SummarySome 2020-2023 Escape and 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with the 1.5L engine may exhibit a lugging vibration and/or boom noise while driving in gears 5-8 at approximately 1500 engine revolutions per minute (RPM). This may be felt more when the engine is under a light to moderate load. A vibration and/or boom noise could be generated from the firing frequency of the 3 cylinders or when cylinder deactivation occurs and the engine is running on 2 cylinders. This condition is more noticeable when the vehicle is driven in ECO mode. This mode was designed to deliver maximum fuel efficiency and increase the driving range.

SummaryAll 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles have a headlamp low beam pattern with a dark band above the vertical reference line. It is by design that there is no light directed in this area to satisfy regulatory requirements and also to minimize glare to oncoming traffic. Secondly, in the low beam pattern there is some light directed upward to satisfy regulatory requirements and also to assist with overhead sign visibility. This a characteristic of the vehicle. Do not attempt any repairs for this condition.

SummaryFor 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

This may be due to an intermittent or partial disconnect of the harness, connector pin push-outs or loose/corroded grounds to the fuel pump control module (FPCM) connector, PCM connector and/or battery junction box connector. Inspect the following connectors for 1.5L and 2.0L engines: C1551B, C1035A, C110, C401, C4033, C4330. Verify the connections are fully seated, without damage and/or pushed out pins/terminals prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics or replacing any components. Inspect G404 and verify it's clean and secure. If any connector damage is found, repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 005.
