When I'm driving my 2023 honda passport my steering wheel vibrates/shakes feels almost like the wheel is gonna come off. When I turn my steering wheel left or right driving or parked I hear a loud knock noise coming from under the front of my car. I have had multiple things checked and looked at and brand new tires and no matter what. When I get an alignment my car still pulls one way or another. I thinks its the steering gearbox

My Passport has shut down 4 times recently while idling at a stop. There is a auto start/stop feature on the car that shuts down the engine at stops until the brake is released. The problem is that it sometimes does not restart after releasing the brake. The first 3 times it happened at an intersection so it was no big deal. The last time, today, it stalled on a highway as soon as I stopped for heavy traffic. The car was automatically put it neutral and it took me about 40-50 seconds to realize what happened and to restart while the lanes next to me started moving at highway speeds. I looked up the problem online and saw a "Honda Idle-Stop Class Action Suit ([XXX])" and found out that it is happening to others as well. [XXX] I am not looking for money but want this to be looked at. I will be taking my vehicle in for repairs at a Honda dealership later this week. SEATS
This is not an accident but a could contribute to an accident. the drivers seat on the 2026 Honda passport is extremely difficult to sit in more than 30 mins. The fan ventilation "system" that is in the New 2026 passport can be felt and puts pressure in the pelvic floor and tail bone area. I have had to put a 2 inch padding and tip the site higher than I would normally. I know that seat are designed for safety and I am aware doing all these adjustments takes from that Safty in an accident. I can also add the structural (body) discomfort is very distracting while I drive which takes away from my focus. I have read many other complaints on reddit website forums. This is a design flaw that could possibly cause future harm. I feel this issue needs to be addressed by Honda .

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
When I turn on the car, the "BRAKE SYSTEM" warning light appears, along with several alerts that disable all Honda safety features, including: 1. Road Departure Mitigation System Problem 2. Auto High-Beam Problem 3. Adaptive Cruise Control Problem 4. Lane Keeping Assist Problem 5. Collision Mitigation System Problem After taking the vehicle to a Honda dealership, the diagnosis was a failure of the Multipurpose Camera Unit and/or the Millimeter Wave Radar. Unfortunately, this is a common issue affecting several Honda models, including the Clarity, Fit, Pilot, Passport, and CR-V. Due to high demand and limited supply, the camera unit is currently sold out nationwide with no estimated restock date. Repairing this issue is expected to cost approximately $2,600, with no set timeline for when the parts will become available.

On 4-5 occasions, the auto shutoff system will shut the vehicle down at a stop light when the brake is depressed. The vehicle did not restart as normal. In order to get the vehicle to restart, the vehicle has to be turned completely off and allowed to sit for 1 minute. The battery was fully charged and less than 1 yr old. The dealer was asked and did not find any problems and could not determine a cause. As a retired couple, this is quite concerning especially when in a major city, fully stopped and unable to get the car moving. The other drivers get upset and angry, which is scary these days. I am concerned that the auto shutoff might engage in heavy interstate stop and go traffic, which could lead to a major highway crash. Interestingly, I just received a note from a law firm filing a class action suit against Honda, if repairs were made. So, clearly there is a defect in the auto shut off system which need to be addressed.

First issue was I was in need of a transmission while only having the car for 1.5 years. I reached out to Honda corporate and I was unable to receive any help with goodwill. Secondly I am now experiencing issues with my alarm going off suddenly, and frequently. The dash board lights up and flickers. Upon doing research I have found that 2019 Honda passport has had major issues with transmissions, keyless modules controls and electronic issues. In addition my radio keeps going off and it says connection is lost. This has also been a very known and common issues upon doing research on the 2019 Honda passport There’s different dates for events. I will be able to email my invoice for my transmission

The shifting. The vehicle will shift to neutral without touching the brake. I had my puppy in the car with me and because of it being buttons he kept stepping on neutral and throwing my car into neutral almost causing a wreck when I was attempting to turn due to someone running a red light. Since you don’t automatically know that the car has been put into neutral and you just know that it is not accelerating it causes a major safety issue. My puppy should not have been able to accidentally put my vehicle into neutral without my awareness. I tested this later to see if I was just not aware that he did it while I was stopped and in fact I was able to put the car in neutral without having my foot on the brake.

Purchased a 2026 Honda Passport and driven approximately 1 month, 1000 miles. While going down the interstate, the panoramic sunroof exploded. Had the fabric cover not been closed, my children could have been seriously injured by shards of glass. We were able to safely pull over and assess the damage. Honda filed a warranty claim for repair.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Driving around 40 miles an hour on interstate during torrential rain around 4 PM. Visibility was bad and could see about 30 feet ahead. Car automatically slammed on break (ADAS BRAKE Light came on) and came to an abrupt stop 2 or 3 times as a tried to get car moving again. Luckily all traffic was driving slow and car behind was staying a good distance back. Otherwise I probably would have been rear-ended. This area is also under construction so some old road lines have been grinded down and new lines repainted to new traffic pattern. I have had the car brake and light come on2-3x before when I thought it shouldn't have. This is the first time it was so abrupt and did it several times back to back that I was scared for my safety.

