CAM shaft and yes it is available to be looked at. The vehicle was misdiagnosed multiple times and sent back home with the same error code while fixing other items that were not the root cause of the issue. The engine light was on with the misfire code when I brought it in and was repeatedly sent home and within 20 miles the same code returned.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had gone to the dealer three times for the recall repair before experiencing a failure with the vehicle; however, the part was not available for the recall repair. While awaiting the repair, while the contact's wife was driving approximately 60 MPH, there was a clanking sound coming from the engine compartment. The sound progressively grew louder. There was no warning light illuminated. On the fourth visit to the dealer, the vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure, and the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that parts were on backorder and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

Vehicle started displaying a red wrench icon with the Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System warning on the dash and then brought up the turtle/limp mode and the vehicle would not function. This only started happening after the 95B recall fix was performed on the vehicle. The vehicle is now at the dealership and they have informed me that there will not be a fix to the issue until approx. November of this year. Service Tech scan codes indicate "Digital Crash".

While driving vehicle goes into limp mode I lose acceleration but RPMs on dashboard jump into the red zone and various warning lights show up I coast off to the side and put vehicle in park and shut off engine. When I restart everything clears and vehicle is normal again. This happened 3 times so far and dealer had the car 12 days and cannot duplicate the problem saying no codes show up show up on the scanner.

Component/System: Electrical Power Steering (EPS) – steering cuts in and out while driving. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the steering intermittently fails, making the vehicle very difficult to control. This could easily cause an accident. Reproduction/Inspection: The issue has been reproduced multiple times while driving. The vehicle previously had an engine replacement at Bayird Dodge Chrysler Jeep in West Memphis, AR (now closed), but this steering problem remains unresolved. Manufacturer/Dealer Involvement: The original dealership is no longer in business, so I cannot return there for service. I have contacted Jeep/Stellantis Customer Care to request assistance. Warning Lamps/Messages: The EPS warning light has appeared during failures. The problem first appeared in [insert approximate date/month you noticed it]. Summary: The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee (VIN [XXX] ) has ongoing electrical power steering failures. The steering cuts in and out unexpectedly, creating an extreme safety hazard. This issue needs urgent investigation and resolution. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle had complete system shut down while driving. Multiple warning lights came on and vehicle went completely dead. I could have been severely injured or killed if I had been on a highway or if other cars had been behind me.Jeep stated that it was an airbag sensor. Upon picking up from dealership (May 30) warning light came on stating "service vehicle electric hybrid system". Jeep states this is a software issue with no known fix and that engineering has been notified of problem. Since that time the air conditioning stopped working and warning light continues to come on. Vehicle has been left at dealership as not confident in safety of vehicle.

When starting car, the push to start feature will not turn over and continuously cranks multiple times. The entire fuse box was replaced because the dealer told me that was the issue. The car is a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Numerous people online said they were forced to replace the fuel pump? Although Faulkner Buick in Trevose told me that there’s nothing wrong with my fuel pump. I can’t keep getting charged for repairs that are not necessary. Could this be a faulty part? that so many people have the same issue? Could you please investigate this as I just bought the car a month ago And it’s been at the dealer three times already. Thank you.

Every time the vehicle proceeds over a speed bump or a dip in the road, it feels as if something is lose and banging in the steering and suspension of the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer on numerous occasions, and they say they can never find anything wrong nor duplicate the issue. I’m concerned that at some point something may fail and I may lose control of the vehicle.

Delamination of infotainment system has occurred, causing a safety hazard if (or when) needing to use the SOS calling, hands free communication, or heads up navigation system. This is a manufacturers defect that may cause safety to myself or others due to distracting the driver by turning on and off seat warmers, adjusting climate control, randomly calling people and makes the operation of utilizing SOS features impossible. The component has not been inspected, but seems like a common occurrence amongst these this model year. No warning lamps or messages appeared and I was taken off guard when my infotainment system appeared to have a life of its own on the interstate.

- #11682655August 24, 2025BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
*The AEB light comes on saying Limited Functionality Service required. We have Taken it to the dealer and they service department said no codes for that problem showed up and said if it did it again pull into any dealership and have them check it. It happens constantly so it happened right when in front of one of their dealership so we pulled in and they checked again and it did come up showing an electrical issue. They saw our pictures I was continuing to take of the dash showing how often it comes up. So I did just that and had a photo book, the size of a wedding album showing how it went off sometimes every two hours. *Then the lane depart doesn't work, it will not vibrate, which we have all the settings on and set to the highest setting. *The warning for cross traffic when in reverse doesn't always work sometimes it won't even go off when someone walks close to the back of vehicle. * On just a few occasion the rear door will not close when button is pushed, we have to physically close it. *Sometimes it will continually slam on the breaks when we try to back out of our garage, taken several times of me putting in park and trying again. *Also sometimes when backing out it won't drive when I put in drive, I have to put in park, then move it to drive. *It is currently in the dealership, they have had it for 4 days and cannot figure it out but acknowledge it is happening.

