- #11544405September 13, 2023VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Regrettably, the 2015 Ford Focus hatchback I purchased has been plagued by a series of critical issues. These include recurring starting problems, erratic gear behavior, such as hesitating to move in Drive and unexpectedly moving forward in Reverse, sudden and dangerous deceleration while on highways, and an incessantly illuminated tire pressure warning light. These issues have left me profoundly concerned about the overall safety and reliability of this car. Over the past four months of ownership, the last two have been marred by stress and anxiety. A harrowing incident almost transpired when the car inexplicably slowed down to a mere 15 miles per hour on a highway, placing me at great risk, with a truck narrowly avoiding a collision. What's particularly distressing is that these problems aren't unique to my vehicle alone. Numerous other owners of 2013, 2014, and 2015 Ford Focus models are grappling with similar issues, suggesting the existence of potential systemic flaws within these vehicles.

- #11543944September 11, 2023SEAT BELTS
The seatbelts in these cars do not retract. After it is buckled, it sits loose on the person wearing it. Is an accident, the seatbelt will provide no help, causing me, or one of my passangers to be hurt. 3 of the 4 belts in my car are basically useless. This is not only an issue in my car. I've noticed after working on several of these cars (ide assume from the years 2012-2018) they don't work. I have several friends and relatives with a model in between those years, and it can be duplicated in their cars too. This is a major issue, and needs to be addressed in all models of this vehicle

The car slips going from 1st to 2nd gear when at a complete stop. It is the automatic transmission, and acts as if the car will stall. I just purchased it from an individual, who had stated that is how it has been. I feel this is not normal, and after reading reviews, there has been may issues with this transmission. A lot of reviews have shown people getting the problem fixed, only to experience the same issue 20,000 miles later. It does feel dangerous as I'm completely stopped and start to move and the car wants to jerk, and slip into gear really slow. My model is the 2017 Ford Focus SE with the automatic 6 speed transmission. It is a regular occurrence, and I regret not doing a better job at reviewing this prior. I had a 2009 Ford Focus I had just sold with 219,000 miles on it without any motor or transmission issues. This car has 106,000 miles on it and way it sounds been doing this for a while. Just wondering what to expect, I don't have a check engine light on as of yet.

Having issues with the purge valve canister causing the vehicle to stall while driving on a highway late at night. Knowing that this is an issue with other vehicle made in the same year and knowing there is a recall for those parts but not on my vehicle is confusing to me.
