Extremely loud pop/bang from the speakers out of the blue. Very startling as I thought I had hit something or had something catastrophically fail. Fortunately was on an empty street because the sound was so bad I slammed on the brakes.

After driving my vehicle, I parked the truck for about 20 min. Upon returning to the vehicle and leaving the parking spot, a loud crackle and pop sound came from the speaker system. Followed up a recurring static noise that was at the loudest volume I presume the audio system would get to. The static would not cease with turning the volume off, turning down the volume, etc. I tried to turn off the vehicle and leave the vehicle for 5 min but upon restarting the truck, the sound restarted immediately. I tried turning off and restarting 2 more times with no success. I had no choice but to drive 40 min to the closest dealership. The manager and a sales person heard and experienced the sound. They shut the vehicle off and on as I did. They shut off the vehicle for about 10 min while they went in search of a service tech. When the truck was restarted the sound stopped. The tech did a master reset just in case hoping for a error code but none appeared. This event was jarring and a day later, my hearing still is not normal and my ears hurt.

While driving, particularly when accelerating or climbing an incline, the transmission clunks, bangs, lurches and hesitates. It makes driving the vehicle unpredictable. This is distracting and unsafe as it means that the driver is not confident in consistent acceleration and control of the vehicle. Also, other drives may be at some risk because this new vehicle is not traveling along the roadway as would normally expected.

Ford dealership, Soul Lake Ford, in Sour Lake Texas states that they will not order or make entry to fix a recall notice from Ford due to no parts available. So they stated wiper motor fails while in service they will repair as priority need. I stated the recall states failure can cause potential crash risk. They refused to put me on a repair call list. I call customer complaints at Ford and they didn’t resolve. So no to take care of recall.

There were no reported maintenance problems with the Ford F150 before the fire occurred. On the day of the fire, the vehicle was being driven by an ADOT employee who was east bound on Interstate 8 near mile post 39 when she began to smell smoke. The employee pulled over to the side of the road and observed smoke emanating from the side of the hood. The employee report that she observed little plastic balls of fire dropping down to the ground. The vehicle continued to burn unabated in this rural area for many hours before most combustibles were consumed and the fire self-extinguished itself. The remains of the vehicle and fire damaged contents were then scooped up by ADOT maintenance personnel and taken to the Yuma maintenance yard where it was later inspected.

Lower coolant hose is rubbing on a wire loom which caused wear on the coolant hose causing a leak. We experienced loss of coolant and temperature fluctuating, no overheating because employee reported fluctuating. Vehicle was taken to Sames Ford Motor Company and warranty was honored.

My latest transmission problem is most noticeable in Tow/Haul mode. It is also the most concerning and dangerous. At higher speeds, such as on the interstate, when braking for some reason, such as traffic congestion, the transmission downshifts and the r.p.m. slows as it should. However around 2nd or 3rd gear and 1,900 r.p.m. the engine speed abruptly increases to around 3,500 r.p.m. and then begins to decrease again. This has happened with or without a utility trailer attached. Luckily I have not had my 24 foot car hauler and 5,000 pound limousine behind me on the way to a car show. With or without a trailer, God only knows what would happen if I relied on adaptive cruise control. I don't use it.

Panoramic sunroof panel exploded while driving the vehicle. The sunroof was closed with shade extended. Less than 2 months new. No debris/ collision or object came in contact with the vehicle. No other vehicles were within either side of the road. The glass panel shattered completely with a very loud explosion noise , raining glass into the truck and onto myself(driver). There were no warning or reason or symptoms prior to the event. I drove the truck to the Ford dealership for a warranty repair after the explosion they ‘inspected’ and reported Ford would not cover this because the glass shattered. Dealer and manufacture are avoiding responsibility for my safety. Truck is at dealer.

Heard a loud clanging noise coming from the right rear tire area of the truck. I removed the center cap on my tire and noticed the axel bolt was sheared off. I drove to the dealership, they looked it over and kept the truck to repair it. They have to order the parts and not sure when it will be fixed. They did mention that they had seen another F150 with the same problem.
