The problem is unintended braking. It is possible for this malfunction would cause the car to be rear ended. Have not taken it to the dealer... yet. There is no warning, the car suddenly starts to brake while in cruise control mode without any other cars being near.

It takes increased effort to make necessary steering adjustments on my steering wheel. It’s most noticeable from the 12:00 ‘o’ clock position and I’m making small adjustments. I notice the problem after roughly 30 minutes of drive time.

- #11573039February 20, 2024AIR BAGS
My airbag warning light comes on intermittently. When the light is on, the airbags are non-functional. It comes on at various times while driving, and at various speeds. The official diagnosis is a flaw in the "internal resistance in driver's airbag inflator." This is a well-established problem in this model, and Honda offers extended warranty coverage for the passenger side airbag for this problem. Yet Honda refuses to take any responsibility or action for the drivers side with the same issue. Numerous other manufacturers have issued recalls or other corrective action for the same part.

I believe my steering has failed. I got it looked at, the dealership reported that nothing was wrong with it. My safety is at risk because it is hard to steer. It jerks on the highway. I believe it is cause my wheels/tires to also jerks and swivel. My car feels very shaky on the highway. I have not taken it to another mechanic because the dealership has already said they would not reimburse me if someone else replaced it. I have a warranty and do not want to pay a crazy amount of money if the dealership will cover it anyways.

The steering wheel feels like it is sticking which causes minor corrections to be over corrections. It’s like the steering wheel gets stuck and you have to force it to turn in order to make a correction.

I began having intermittent problems with my power steering system several months ago. While driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel gets "stuck", and I have to use force to unstick it, which causes overcorrection at times and makes it difficult to keep the car in the proper lane. Since there was a recall on my car involving the steering rack, my husband took my car into the Honda dealership in Gainesville, FL and explained the problems I've been having with the sticky steering. They drove the car, but said they could not replicate the problem I described, so no repair was done, but they did inspect the recalled steering rack. There have never been any warning lights or messages when the symptoms appear. Since taking the car to the dealership, the problem with the steering has been getting progressively worse, making it very difficult to drive. I called the dealership again today, and have an appointment to take it in again tomorrow, February 20, 2024.

I started having issues with my tire the tire felt wobbly like if it was loose I took it to Mavis Tire Shop it was closer to my house as an emergency I got my tire balanced and alignment. The tire felt fine for like a day then I started having the same issues so I took it to Honda service center which felt fine as well for like a day they ran a multipoint inspection and they said the car wasn’t aligned properly. The car felt good for like a day as well and I’m having the same issues. I believe traveling over 50 mph taking my car out of alignment on my route to work.

After a little while (15-30 minutes) of driving at highway speeds on long stretches, at least 50mph the steering wheel is jerking around. My car has 31,000 miles on it. I had it in regularly for service. The car has been serviced by Honda twice, they have assured me that everything looked okay. Noting it was the the 'tires' that were the problem. or the alignment. I have paid nearly $1000 out of pocket and the car is still jerking. They checked my VIN for the recall but said it wasn't included, yet i'm still experiencing jerking of the wheel despite alignment, rotation and balancing of tires. I feel my safety is at risk because the steering will jerk suddenly while driving straight (at highway speeds) and makes it difficult to stay in my lane.

My steering wheel gets stuck when I’m driving on the highway, causing me to have to pull the wheel to unstick. This happens frequently, every couple of seconds and makes driving feel less safe and I feel like I’m zig zagging while driving. I’ve notified my dealership since late December of last year and still have not been able to get a repair, there is no estimated time for getting the part which Honda says is on back order. Honda has denied to provide a rental while I wait and offered no alternative solution while I wait. I’m worried that driving the car like this puts me and others at risk for a car accident. I bought the car brand new last September. Any help you can provide to at least make Honda provide speedier repairs.

Part was leaking on transmission which caused it to burn out. There is a recall for this on multiple Honda Civics and mechanic said they are know for this but ours was not on the recall list. I have sent a previous request with no response. Please advise Honda to add this to thier recall and refund our monies.

My electric power steering system is causing the well known and documented "sticky steering" which is affecting the 2022 and 2023 Civics, CRVs, and some Acura models. My vehicle started this around 35,000 miles. I understand there is an ongoing investigation in progress, but would like to make a formal complaint to push for Honda to issue an official recall for this problem. The problem has been addressed by my local dealer, and they have ordered a replacement part that will supposedly fix the problem, by they could not give me an estimate for when the part would arrive. Therefore, I'm stuck driving a vehicle 50 miles a day to work and back which has very unsettling and potentially unsafe driving characteristics.

- #11572422February 16, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
I was notified of a Safety Recall by American Honda regarding the fuel pump module. I contacted to dealership and they are stating they will not have a remedy within a reasonable time period (60 days), rather they will have the parts available for a remedy in the fall of 2024, which is over six months away. Per the recall information provided on this website, they are supposed to have a way to fix this issue within 60 days from the date I contact them, but they won't even offer an inspection to see if the defect exists on my car.

2022 Honda civic which I lease. We have noticed a problem with steering wheel sticking at times when adjusting or starting to turn. Steering wheel sticks in both directions mainly at highway speeds. Cause for concern, dealership says there is not a problem or can NOT be detected. This is a problem.

I bought my car in July 2023. The steering wheel always felt stiff but i assumed it needed to be "broken in" so I thought nothing of it. Since November 2023, my steering wheel feels sticky when I'm driving straight. Sometimes it feels like I'm fighting my steering wheel before it allows me to adjust it. I've gotten it inspected at the dealership and the technician was able to reproduce the sticky feeling. There hasn't been any lights illuminated that would've signified a steering issue.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Civic. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

My 2019 Honda Civic has been under recall for months now. I wonder why it's taking so long for Honda to come up with a resolution. I called the Honda Recall/Customer Service Line a few weeks ago, and they said that the part was unavailable and that I should talk to my dealer to get an inspection to rule out any other causes. Over the past six months, I've been having on-again, off-again issues with my car, specifically after fuel-ups at gas stations. Initially, I thought this was an issue with the fuel quality, so I reported it to the Arizona Department of Agriculture, who told me the gasoline was acceptable. I've had to use fuel system cleaners and slightly higher-tiered gas as a scapegoat measure. Considering that this recall can cause issues with the fuel pump module and result in stalls, increasing the risk of injury and death, I would have hoped Honda would have come to a solution by now.
