I’ve experienced my jeep compass when auto start is turned off and the car is at a red light and shuts off as soon as I let go of pedal the car seems to have trouble “turning on” it shakes and the lights flash. I have to just put ny car in park at the light and turn my engine off and on to get my car to work.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The Forward Collison icon is on, on my dash. I get a screen message the service is not working, then another to say the signal is lost. I cannot reprogram/reconnect the service in Uconnect. Makes no difference for icon whether engine is running or not. This started in November 2023. The dealer is saying sensor needs replaced. Which sensor? He indicated locations of several sensors. Dealer also says front bumper and grill and something under hood needs removed to replace sensor. Takes 5 hours to replace. Procedure seems very invasive. Reading on Jeep forums on same topic does not mention this procedure and time. Saying part taken out, cleaned or replaced. My 2023 Jeep Compass Latitude has 2580 miles as of today. The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the ABS, traction control, and other unknown warning lights illuminated. On another occasion, while driving at approximately 15 MPH, the tires locked up and unlocked. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the PCU sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired, and the vehicle was towed back to the residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 158,000.

My Coils had to be replaced several times. Last week I started to drive my car on a major road, shaking and no power. My car had to be towed once again. My mechanic told me the Jeeps have issues with the Coils. Not sure why this keeps happening but now It's scary to drive my vehicle and not knowing how quick this happens again. Recently my check engine light came on and off, changed the fuel gas cap, and had a code read. My mechanic mentioned that there was a safety recall regarding the manifold ? if so was this ever done and where I would like documents provided. On Sunday, 4/14 as I was driving, my Jeep suddenly lost power and stalled. I was able to get to a median. I waited a few minutes, started the vehicle and was able to reach my destination. The next day I was driving on the highway at approximately 65mph when the engine shut off again. Fortunately there was not a lot of traffic and I was able to coast to the berm of the road. The check engine light came on. Family members came to help. We started it a few times and tried to drive but would only get a mile or two and the same thing would happen. I had to have it towed to a repair shop near my house. The mechanic drove it the next day to see if it would act the same way. He also lost power and it stalled again. He told me that the code that came up was a crankshaft sensor failure. He replaced the part the next day.

High Coolant temperature notice code is thrown causing to lose all power to engine even though the vehicle is not overheating. I am put at risk because while traveling my jeep loses all power and someone could run into the back of my vehicle when traveling down the road.

People involved: Car purchased from CarMax- Michael Sanders is my current contact CNA- Warranty company Auto Clinic- first auto repair shop brought to. Previous owner issues- [XXX] Auxillary battery replaced-22,821 [XXX] Towed in to dealership- 2/3 qts low on oil 23, 230 [XXX] oil consumption test- 26,797 [XXX]- Restart oil test- 29,546 [XXX]- passed oil test- NOt sure how because was driven less than 40 miles- 29,583 Carmax oil change prior to purchase- [XXX] at 35,920 miles. Purchased car with 35,927 miles Drove 3,455 miles before first engine light. Current odometer reading is approximately 40,000 [XXX] Car purchased [XXX]- Called into work. Car would not go over 40 miles per hour. Service engine light and oil light on. [XXX]- Towed to Auto Clinic [XXX] Rental car from Enterprise [XXX] Rental returned and loaner issued [XXX] -Auto Clinic- [XXX] AClinic calls and says possible ring failure. CNA needs oil consumption test to determine how much oil is being burnt. AClinic recommends a tear down to determine the extent of the damage. [XXX]- Engine died on the way to work. Took day off and towed to CarMax. [XXX] Notified car is ready. Low on oil. Oil change and oil consumption test [XXX]- Picked up car after returning from out of town. Did not feel confident driving. [XXX] Service engine light is on again. Drove to CarMax/ recommendation by Chris Prayer. U110A was the diagnostic reading. Was given a loaner from CarMax. Main battery was low, draining from auxiliary battery. [XXX] car is ready to be picked up. [XXX] Reporting of door panel issue. The Uconnect screen has a black line on majority of the screen- happened occasionally at first, then every other time I started the vehicle, and now every time. I am unable to use the screen due to the malfunction which means I cannot use the back up camera, see the maps on the screen for navigation, or control heating/temp including defrost due not being able to see the screen which I feel are all safety issues to both myself and other drivers. So far an independent service center is running diagnostics- and no warning signs.

