I bought a 2023 Nissan Rogue from a dealership. 3 hours after leaving the dealership, I was driving down the highway @ 65MPH & the vehicle started a knocking sound, and before I could pull over to the side of the road, the dash lights started illuminating, and the vehicle stalled, the exhaust was smoking and so was the motor. We had to tow the vehicle to the dealership, and now I am concerned to drive it after it gets fixed. If I wouldn’t have acted extremely fast, this could have hurt me or someone else. I am reading the concerns from others and that this is an ongoing issue, and I wish I could re-do the car sale because I traded my vehicle in solely because I needed a reliable vehicle…. This is by far reliable. Please help me and all these other people..

My engine light came on and I almost immediately lost power. This car is only 3 years old with about 87k miles. I was on the highway going over 70mph when this happened. The dealer says the coolant system failed which allowed coolant to get into the engine. Either way...engine failure, which Nissan has not currently honoring their extended warranty offered on this model for the repair. There were no indicator lights, temp warnings, radiator overheating/low antifreeze, nothing. Not until the engine light came on and I immediately had to pull over. Usually I would get an email from Nissan if their systems picked up an issue, but I received nothing until my car was being towed.

Nothing has happened yet but they are not remedying this recall until late December. I have children and that is a huge safety risk and completely unacceptable.

There’s an open recall for my year and engine but have not received a recall letter and zero recalls show open. My car as a grinding noise when accelerating slowly and the engine power is very low when accelerating fast and almost red lines at 30 miles per hour but eventually catches up and goes to normal. Also while driving it feels the car is sucking fumes at times with a full tank of fuel.

I parked my car at 740 am 9/10 and went to work. I am a nurse and I work for an outpatient clinic. I parked in a deck that is also monitored by security. When I got out of work at420 pm my rear window was completely shattered. The entire circumference of the window. I noticed it because I got in the car and close the door and heard something fall and nothing is in my car so I turn around and look and the window was shattered. What I heard falling was little pieces of glass falling inside my car into my trunk. I saw that other Nissan Rogue owners had the same encounter where there back window just exploded. I had to report this because I am now 2 weeks without my car waiting for Nissan to tell my dealership to fix my car because I am still under warranty.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 80 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact exited the freeway and pulled over into a parking lot. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine was overfilled with oil, causing an inaccurate camshaft sensor reading. The dealer removed, cleaned, and reinstalled the sensor. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed with rear-end failure, and the warning lights were reset; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the warning lights were reset, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), which the contact related to the failures; however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to Rairdon's Nissan of Auburn (713 35th St NE, Auburn, WA 98002) to be diagnosed, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer advised the contact to trade the vehicle, but the contact declined. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. I purchased my 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition 5 months ago. The car was sitting in my driveway and the back glass shattered. I was home, no one was around. Warranty doesn't cover glass, so I had to pay out of pocket up to my $500 deductible with insurance. There were no cracks prior to this happening.

Originally I took my vehicle into Nissan of Gadsden due to issues with the EGR System Failure in April 2025. The egr system was already replaced once a year before, but due to past recalls they replaced the system without appropriate diagnosis/scanning dtc codes. They had the car for 2 weeks and after picking the vehicle up the motor shattered itself while traveling at interstate speeds almost causing accident due to rapid declaration. The motor was diagnosed as no reparable and gave no solutions. After 4 months of calling and making complaints, it was determined that the vehicle fell under the Recall 25V-437 / R25A8. It took them a month to get approved and install the new motor and turbo at Hallmark Nissan of Birmingham. I was called to pick the vehicle up 09/22/2025 after repair. Upon returning home, vehicle would not exceed 60mph from its own power, engine light and engine malfunction light came on, and vehicle would slow to unsafe speeds on the interstate when trying to overcome hills. I called the service department and notified them of this and they told me to drive the vehicle over 50 miles back to the dealership at speeds not safe for highway travel. They diagnosed that the turbo that they just installed went out again. I also received a letter that Hallmark Nissan would pay off the car note the day I picked up the vehicle. Upon retuning to the dealer and asking to accept the offer, they refused and stated it was just a marketing tactic. All of this has been documented by Audio and Video Recording.

The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with various bearings, resulting in damage to the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The VIN was included, but parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 72,000.