“Road departure mitigation system problem” is the error that comes up on the dash. The error shuts down cruise control and slows the car down unexpectedly. I’ve taken the vehicle to the Honda dealer in Tampa Florida where I purchased it and they will not fix the vehicle. The error is a safety issue slowing the vehicle down in traffic and a driver distraction triggered by the Collision Mitigation System and Roadway Departure System.

When I attempted to accelerate as the light turned green, the engine failed to restart. The car was immobilized in the left-hand lane, hazards on, and shifted itself into Park. Multiple attempts to restart failed. After several minutes and repeated actions (cycling ignition, exiting and re-entering the vehicle), the car finally restarted. Safety Concern: The vehicle was disabled in active traffic, creating a hazardous situation for myself, my passenger, and surrounding drivers. Incident 2 •Date: August 13, 2025 •Time: ~6:37 AM •Location: Off-ramp of N Verrado Way & Papago Fwy, Buckeye, AZ •Speed: 0 mph (stopped at ramp light) •Witness: None •Weather: 86°F ambient temperature Description: While stopped on the freeway off-ramp, the AIS engaged. When I attempted to proceed, the engine failed to restart. The vehicle was stuck on the ramp with hazards on and remained inoperative for several minutes until it finally restarted. Safety Concern: The car was disabled on a freeway off-ramp during morning traffic, creating a serious risk of collision. Incident 3 •Date: August 19, 2025 •Time: ~3:04 PM •Location: 1520 N Verrado Way, Buckeye, AZ (Shell gas station parking lot) •Speed: 0 mph (shifting from Park to Reverse) •Weather: 110°F ambient temperature •Witness: None Description: After completing a quick errand, I entered the vehicle, started it normally, and attempted to back out of a parking space. When I shifted into reverse, the engine stalled due to AIS. This time, the car placd itself into Neutral rather than Park. The restart delay was shorter

First new car in my life and I’m 70. When we bought the car, within a week the entire dash board lit up with warnings. Call the dealer, they towed it to their shop and “calibrated” the Collision Mitigation front facing camera. This service was Completed but within the next 2 years, the situation repeated itself over and over But would always go away. The last time the system failed (with all of the bells and whistles) I went back to Honda and they informed me a replacement was required. $1500 later the front facing Multipurpose Camera was replaced. The car’s 3 year warranty expired 2 months before the needed replacement. The dealer told me that these cameras have been a significant problem, and are replaced often. The replacement camera has a different part number from what was installed on the car when built. This indicates that Honda knows of this problem, and has upgraded the camera but left it to the owners to replace if it is out of warranty (even 2 months). As a retired degreed Engineer, I think this is a significant safety issue….. to have all of the alarms activate while sitting in the drivers seat.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, ENGINE
The first major issue I just started running into at about 90,000 miles is the engine auto start stop feature. I usually disable it when I drive due to the inability for the car to provide adequate start from a stop, but when I don’t, I’ve had the vehicle completely stall on me at a stoplight and won’t let me restart the vehicle for several minutes leaving me stranded and vulnerable sitting in a lane on a highway. I’ve had about a dozen instances of this issue now over the last several months. The second issue is with the adaptive, cruise control or the emergency, stopping on the vehicle where it will jam on the brakes, even though there are no cars in front of me it inaccurately picks up vehicles in the oncoming lane. There are more than 8 feet separated from my vehicle. I have had the system recalibrated and have complained about it at the dealer, but I’ve been told that there’s nothing wrong with it. Just thought I’d report that as well because it’s almost got me into several accidents by jamming on my brakes for no reason and almost being rear-ended.

I was at a stoplight on a bridge in a left turning lane for ramp entry onto an interstate. I was going zero mph, with foot on brake. My auto idle stop was engaged. When the light turned green, I took my foot off the brake. At that moment my engine did NOT restart, instead my car stalled. Cars were coming up behind me going 45-50 mph as they saw the light was green. It was very scary, as I thought I would get rear-ended. I had to step on my brake, turn off car, then step on brake again to restart the car. I cannot trust the auto idle stop feature. At this point I try to always turn that feature off upon start-up. (1) to avoid the above situation and (2) to avoid breakdown of key components especially the starter.

The contact owns a 2026 Honda Passport. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brakes were independently activated briefly, with the message “Brake” displayed. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,637.
