FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Driving vehicle from work to home when the vehicle started to stutter and immediately shut down with no power or any capability to turn the vehicle off of the road. This shutdown immediately caused blockage of a major road; since the vehicle could not be moved due to no power to steering wheel nor ability to place the vehicle into neutral. Determination was that the fuel module went bad. No warning of failure of component was indicated by check engine light until after the incident happened. Luckily this shut down of all components of the vehicle did not occur on a high speed road since I did not have any control of the vehicle after the fuel module failed.

Leaking water every time it rains from the overhead console and will have standing water in charging station. Vehicle been to dealer 3 times and currently dealership had windshield removed and body re-welded where there was hole from the factory weld where water is entering the vehicle.

Exhaust leaks in to the cab. This has happened on several Chevrolet Tahoe Police Package Vehicle models that we have. Here are the Vin #'s [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Several other Sheriff's Offices have had the same issues with their Tahoe PPV's- Big Stone County, Dodge County, Itasca County, and Rice County have all experienced the same issues with their Tahoe’s INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal however, the vehicle continued to lose motive power and failed to respond to the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact was able to pull off the highway and the vehicle was turned off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle and after several attempts, the vehicle was towed to a dealer. The local dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, he heard an abnormal sound coming from the front tires. The contact stated that the abnormal tire sound was constant and was occurring at various speeds. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was occasionally failed to start. The contact stated that there was no starter motor sound or even the sound of clicking when the ignition key was turned. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,844.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving approximately 10 MPH, the front passenger’s side tire detached. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the ball joints had fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted, and the driver's side ball joints also fractured. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the driver's side ball joints fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Vehicle was driven into parking lot and was idling. Without warning, it began misfiring and stalled. Vehicle would not restart and was towed to the nearest dealer. The diagnosis was a fuel pump driver module that had internally shorted. Thankfully, it failed in the parking lot. We had recently arrived at this location for the winter having driven the vehicle approximately 1500 miles over 4 days. We were lucky the failure did not occur on the highway as the unexpected stalling would potentially be a significant safety concern. Please note that this vehicle is a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The 2021 Tahoe was under a recall for this same issue (see recall N212332040). The dealer said that this is a common problem with these vehicles. Perhaps the recall needs to be expanded.

TRAILER HITCHES
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe used to haul a 2023 Wanco WLTV FD-304 Rev A Lighting Structure. The contact stated the Wanco Lighting Structure had a narrow wheelbase and that the lighting mast failed to fold down, and that all the weight remained at a high level. In addition, the diesel engine was behind the axle instead of on top or behind the axle instead of on top or in front causing the trailer to pull off the hitch. The contact stated that the hitch coupler was bent outward and disconnected from the ball. As a result, the contact stated that the failure caused the trailer to tip over while turning. The San Diego Police Department's Fleet Safety Division diagnosed that the weight hitched on the Wanco Lighting Structure did not support the specification limitation. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that upon start of the vehicle, an abnormal ticking sound was coming from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the contact discovered that the oil pressure was low. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the uptake tube O-ring needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 134,000.

When I started car I got service messages for side detection system, tire monitor system, safety restraint system, front camera system, trailer break system and theft deterrent system. Each one gave option to dismiss. When I would dismiss the messages would come back. When I was driving, all the things on dash, mph, oil, battery etc all stayed on zero. Super dangerous and I could have died!!!!!!. No blinker sound
