the issue persists without resolution. 3. Financial Impact and Brand Reputation The total cost of repeated tire replacements and unresolved electrical issues has reached several thousand dollars, despite my vehicle having relatively low mileage and receiving all recommended service at authorized dealers. This experience is completely inconsistent with the quality and reliability promised by the Mercedes-Benz brand. I am requesting the following: • Full investigation into the defect rate of OEM run-flat tires on the 2017 E-Class models • Immediate inspection and repair of the dashboard/electrical recording issue at no cost to me • Reimbursement for tire-related costs and associated expenses incurred due to repeated failures.

While driving, the steering from left to right started to get choppy or hard. With the cruise control on, I ran off the road because of the fight between the rack and pinion(steering wheel) and the cruise control.

Drove the car through a 6" puddle and the engine was hydro locked, alternator and starter died leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. This car is in Florida and I would expect it to be able to go through a puddle. When getting the engine replaced I was told that my E350 was not the only one with this issue.

I recently took my 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350 to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership after experiencing corrosion of the rear subframe. The dealership confirmed and is servicing the vehicle under an active recall notice that extended the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty from 4 years/50,000 miles to 20 years /unlimited miles. After removing the subframe for repair, they observed serious corrosion of the brake lines. There had been no warnings or symptoms to alert me to any corrosion problems with the brake line prior to this. Most likely, the issue would not have been discovered if the dealership had not removed the subframe. The dealership advised me that this issue requires immediate service due to safety concerns (potential failure) as the braking system could fail while driving the vehicle. The cost to have the work done is $5800. Beyond the dealership service center, I'm not aware if brake line has been inspected by others (engineers) in Mercedes-Benz. However, this issue appears to be frequently observed in vehicles experiencing the rear subframe corrosion issue.

Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2012 Mercedes Benz E350. Driver side fuel leak was excessive. Leak caused an excessive amount of gas to spill while driving on a 600 mile long round trip to St. Louis. The fuel filter sending unit had numerous stress cracks in the plastic. A massive failure was looming. I have pictures and have documented the failure. 2184700194 was the original part and now has changed too 2184700994. A component should be easily inspected to prevent such a dangerous situation. For the past 13 all services work was preformed by Mercedes.

I've had the car for 3 years and its all stock. It has 38,500 miles and today out of no where the driver side speaker in the door started making a crackling and popping noise. Smoke started coming from the speaker and filled the cabin. I quickly pulled over and turned off the car, because the smell of plastic burning was horrible. I was immediately alarmed by this and let the car cool down. I started driving again and it started again crackling and alot of smoke coming from the speaker. I called my mechanic and he said that that car had a known problem for a short and others had complained about their speakers melting due to overheating from the amplifier. He quickly searched the fuse box numbers and had me pull fuse #67 that disarmed the amp and speakers but allowed me to drive the car again. There is no warning and this is extremely dangerous due to a possible car fire. I am just thankful that my wife or children were not driving this car when this happened. I researched the problem more and I can't believe there has not been a serious recall for those amps that came with the car.

I have a 2019 Mercedes E300. My backup camera is cutting out while still in reverse. There is an open saftey recall for that specific year, make and model. Campaign #2022060007. Mercedes has told me there is no open recall for my vin even though I am experiencing the same saftey issue. The Issue has been diagnosed by an independent shop. It is a software update not a part that needs to be replaced. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or others. There has never been a warning light on for this issue.

My brakes went out while I was driving my family on a road trip. After getting towed I inspected the brake lines and they are absolutely destroyed. This is clearly a design flaw by Mercedes. This needs to be recalled. You have to drop the rear subframe to repair this. Absolutely ridiculous.

I am the owner of a 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 and am writing to formally express my concern regarding a persistent fuel leak issue I have experienced with my vehicle. Over the past months, I have spent more than $4,000 attempting to address this problem. Repairs have included the replacement of the fuel canister and the fuel pump. Despite these efforts, the vehicle continues to leak fuel from the area near the rear right tire, both when the vehicle is in motion and when it is parked. This issue presents a significant safety risk, not only to myself but to others on the road. I am aware that there is an existing recall for the 2014 E350 model related to similar fuel leakage problems. Given the similarities in design and the nature of the defect, I strongly urge Mercedes-Benz to investigate this matter and consider extending the recall to include the 2013 E350 models as well. I believe this is a critical safety matter that warrants immediate attention to prevent any potential accidents or hazards. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response and to a resolution that prioritizes customer safety.

My 2021 Mercedes-Benz E350 (VIN [XXX] ) developed a serious engine issue involving cylinder misfire and check engine light. The dealer diagnosed it as a leaking exhaust valve on cylinder 4, related to TSB LI01.30-P-072328, which documents valve seat wear in M260 engines. This is a known defect acknowledged by Mercedes in technical bulletins, and other customers in the U.S. have received warranty extensions or goodwill coverage. I was denied coverage even though this is a manufacturer defect that can lead to misfire, power loss, and potential stalling, posing a safety risk on the road. Mercedes-Benz USA refuses to cover the repair (~$7,600+), even though it relates to a factory-documented problem. I’m requesting that NHTSA investigate this engine defect, as it may qualify for a safety recall or mandatory extended warranty coverage.
