I was notified by Honda that the fuel pump on my 2018 Honda CR-V would be replaced when replacement pumps became available. That was in May of 2024. As of this writing, I have not heard from my local dealer (Honda World, Louisville, KY) or Honda corporate about the availability of a replacement.

- #11617782October 2, 2024POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
All driving assistance features (Lane Departure, Adaptive Cruse Control, ABS and other sensing components) , warning flashing on dashboard and within a second of this message speed drastically reduced to 20mph from whatever speed on running. It does not allow me to escalate but after some time it escalates on its own. Due to reduce of speed suddenly puts me, co- passengers and other vehicles behind on risk of collision or even risk of life and same time unexpected escalation makes driver lose control. These incidents happen thrice even after service center says it fixed. This problem is reported to service center and Honda customer care. Currently the vehicle is with dealer service center.

A week ago the steering system started malfunctioning on my 2023 Honda CR-V. While driving on straight and level highways at between 35 to 60 mph, the steering wheel seems to be "sticking" or encountering an obstruction causing occasional overcorrection resulting in almost hitting traffic in the adjacent lane, especially on narrow roads. There are no warning lights or messages related to this condition.

- #11617606October 1, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving on a straight road (daylight, dry conditions) in my 2022 Honda CR-V (mid trim level) using my adaptive cruise control. The closest cars ahead of me, and in the periphery, were at least three quarters of a mile away. All of a sudden, the car, independent of me, SLAMMED on the brakes. Fortunately, this did not cause an accident, but 10 minutes earlier, when I was on a crowded interstate during rush hour, the result might have been very different. As I reflect on this incident, I realize that this has happened at least twice before. However, in those cases, I thought the front sensor had picked up a curved barricade or something. But no! Apparently the CR-V randomly slams on the brakes. Clearly this is a dangerous situation that needs to be resolved. Ideally there will be a recall within the next few months to replace whatever component is causing this problem to happen.

- #11617449October 1, 2024FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that on two separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the failure was not related to the recall; however, the contact disputed the claim. The vehicle was not diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

- #11617555October 1, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Yesterday, my car was working fine. This afternoon October 1, 2024, when I turned on the engine I saw a prompt “CMBS problem” on the screen. Warning signs/lamps lit up as well, 1. Adaptive control cruise problem, Road departure mitigation system problem, collision mitigation system problem, and auto high beam problem. I have not contacted the dealership about this current issue because I plan to go to the dealership to do my oil change this coming Saturday 10/05/2024. Just an FYI, they still haven’t addressed my recall ( the 2017-22 fuel pump mtr saf recall exp2). At this time, no injury happened, but I am definitely scared of my safety using my car.

- #11617154September 30, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
In June 2024 the first warning that appeared was an emissions warnings. The vehicle seemed to be running fine despite the warning. After the warning was cleared, the vehicle continued to run well. At the beginning of August the vehicle experienced multiple system failures, indicated by error messages in 11 different systems, including the check engine light. The affected systems were Tire Pressure Monitoring, Brake System, Electronic Power Steering, Vehicle Stability Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Electric Parking Brake, Emissions System, Brake Hold System, Hill Start Assist, and Collision Mitigation System. When these errors were displayed, critical safety systems in the vehicle were rendered inoperable, posing a significant risk while driving. An emissions system issue should not have caused multiple safety systems to be disabled. After the errors occurred, the vehicle was taken to a dealership for inspection. The dealer identified that the emissions system was running too rich, causing the fuel injectors to become soiled, leading to engine misfires and reduced power/fuel economy. The dealership reported the issue as “DTC P0303 No3 Cylinder Misfire, P0172 Fuel System (B1) Too Rich.” No other system faults were detected despite the earlier errors. I will get the new fuel injectors installed as soon as I can afford it. Unfortunately this issue is well-documented online as a common problem with the Gen5 Honda CR-V, with many owners reporting similar experiences. Despite widespread complaints, Honda has not acknowledged a potential manufacturing defect in the fuel system and has not issued a recall.

I have received a recall on my car last year, and I called multiple dealership to see if they have any parts available, then said they don’t have any parts. So I have to wait for the Honda letter to be notified that if the parts are available. But now I am experiencing engine hesitation recently and i am very worried about it becomes a safety issue, so I called Honda of Seattle and Lynwood Honda again and told them this problem, but they still keep saying that they don’t have the parts and they can’t do anything for me.
