The battery in the car died which caused the TCM to fail requiring a new replacement. My car was built in May of 2016 which leaves it outside the recall date per this article which forced me to cover all the costs: Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10226944-0001.pdf Although my car is outside of this window, it failed due to the same DPS6 automatic transmission TCM listed in this recall and I would want to see my car's model year added to this recall.

TCM has now faulted twice on my Ford Fiesta. My Fiesta was built 7/9/2015. My TCM was replaced under standard power train warranty in 10/2019 at 47,000 miles. 02/2023 my TCM has faulted again at 68,500 miles and needs to be replaced. Ford extended its warranty on TCMs for their Fiesta models to 10 years 150,000 miles for fiestas built between 11/3/2009 and 6/30/2015. My car is out of the extended warranty build date parameters by 9 days, however now already needing 2 TCM replacements it is apparent my car does have defects and should be covered.

I only had 77k miles on my fiesta and always well maintained. The transmission system had an internal transmission failure and I was told it would cost $8600 to fix so I had to get a new car. 77k is very low for transmission issues. I called ford and they said only one part within the transmission was recalled so they couldn’t do anything about it. It’s very disheartening that 2011 was a year that didn’t have an extended transmission warranty but other years were. Since I couldn’t pay for the repair, I used it as an only $500 trade in for a new car instead of the Kelly blue book value. There were no problems before. I was driving to work and I heard a knocking sound so drove it to ford to be looked at.

It seems the clutch is bypassing when stopped at a stoplight or sign. You can pull out but you have to let the clutch pedal all the way up and then push it in again. If you set too long it will try to inch forward. The car only had 46,000 miles when it started. I have talked to other people and obviously Ford has a problem and doesn’t want to fix it.

My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I don't believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried resetting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find.
