The affected AVN unit on the vehicles may not respond when pressing the 'RADIO' hard key/button on the AVN unit or when selecting the 'RADIO' icon on the AVN menu screen. Follow the procedure outlined in this publication to update the software on 5th Generation AVN wide units using the applicable USB Flash Drive A or B for the applicable vehicle.

Kia is conducting this Voluntary Service Campaign to improve the VCU software logic so that the vehicleâÂÂs brake lights illuminate during i-Pedal mode when the vehicle reaches a certain deceleration threshold even if you do not release the accelerator pedal fully or depress the brake pedal. Also, this software upgrade will improve the electronic shift logic so that the vehicle will shift into PARK (P) automatically when the auxiliary battery's (12v) voltage is critically low and the vehicle is stationary.

SummaryVOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN: ICCU SOFTWARE UPGRADE OR ICCU ASSEMBLY AND FUSE REPLACEMENT (SC271) - This bulletin provides information to inspect the Integrated Charging Control Unit ("ICCU") in certain 2022-2023MY EV6 (CV) vehicles manufactured from November 17, 2021 through May 30, 2023. Depending on the results of the inspection, dealers are to either install an improved ICCU software logic or replace the ICCU and ICCU Fuse. The ICCU in the subject vehicle may get damaged due to an over-current condition in the high-voltage system. This condition may cause the illumination of the "Service Warning Light," "Check electric vehicle system", and/or "Stop vehicle and check power supply" warning messages, along with audible beeps, instructing the driver to stop the vehicle at a safe location.

This bulletin provides information to update the software logic of the Battery Management System (BMS) on some 2022-2023MY EV6 (CV) vehicles produced from November 17, 2021 through February 3, 2023 which have a stored DTC P1AA600. The BMS ECU monitors voltage deviation; if over-voltage deviation between battery cells, poor insulation, abnormal cell voltage changes after charging, abnormal current change during charging, over-voltage, low voltage battery temperature deviation or average cell deviation during driving is detected, the BMU sets DTC P1AA600. This BMS DTC logic improvement will expand DTC P1AA600 into multiple DTCs to aid in proper diagnosis, which reduces the required time and steps outlined in the 'DTC Inspection' on KGIS to determine the fault using 'freeze frame' data.