Engine light came on: took in for service. The dealer recommends replacing a damaged Intake Manifold for $2,247. 33. It appears there are recalls on these for same year as my vehicle involving both Jeep and Ram Trucks. However My vin does not fall into the recall? I find this odd and I understand there has to be a cut off, but i believe my vehicle was made around the same time and I don’t think Chrysler was aware of the problem until later… I also have Engine Oil cooler leaking which I am unsure if it is related, but now I have extensive repairs for Coolant flushing/ radiator hoses and coolant hoses, metal fuel lines, and thermostat… I am just disappointed that a recall is valid on the same model and year as mine, I was unaware and now I have a $8,570.40 quote to get this fixed. I am wondering if the EGR cooler failure has led to this massive problem as I am aware the engine oil cooler and EGR cooler are releated along with manifold function/ efficiency. Now I have Oil and coolant mixing in my system… If my eco diesel jeep were included in the original recall, I may not be dealing with this unexpected visit. On April 12th my husband and I were driving our Jeep after it had a recall and update to fix the recall of a battery issue on all 4xE models. We were doing 45 mph down the road and it threw an error code that said “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System”, “Service Emergency Braking System” the Jeep then shut off and said for us to push the brake and press start for us to turn the car on in the middle of the road. We were able to safely get off the road, when we came to a stop the car put itself into park automatically. We had to start it a couple of times to make sure it was ok to turn around and drive home. It was then towed to the dealership. They told us they could see the issue logged in the system but they could not replicate the same issue after driving it. They told us that we had to come and pick up the Jeep and I told them how unsafe that made me feel for us and everyone on the road. They told us there’s nothing they could do for us. We got the car back and another issue arose where are Passive Entry Switch became corroded and our car kept unlocking itself throughout the night. The day we got it back from them we were driving it and we got the same “Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System” again. So I brought our Jeep back again and they told me in the service department they’ve been working with the engineers at Jeep and they are waiting for an update to fix it and it’s one of four in the area with this issue and Jeep is fully aware of the severity of the issue. They also told me they would be holding on to our car until it’s fixed. I was called by the head of the service department at that dealership and was told they need their loaner car back and they got word they’ll maybe have a fix for our car in November. They knowingly gave us our completely unsafe Jeep back and told us to try for Lemon Law - with all parties knowing the severity of the security and lives put at risk on the road. We have gotten this error code many times and are told there is no fix

I’ve got a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with about 55,000 miles on it. Earlier this year (2025) I started getting a dashboard warning - a red wrench icon with a lightning bolt with a message “service hybrid electric vehicle system”. The message would appear for about five seconds then disappear. Nothing showed up in the notices under Vehicle … System and there were no problems operating the vehicle. It is a plug-in hybrid. I continued to charge the vehicle at my home 40-amp charger. The first few times it happened I ignored it. After a third message I started worrying and contacted the dealership. \\\\n\\\\nI brought the Vehicle in for service on Tuesday July 22. The dealer diagnosed a digital crash code B273C-00. They recommended a repair as described in TSB is 08-116-25 REV. A for the Wrangler 4xe, saying the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee have identical systems, however, the repair is covered under warranty only for the Wrangler. I approved the repair and paid about $600. I've asked Jeep (via the Jeep Cares service, case 93915325) to consider covering the repair and refunding me. \\\\n\\\\nSince getting the car back 2 weeks ago I've put on about 1,200 miles and the message has not recurred. I won't be persuaded the problem is fixed until after about 6 months of driving. \\\\n\\\\nOther owners who have had digital crash messages on the Jeep Cherokee have experienced loss of power, systems failure and similar problems and advised me to report my incident, so I have in case it will help improve the safety of the vehicle.

Hello, I am reporting failure on the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee in which the drivers side headrest activated while the vehicle was not in operation and not involved in any accident. The active head restraint had activated while the vehicle was parked and in a non-running condition. No accident occurred during this time frame. The passenger side active headrest is still in the factory location and has not been activated. The drivers side head restraint has activated and can not be returned to original position. My current safety is at risk as the active head restraint is not functioning per original safety design intent. My head and neck are currently constrained in a position that causes discomfort while driving due to the location of the active head restraint. The manufacturer (Authorized dealer) has been contacted and they responded with a response including that a recall was not issued for this failure type. A warranty period was extended to 10 years from manufacture date which my 2013 has eclipsed. No inspections have been completed to date. The parts have been untouched since the date of discovery. There were no signs of this issues prior to discovery. There are no service or warning lights currently illuminated on the dash or driver information screen. This is a safety related failure and needs to be repaired by the OEM with no cost to the customer. A well documented and known issue exists and puts the owner/operator of the vehicle at a increased level of risk of injury by continuing to operate this vehicle in its current condition.