My 2015 Jeep Compass will randomly stall while I am driving... randomly breaking while im driving. Then very frequently it will not let me drive past 20 miles per hour (sometimes slower than this). It randomly acts like this. It always feels like it does not want to accelerate... it will sometimes but most times doesn't. I have taken it to both a private service center and to the dealership multiple times. The dealership states each time they see nothing wrong with my car. No codes pop up. Also when this happens nothing pops up on my dashboard. Driving this car has put me at risk multiple times that I refuse to drive it now. The last time I drove it, it was going 10 mph and I was reversing into my driveway and the car randomly sped up while I was reversing then went back to going super slow. I know someone in the same area as me with a jeep and she said her jeep has been doing similar things and the dealerships don't know what's wrong with it. The car has a mind of its own and is unsafe to me the driver and the drivers around while it is on the road. Nothing was wrong with my car prior to this... this randomly started happening and never stopped months later.

I purchased a 2023 Jeep Compass at the end of last year and have had issues while driving on the highway (with no cars in front or to the side of me) with the forward collision warning system going off and applying hard pressure on the brakes. Most recently, when driving on the highway the incident happened again (no cars in front or on the side of me), and nearly caused the driver behind me to run into my vehicle at 50+ mph. They had to swerve around me into another lane to avoid a collision. I have taken the vehicle to the Jeep dealership, and all they have been able to say is that they "cannot replicate the issue" and therefore have found no problems with the car.

The vehicle was purchased in Dec of 2023. It had a slight vibration and hesitation under acceleration a few miles after leaving the dealership, just assumed everything needed to “break in”. About a month later, we had noticed an intermittent roaring noise coming from the engine bay that vibrates the whole vehicle and sometimes stops on its own or after moving the gear selector from Drive to Select Shift (~2000 Miles). About a month later, the Engine Start/Stop was cutting off the engine before coming to a complete stop (below 5MPH) (~3000 Miles). In late February 2024 I took it to the dealer we purchased from and they acknowledged the issues but were not able to diagnose, therefore, they put “No Faults Found” on the invoice and told me that it was the self learning of the modules and should clear up after 6 months. The above symptoms were getting worse so we reached out to Jeep Wave Customer Support and they recommended we take it to a different dealer. I took it in around Mid March 2024, they acknowledged the issues and performed a reflash on the PCM, ECM, and TCM for a recall. March 23-Day of Reflash and first Buy Back request submitted through Jeep Wave. Since the day of reflash, the electronic ebrake has been activating during some stops (ebrake light not indicated on center console or on the screen in the instrument panel) and is not deactivating until the gear selector is moved to park or the vehicle is restarted. The Engine Start Stop has been activating even when turned off. The front USB port has stopped working, the interior blower motor is making noise and the buttons on the steering wheel are working intermittently. The range per tank has gone from roughly 400 miles to less than 200 miles although the average MPG on the gauge cluster has not decreased. It has been to 3 different dealers on 5 different occurrences. It was at a dealer today (04/03/24) the service advisor call Jeep and was told not to touch it and send us home. Second buy back denied

car always go to coolant temp high when driving and goes back down to middle mark, i will put antifreeze in the car and it will be okay for about two weeks and starts back up again. i always have to put antifreeze in my car and more frequent when the weather gets warmer.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds and turning, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the front driver's side and passenger's side control arms were fractured, and the inner and outer tie rod had failed. The mechanic determined that the parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

Passenger air bag fault randomly causes warning light. TIPM causing headlights to randomly shut off and flicker when driving at night. Both high and low beams. Randomly affects passenger and drivers headlights at different times, sometimes shutting off all lighting completely for a couple of seconds.
