ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
Audible warnings for turn signals, Blind Spot monitoring and lane monitoring periodically quits along with all sound from radio and Bluetooth system. Haptic feedback on lane change seems to not function at this time as well. Warning lights function. This has occurred 7 times since Oct 22 2024 when the vehicle was purchased. MFG has been unable to repair.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving 35-40 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle failed to restart. The contact waited with the hazard lights flashing. The contact stated that after approximately 6 attempts the vehicle restarted. After driving a short distance, the vehicle stalled again. The contact was able to coast to a nearby gas station. The contact made several more attempts to start the vehicle after waiting for a while, to restart the vehicle. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump power control module (Part # 13544060) had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer was unable to repair the vehicle due to the part not being available. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 21V064000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recalls. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 60,452.

POWER TRAIN
Driving on the interstate when all the sudden there was no power to drive train, the rpm gauge red lined. I put gear shift to neutral and rpm gauge came down, at this time no check engine light. Coasted to exit and parked. Got out and look around Tahoe for damage none found, looked under hood and no damage or fluid anywhere, none found. Got back in Tahoe and shifted into drive. I drove on 2-line highway to nearby town; 25 mph is all it would go. There was not a chevy dealer in town, stop at a Ford dealership and they sent me to an independent shop. Check engine light came on as I drove to independent dealer. Independent dealer checked for codes found transmission he checked fluid level it was full, but fluid smelled burnt and had metal shavings. He pulled it into shop and dropped fluid pan, to visually verify transmission parts were bad. He had to install a new gm transmission.

There is a trailer brake warning that comes up ALOT! Even more when it is raining or cold out . It beeps continuously, can’t see the speed I am going because it’s always flashing trailer brake warning. When I dismiss the message it pops on again and again. I have read up on this VERY COMMON ISSUE , alot of people are having with the trailer brake system warning. It makes the radio system even go crazy . And me Crazy! Constantly hearing the beeping over and over .

I confirmed the vehicle has a recall. Called the Dealer and they informed me that the dash may crack while performing the recall but is not included in the recall. Any cracks in the dash would be customer pay. This doesn't seem right.

ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On [XXX] I was driving in the [XXX] in El Paso Texas at about [XXX] I was about to enter [XXX} and the vehicle suddenly stopped with no warning! I was able to pull to the side and put the blinkers because the traffic was heavy and could of had a vehicle crash into me if I had not maneuver the vehicle quickly(My two daughters where with me in the vehicle). The vehicle prompted to start the vehicle, which I did so and continued my way. As soon as I was able to get into the [XXX] the check engine light turned on, and the forward collision warning message on the display. I stopped to my nearest Autozone to get some help as the vehicle started to make a noise too. They connected their computer and told me that the vehicle was given a message of a faulty cylinder, they told me I should not move the vehicle until I had it inspected on a GM dealership. Which I did on Friday December 20, 2024, I am waiting for a full diagnostic to see what had happened to my vehicle. POWER TRAIN
My transmission is slipping and causing safety concerns while driving on the highway. It’s a 2017 Chevy Tahoe that has less than 100,000 miles and we have been reading on the internet about many others having the same problem. We just took it to a shop and they informed us that it’s a common issue with this model chevy and it will cost $5,000 to replace the transmission.

First: wiper motor stopped working, so it would not spray washer fluid to clean front or rear windows. Multiple people have had the same issue, only way to fix was replace Second: rear heat stopped working, dealership said we were the 5th tahoe in the last 2 weeks with the same issue. The "lines needed blown out" was what they said the fix was.

After start up, there is no audio coming from the vehicle. No audio from entertainment system, no audio from turn signal and no audio from fasten seat belt "chime". Restarting vehicle does not change the outcomes, initially. Exiting the vehicle and restarting about 10 minutes later, all audio returns, including entertainment sytem, audible turn signal indicator and fasten seat belt chime (if seat belt is not engaged). This has occured on several occasions since about 11/1/2024.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
vehicle infotainment system will randomly "restart" or shut off completely when vehicle is being drove, but will still be playing music also all time and temperature (outside temp) will freeze when this happens. it also make the battery drain when this happens. the only way to get the screen to come back on weve tried is to disconnect battery. weve replaced the battery, weve had a chevy dealership look into it. no one can figure out what is happening. Now it is happening more and more. we also do not receive updates anymore to the infotainment system. the dealership had to manually do it a year ago. also will not keep our proifile signed in at all. always says were stuck in guest mode. says we have full storage when there is not any apps downloaded.

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving from a complete stop and while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal whining sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the transmission was replaced. The contact stated that after retrieving the vehicle from the dealer while driving 10-15 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but was significantly firm and failed to respond. The contact drove into a curb and struck a parking sign pole. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that the failure exacerbated pre-existing injuries. The dealer was contacted and advised the contact to restart the vehicle and depress the brake pedal to verify whether the brake pedal was operable. The contact followed the dealer's instructions, and the brake pedal responded as needed; however, the vehicle was towed to the residence because the contact was concerned about driving the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the vacuum pump; however, the failure recurred while driving. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the lifters had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Midway Chevrolet Plainwell Auto Dealer (381 12th St, Plainwell, MI 49080), where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump wires, the transfer case oil and seal, the engine oil coolant hose, the valve cover gasket, and other unknown parts needed to be replaced. Additionally, the dealer determined that the ball joints needed to be replaced, and an alignment needed to be performed. The dealer also determined that the air ride compressor was noisy. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a third dealer, Heritage Chevrolet, Inc. (350 W Dickman Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037), where it was diagnosed with an oil leak.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed to slow for a traffic light and the vehicle jerked while shifting into low gear. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal when the traffic light had changed, the vehicle hesitated before responding and was jerking and shuddering while changing gear and accelerating. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure became a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and had referred the contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

When driving the dash panel all arrows go to zero, disconnects cruise and just about everything else on your list above. We have had it to the dealer many times over three months and I am concerned that when the system drops out my safety devices that it says check will not work if I’m in a collision.The list is to long to list. Our local Chevrolet dealer is George Nahas in the Villages Florida. Please help

SERVICE BRAKES, POWER TRAIN
I bought my Tahoe from Dan Vaden Chevrolet in Savannah, GA with approx 58k miles. At around 88k miles I noticed the transmission hesitated when putting into reverse or drive from the park position. I had my transmission fluid changed at 70k and 100k miles. Now, at 112k miles, it has significantly gotten worse with shuddering between gears 1-3 and jerking when in reverse. Major hesitation when accelerating at any speed and high pitched whining noises that randomly happen, even after putting it in park and turning it off. Also, my ABS and Stabilitrak lights will illuminate and then go off every few days. As well as another random icon that randomly comes and goes. This Tahoe is now unsafe to drive but it’s the only transportation I have. I already missed a radiator replacement recall by 1,500 miles and had to pay for that out of pocket. Now Chevrolet isn’t recalling this transmission when it has over 190 complaints on this website alone, and thousands of others on other online forums. What will it take for the manufacturer to do the right thing? Will someone have to die in order for this to become an issue they stop ignoring? We have all spent money we worked hard to earn and deserve a vehicle that’s safe for our families.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, a second vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle. The contact indicated that during the crash no air bags were deployed and the front driver and front passenger seat belts did not retract. After the incident, the front driver's side and front passenger side seat belts remained inoperable and the air bag warning light remained illuminated. No injuries were reported and a police report was filed at the scene. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted regarding the failures. The contact was concerned that due to the illuminated air bag warning light, the air bag may erroneously deploy while operating the vehicle. The failure mileage was 212,000.
