Since 28 June 2026, there has been an issue with braking system. I called the local Ford dealer twice and was told there has been no reported brake issues with 2024 Ford F-150. The first time this happened, I was driving on a county (dirt road) and I applied the brakes, and the brakes did not work. Thankfully, there was no traffic and I coasted to a stop. The same problem with the brakes has happened four more times.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. While the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The Mobile App indicated a failure related to the power train and to reduce power. The contact's son drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road and turned off the vehicle. While the contact's son was attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle started. The vehicle was driven to the intended destination, which was approximately 30 minutes away. The following day, the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The contact stated that several days later, the 4WD Low warning light illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and a diagnostic test was scheduled for the following week. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was included in Customer Satisfaction Program: 23S65/NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train). In addition, the contact had not received notification of the Customer Satisfaction Program or recall. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

My 2023 Ford F-150 XLT (base 4×4—2H, 4H, 4L only) is experiencing a front-axle/IWE malfunction that causes the hubs to partially engage on their own in cold weather. When temperatures drop below freezing, the truck produces a very loud, physical pop when turning in 2H and a mechanical grinding/rumble noise from the front axle while driving straight. This happens even though the roads are dry and I have not engaged 4WD. The noise immediately disappears when I switch into 4H, which indicates the integrated wheel ends (IWEs) are partially engaging due to vacuum loss or actuator failure. When the hubs fully lock in 4H, the grinding stops. This confirms the IWEs are not disengaging properly in 2H. This occurs only in freezing temperatures, to date, and it feels as if the front axle is binding or locking during turns. The loud popping feels violent enough that it could lead to CV axle, differential, or IWE gear failure. My Ford dealer stated they have “not heard of this issue,” but this condition matches the symptoms described in Ford TSB 25-2513 for incomplete IWE disengagement on 2021–2025 F-150 trucks. Despite Ford saying this is not a known problem, there is significant owner evidence online showing that many 2021–2024 F-150 owners experience the exact same symptoms. Multiple threads on F150Forum, F150Gen14.com, and Reddit describe identical cold-weather popping and grinding caused by IWEs partially engaging in 2H. In many of those cases, owners report that dealers dismissed the issue or stated it was “normal,” even though the symptoms are widespread and consistent. This is a safety concern because the front axle partially engages without driver input, causing binding, loss of smooth steering, loud mechanical pops, and grinding while in 2WD. This could lead to sudden front drivetrain failure, loss of control, or damage to steering/braking components. I am submitting this complaint so NHTSA is aware that this issue is occurring F-150s and may not be isolated.

Ford has refused, on multiple occasions and at multiple dealerships, to address the NHTSA Recall Number 23V896 (MFG. Recall Number 23S65) issue with the Wheel End Hub Bolt in the rear axle. Well, this weekend, the bolt on the passenger side rear axle broke off, rendering the vehicle undriveable. I brought it in to the Lithia Ford Dealership (who's online information said they were open) to get it addressed. They were closed, no one was there, and they won't even give me a loaner vehicle while the F-150 is inoperable. This recall has been out for two years now and they still won't deal with it. Absolute neglect of their obligations and an unsafe practice!

My truck thinks my parking brake is engaged so it constantly flashes the “brake” light, constantly chimes while driving and says parking break malfunction, talk to dealer. I brought it to Webber family Ford in Detroit lakes MN 56501 and they checked it over including the safety recall location for recall 23S35. They said it was not the recall location and I would have to bring it in Monday for another appointment. When I got it home that day I crawled under to check that location. I see visible green which usually means corrosion and the protection around the harness seems warm. I also noticed the "recall" was not completed how it is shown on fords recall paperwork using the zip tie as a wear location so it isn't the harness itself. That is not how mine is. I have photos to prove that. I spoke with corporate ford today and they said they can't re open the recall because it has been closed and it is past its 12 month warranty being it was done in October of 2023 before my ownership and at a different dealer. I don't believe it is fair to me the current owner to pay for the cost of a rerepair of a recall that was done incorrectly.

The rear windshield spontaneously exploded while the vehicle was stationary. I confirmed this was not caused by any impact or debris. There have been several other reports on various websites of this issue, across multiple models including the F150 and Bronco, and potentially being caused by faulty wiring of the rear defroster. Ford has not issued a recall and will not accept responsibility for this defect.

The truck has recently and randomly been making a very loud static/poping sound that actually sometimes hurts my ears. After this static continuously plays even when I reset the sync system, cycle the ignition or turn the volume to zero, it still continues. This is followed by a strong electrical burning smell. After 10 minutes this stops and the passenger side speakers are the only ones that work. The initial very loud pop/crackle is dangerous and has made me jump where it started me mid lane change as if something had collided with the truck. This lapse in concentration due to a natural startling reaction could cause an accident.

The rear glass panel of the panoramic sunroof on my 2024 Ford F-150 (approximately 8,800 miles) suddenly and spontaneously shattered while I was driving. There was a single upward-pointing fracture near the front-center of the panel, and the rest of the glass fragmented outward from that point. There was no impact, no debris, no nearby vehicles, and no physical evidence of anything striking the roof or surrounding areas. No objects were found inside the vehicle. The sunroof is available for inspection upon request. This failure created an immediate safety risk. The shattered panel was directly above my two children seated in the rear, and falling glass fragments posed a significant danger of injury. A sudden overhead glass failure also presents a hazard to other drivers if fragments are expelled from the vehicle. There were no signs or symptoms before the breakage. The Ford dealership inspected the vehicle but did not identify any impact damage and did not confirm a cause. The failure has not been reproduced, but I found multiple similar reports from other Ford owners, suggesting this may be consistent with spontaneous internal stress failure of the tempered glass. Given the complete lack of impact evidence and the serious safety risk to occupants and other motorists, I am reporting this as a panoramic sunroof safety defect.

My vehicle has continued to have major issues with the radio/audio system. The radio will experience an extremely loud distorted sound when I start the vehicle. It is extremely unsafe since the vehicle can't be operated while this is going on. During the worst situation, I've had to disconnect the battery in order to make the sound stop. I had the first issue happen less than 3 weeks after purchasing the truck in 2022. I had to take it to 3 different dealers in my local area, with NO REPAIR action, before I returned it to the original dealer. The Metter Ford dealer put me in a loaner vehicle while the technical engineer researched the problem. During that first problem, the software was reprogrammed and the APIM module was replaced. However, the problem has continued to this day. The last time it occurred was today, on 12/3/2025. I believe Ford released a recent software update for the BlueCruise 1.4 that possibly addressed a radio problem, but it has NOT FIXED my issue.

The quad LED headlamps keep going out on the truck. It is the vertical side of the light that goes out. I have seen many other F150 with the same issue.

Dashboard is occasionally black when the truck is started. The gauges don't work, and an alarm starts ringing. After a short while the gauges start to appear on the screen one at a time. this has happened several times in the few months that I've owned this truck. I see that a recall has been issued for the 2025 and 2026 Model F150's but it is also happening in my 2024 F150 that I bought new in February 2025.

Daytime running lamp failure and fog light failure. Daytime running lamp failure causes poor visibility and the failure defect defeats its entire purpose for use. Fog light failure creates poor visibility during fog conditions and could result in not being visible to other drivers.
