The steering was stiff, sticky when driving up to 30 mph up. And experienced steering wheel temporary locked (cannot control anything) for a few second on highway. My steering is sticky and seems like it’s getting worse. When make tight left turn and go back , has a clunky sound.

- #11568391January 29, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, ENGINE
Our vehicle started to jerk whenever it is at low gear. The check engine light goes on and off. The traction control light goes on and off. And an error code came up: p060a. The vehicle has stalled 2x after moderately jerking multiple times while driving @ 50m/hr. The air conditioning blows hot air after a few minutes of it running. We have checked recalls for the particular make, model and year and it is showing the classic vehicle recalls from Honda. Unfortunately, our VIN number shows that it was not part of the recalled vehicle. We have gone through Honda hoping that they could at least do a diagnostic run and verify if it is a possible recall issue, but they will only do it if we pay for everything. Please help.

Starting at just over 36,000 miles after the last time I used LKAS there is now a stickiness in the steering. Light catches that almost seem like the LKAS is still trying to correct. I can overcome the catches, but makes the steering less comfortable than it should be and worry about worsening issue. Will be taking the car in for service but have seen may issues related to steering on this model of car, so wanted to make sure all complaints are noted by NHTSA. No warning lights are showing.

- #11568498January 29, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
A little over two weeks ago we took our 2019 Honda CRV to the dealership because all the indicator lights were lighting up on the dashboard. It started as I was sitting in the car with the car idling as I waited for my husband to come out of the store. We took a short video of what it was doing. The car was at the dealership the next day, but there were no indicator lights like the previous day. We shared the video with the service rep. When we picked it up we were told the fuel injectors needed to be replaced and it would cost in excess of $2,300. The car has less than 78,000 miles on it. The service rep said that if it was his car he would not drive it a distance (freeway) with this problem. That says to me that it is a safety issue. We had been concerned that it could be an electrical issue because the car was in a front-end, side-swipe collision in November 2023, and we had just gotten it back from repairs at the dealership two weeks before the indicator lights problem. The service rep assured us it was not an electrical problem. I looked up the problem on the internet. On [XXX] there were a number of other Honda CRV owners with the same problem at about the same mileage. Our safety is at risk with possible risk to friends and family because we need to drive on the freeway for daily activities. We took it to an independent automotive service location. They did not come to the same conclusion; the indicator lights were no longer on. This vehicle component has not been inspected by any others, other than already mentioned. - #11568653January 29, 2024TIRES
235/60R18 103H On January 20 and January 21, we were coming back from road travel on Long Island, New York and received a low-pressure indicator. We serviced the tires and did not have an issue until Wednesday January 24 again a low-pressure indicator. We took the vehicle to Mr. Tire in Lewes Delaware and were told the same tire had a second puncture but all the tires had low wear and extensive cracking. We paid $85.67 for Mr. Tire to put on the spare. [XXX] felt at 24,582 miles OEM tires should not fail. [XXX] contacted the Pohanka dealer and the dealer indicated they were having some premature failure issues with the tires and would pick the vehicle up. Before Pohanka could pick up the vehicle [XXX] was driving local less than 10 miles and the driver side rear tire split and completely failed. As such when Pohanka called they arranged a tow to their dealership to inspect the tires. Upon inspection it was determined the tires were failed INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Steering is often "sticky" causing driver to exert more pressure than normal to turn the wheel. Have expressed concerns to dealer and am waiting for parts to be ordered, they do not have an ETA for parts, in the meantime just having to deal with it.

The steering / steering wheel has been sticking while driving my 2023 Honda CRV, meaning the steering wheel does not turn smoothly but sticks while driving the car, forcing me to put slightly more pressure on the steering wheel to keep it steering safely and inside the lane. I think I noticed this problem probably 3 or 4 months ago. The problem does not seem to occur right away after leaving home and sometimes not at all while driving at lower speeds. I notice the sticky steering more often when the car is on the freeway going at a higher speed, but the sticky steering continues even when the car slows down.

At highway speeds, the steering feels sticky, like the wheels are stuck in a rut or that the steering wheel can't do smooth turns, especially around curves in the highway. This has occurred consistently while driving on the highways. I feel like there is more force needed to keep the steering smooth with the possibility of over compensating and losing control of the vehicle, which is scary while trying to stay on a curve. I took the vehicle to Bell Honda on Saturday, Jan 27th for the issue and they "could not duplicate the issue" and did nothing to fix the problem. There were no other warning signs or lights that indicate an issue, just the performance of the vehicle.

I bought my car in 2021, and starting immediately I had issues with my tires going flat, my suspension jolting any time a bump was hit, my gear shift does not fully shift into park which makes it nearly impossible to get my key out of the ignition, I was given a spare key to someone else’s car and was never issued a new one, and dealership (CarMax) has not made an attempt to help with repair on current safety recall.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - The drivers side mirror is vibrating noticeably more than the passenger side mirror in my new CRV Sport-L How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - The shaky mirror is distracting when trying to merge and to view traffic, especially at night with headlights involved Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - There are numerous online forums of other users experience the same issues in their 2023-24 CRV's Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - It has been vibrating since it was purchased new

On 1/24/2024 I experienced an issue with "sticky steering" which made my vehicle difficult and unsafe to drive. I felt that it was difficult to keep my vehicle in a single lane. This issue has already been reported to the NHTSA by other owners of the same vehicle. The vehicle is scheduled to have the issue reviewed on 2/5/2024 at the selling dealership. There were no warning lamps when this issue happened.

Steering seems to stick, causing overcorrection and almost causing loss of control. The vehicle is available for inspection. I came very close to losing control at highway speeds. The vehicle has not been inspected. There were no warnings and the problem seems to be getting more severe.

I started experiencing "sticky" steering (steering binding) mostly at highway speeds after the car has completely warmed up. The vehicle has EPS (Electronic Power Steering). The vehicle has less than 3,000 miles on it. The problem started less than 1000 miles ago. This condition makes the steering feel "unsure" at times. It almost feels like an old car with manual steering, when the steering box is failing. I will be taking it to the dealer for evaluation. No warning lights present. The problem occurs even when ALL driver assistance, lane departure systems, etc., are disabled.

Germain Honda of Naples inspected the problem on [XXX]. Stated that the problem was a part in the electric power steering rack. The vehicle steering sticks when adjusting the vehicle direction to the left or right. Additional pressure must be applied to the steering wheel before the steering releases and the vehicle changes direction. Vehicle has approximately 3400 miles. A part has been ordered, but delivery is delayed until April, 2024 No warning/trouble lights appeared. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
