The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle hesitated, and several warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that after the vehicle was parked and shut off the vehicle became inoperable and failed to restart. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, and the dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the remedy was available, and the contact was referred to the dealer for further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer for an oil change and tire rotation. The service technician became aware that the rear passenger wheel end hub bolt had fractured. The contact was given the piece of the broken bolt and advised not to drive the vehicle on long trips. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); which stated that the remedy was available to complete the recall repair. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that the recall part was not available for the recall repair. The contact called the manufacturer, but the agent was unable to offer any information on parts availability. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The driver side headlamp did not work. I noticed both left and right headlamps had moisture inside. I took my truck to the dealership and they told me I would have to get an appointment for them to take digital images of the headlamps to send to Ford Motor. So they sent me home with only one headlamp in working order. I made the appointment. It took 2hrs to get the digital images. A crack appeared at the bottom of each headlamp at the exact same spot. I left the dealership the second time with only one headlamp working. 24 hours later, Ford Motor told the dealership they believed it was caused by an outside collision and would not be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. The dealership offered to replace at cost and suggested I contact the State Attorney General’s office and try to mediate Ford’s decision. I made an appointment to replace both headlamps after the weekend at their earliest opening. I have kept the faulty headlamps. I believe Ford Motor is trying to mitigate cost of a faulty product at the expense of public safety. The States Attorney General attempted to mediate. However, a Consumer Affairs Legal Analyst from Ford wrote that the warranty was denied because the headlamp was damaged in a car accident. It was not.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The headlights on this truck are fogging up every time it rains. Ford says it’s “normal”. Fogging of headlights seems like a no brainer safety issue. These are LED headlights so the lights don’t get warm/don’t reduce fogging with heat. Fords technical service bulletin says this is acceptable fogging. I know of no other vehicle that has fogging headlights. This is a known issue for 2024/2025 Ford F150.

I was trying to park the vehicle and it unexpectedly started to accelerate. I had to slam on the brakes. This is not the first time this has occurred. It’s happened many times. I took it to the Ford dealership and they said they cannot find any problems so then I did some research on the Internet and found there’s other people saying the same thing so there’s clearly a problem with this vehicle. Unexpected acceleration.

When temperatures hit the teens and below, the driver door will not unlock. I’ve tried numerous times to unlock the door via the manual key and inside latch without success. This traps the driver and prevents a speedy egress if necessary. The inner latch tends to thaw after 40+ minutes of full blast heat within cab but no other solution exists. Passenger and rear doors unaffected.

Vehicle will inadvertantly accelerate or set cruise control to high speeds when on residential and low speed roads. Several times when either coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop vehicle has entered cruise control at 55-57 mph. Had to brake to stop vehicle acceleration.

Ford has known about this potentially dangerous recall for 4 months and parts to repair still not available. Our car has been looked at and determined that repair needs to be done. I just talked to Ford and there is no ETA for the parts to repair and many vehicles on the road that need repair. There is something wrong.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I was turning right, out of a store parking lot onto the street, at very low speed. Suddenly the truck accelerated on its own. I had to quickly hit the brake to prevent striking a vehicle in front of me that had stopped for a red traffic signal. I believe there is a possibility that Ford's new method of activating cruise control (which now only requires a single button press after which the truck will set current speed OR 15 MPH, whichever is greater) could be to blame. If a driver turning the steering wheel makes contact with a single button on the steering wheel with his/her hand or palm by accident, this seems to cause the unexpected acceleration. It is a quite dangerous situation that in my opinion Ford should correct by requiring TWO steps to activate cruise control as opposed to one.

ENGINE
A few weeks ago, while driving the vehicle, it displayed an engine misfire warning had extreme vibrations, and then the vehicle broke down, left me sitting on the side of the road. After getting the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership, we found the intake valve broke off on the motor and causes catastrophic complete engine failure. This is an active recall in 21 and 2022 F1 50s with the 2.7 eco-boost. Per Ford my Vin is not attached to that recall and they said I had to call or get a hold of the national highway safety administration and get my Vin attached that recall for engine replacement. My vehicle is a 2022 with 100,000 miles on it and now it’s broke down because the engine had catastrophic engine failure due to a problem. Ford knows about this issue and won’t fix it until I get the vehicles then attached to the recall . The current recall number is 24S55 Thank you

The driver's side Daylight Running Light (DRL) is out and there is not a bulb to repair this, it's a $2000+ repair per the dealership and it's 4 years old with 80,000 miles on it. This needs to be a recall. These lights should last way more than 4 years.
