Symptoms

Owners of certain 2021-2022 Toyota Avalon, Camry, and RAV4 vehicles equipped with an A25A-FKS engine may experience the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminating on the dashboard. This can be accompanied by a noticeable reduction in engine power. These symptoms are particularly likely to occur in freezing temperatures. Diagnosis / Trigger Conditions

The primary trigger for these symptoms and DTCs is operation in freezing temperatures. The Engine Control Module (ECM) logic and the fuel pump assembly have been modified to address these conditions. Diagnosis involves confirming the presence of these DTCs and the associated symptoms in cold weather. If these conditions are met, the bulletin applies.

Repair Procedure Summary
