My 2022 Nissan Rogue has an active recall for engine bearings with no available remedy. Nissan refuses to offer a buyback or loaner vehicle. I believe this poses a safety and financial hardship.

Since October of 2024, I've been having recurring leaks coming through the front right passenger's side at the top corner of the windshield, where the seam in the fabric meets. I have had multiple appointments at Nissan dealerships, where I've been told "your drains are clogged," "it's how it was manufactured," "we'll add some sealant," etc. and the problem has progressively gotten worse and worse, spreading to other areas of my roof, staining my interior, and causing mold and mildew issues. I wonder if it's not a sunroof problem, but a roof rack problem. There was a recall on a batch of 2021 Nissan Rogues in 2021 for this issue, but my car's manufacturing date unfortunately did not fall under that recall. Nissan will not check to see if that's the issue since my car is not technically under recall. I've found a huge community of people online who have had the same problems with their Nissan Rogues, and have unfortunately either had to sell their cars back to the dealership, or are living with mold and mildew in their cars because it's a problem that Nissan has not been willing to fix. I'm asking that this problem is looked into further on behalf of myself and other 2021 Nissan Rogue owners whose particular manufacturing dates did not fall under the recall for the leaking roof racks (attached) and are continuing to have water leak into their cars. My whole sunroof, besides the glass, was replaced in June of 2025, and the problem worsened (photos attached). My car is now back in the shop at a different dealership, with the hopes that they can help me.

Yes, indirectly. Nissan issued official Safety Recall R25A8 for this exact defect. 5. Warning Signs? Yes. Check Engine light, unusual engine noises, rough performance, and warning messages appeared before the repair attempt.

The vehicle intermittently loses power and displayed “Engine Malfunction/ Service Now” warnings beginning several months ago. Diagnostic code U0652 (Lost Communication with EGR System) was recorded. This failure was later confirmed by a Nissan dealer, who identified a faulty EGR valve and differential-pressure sensor, with low coolant and internal coolant loss (no external leaks). During review with Nissan’s regional case manager, engine contamination was noted as a factor, yet this information was never disclosed to me by the dealership. The EGR valve, cooler, and sensors share coolant and exhaust pathways with the engine, meaning contamination within those circuits can block sensors and cause drivability loss or limp-mode events — exactly what occurred. Despite these findings, Nissan classified the issue as “unrelated” to Recall R25A8, which involves internal bearing debris and coolant contamination capable of circulating through those same systems. Nissan offered to cover only 50% of repair costs and refused to provide their decision in writing. Nissan’s recall inspection procedure requires removal of the oil pan and inspection for debris, which was never performed. I was provided an oil sample after diagnosis - proof that the pan was not dropped. This raises concerns that Nissan failed to follow the prescribed recall diagnostic process. Additionally, I have been forced to personally pay hundreds of dollars for a rental vehicle because Nissan stated rental reimbursement would not be provided until the repair is completed, despite the vehicle being undrivable due to the recall-related defect. I do not feel comfortable proceeding with the repair or continuing to drive the vehicle in its current condition, as the underlying recall issue has not been properly addressed or resolved. This defect poses a serious safety risk due to potential engine failure, sudden power loss, and internal coolant contamination that could lead to further mechanical damage or fire.

I was backing out of a parking garage and I had the steering wheel turned while I was reversing so I could exit the lot. I heard a pop and put the car in drive to move forward and the car would not move. Once I put the car in park and exited the vehicle I could see that the left tire was no longer attached to the steering column and that the tire rod had snapped dislodging the front left tire from the system.

Two weeks ago my 2023 Nissan broke down on the highway and with reduced power mode we were able to bring it to the closest Nissan dealer. When we got there it was closed but we left the car and asked for a Recall inspection due to the note that displayed on the dashboard matching what we had received in recall. We were informed Monday that it has nothing to do this the recall... we went back and forth with our Nissan dealer and called Nissan corporate and they refused to do the recall assessment which would be looking for metal shaving in the oil pan. They claimed this was because there was not sufficient enough evidence, even though there has been rattling, when I got an oil change he said it was very messy, our thermometer is broken and now I broke down on the highway. They still claimed there was not enough to warrant the assesment. They determined it was the IVT sensor which was a $1,432 fix. We went back and forth with Nissan corporate again to get the recall assessment done so that we could know if this was affecting why we needed a new part that shouldnt need to be replaced so early.... but we were denied again. We paid the money, but are still having issues with our car and Nissan dealer and corporate outright refused to evaluate our car for safety recall Engine issues affected by recall. I continue to get a check engine light on my car that reads code P0101. The very first time it happened I took it to a mechanic they read the diagnostic code and advised I would need to replace the Mass Airflow sensor. I purchase the part from a Nissan dealership and it was replaced by a mechanic approximately January 2025. The light would continue to come on sporadically. I took it back and was told that engine air filter was dirty. It was replaced the code was cleared and driving fine. 10 months later the same light and code are appearing on my car. It’s been taken to a mechanic whom after checking wiring and other components again believes it’s the mass air flow sensor. This part is not cheap but continues to cause a problem even when replaced with genuine parts.

My vehicle makes a rattling sound, especially when accelerating, and it seems to be coming from the engine compartment or front drive train. The recall (25V-437) has something to do with engine bearings. I'm afraid that the engine might shutdown, which is a possible risk cited by Nissan. The pending remedy is 4 months in the making, but still nothing as of this writing. What gives??

I noticed that my car was often unlocked after I knew for a fact that I locked it. I also had a problem with the right passenger door not unlocking even when the unlock button was pushed. I would often have to physically unlock that door on its own. After this happened for about a month, the car now opens even if I have locked it, with some of the doors causing the alarm to sound, even the door easily opened. I am concerned about safety especially when going out late at night or leaving my car parked in public lots. The problem was confirmed by the dealer when I went in for service. They inspected it and told me the door lock actuators on the back doors are bad. After looking this up, I see that there is a class action suit pending for this issue. There were no warnings prior to this happening.

I’ve been taking my 2023 AWD Rogue in for warning light and sensors issues and noises from the engine , the dealership that does the repairs informs me there is a recall back in July of 2025 but there is no remedy so there is nothing that can be done and that there is no problem with my vehicle . I shouldn’t worry they will call me.
