FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
While driving my vehicle in snowy conditions, my vehicle slammed on the brakes and sensed a collision. The sensors were covered with snow, and typically, the sensors will turn off when they are obstructed. At the time I was going 30-35 MPH in 1-2 inches of snow and my vehicle detected a possible collision and auto-braked, bringing me to an immediate stop. Should there have been a vehicle immediately behind me, I would have been rear-ended and the vehicle behind me would not have had time to react due to the snow conditions. I cannot stress how dangerous this is while driving in adverse conditions with other vehicles around you to have your vehicle come to an immediate stop. This continued to happen 4 more times at while driving at lower speeds, during turns, driving in parking lots. Each time the system will state something related to forward collision avoidance and the giant "BRAKE" sign will flash in my dashboard. I no longer felt safe driving my vehicle in the snow due to this auto-braking system.

STEERING
I was thrilled to hear that there is a recall for Honda Cr-V steering problems. When I searched my VIN, there is no recall for my car. My steering has been problematic since this summer - there is resistance to turn the wheel when making a turn and at times there is a clicking/sticking noise that happens. HONDA, PLEASE RECALL ALL VEHICLES THAT ARE AFFECTED.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
Drivers side door mirror vibrates while driving. Causes issues when looking at it when checking for traffic etc. This has been reported and verified by dealer. This is a known issue by Honda and has been reported by other Honda owners. Dealer told me that Hona is aware but mirrors are back ordered and no time table for repair. This is a safety item.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
When you turn on the car, all warning lights come on, ALL error messages that can be displayed are displayed, and safety features become disabled. The systems resets after you turn the car on & off at least 5 times but the issue always reappears. Error codes P0172 & P219C have been detected during the issue. The dealer replaced the fuel injectors to remedy the issue.

VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD
The windshield wipers do not remove water and always leave a film. This film will not go away with defrost, extra cleaning, washer fluid. I replaced the blades and still the reflective film remains. It is extremely hazardous to drive because all light reflects off the film and horribly impairs vision. Honda refuses responsibility. Also, the washer fluid does not clean windows either. Dust also becomes highly reflective with light and horribly impairs vision. Someone needs to fix this asap or there will be multiple accidents. I am not the only one with this dangerous problem.

STEERING
When driving at speeds of 40+ mph, I am experiencing stickiness from the steering wheel when attempting to turn the wheel. The steering wheel feels like it is stuck for a second when you start to turn the wheel and then it will turn as normal. This is happening consistently for about 2 months now.

I purchased a brand new Honda CRV 2022 ,VIN [XXX] , on [XXX] in Herson's Honda Rockville Dealership, Maryland. Shortly after the purchase the navigation system started to malfunction creating putting me in a danger on the road. After 10 minutes of driving the map goes blurred then screen gets saturated, the map gets smeared. It creates unsafe driving experience. I have addressed this issue to the Honda service center several times in 2022 and 2023 separately and during each routine oil change. There was no successful solution so far. I feel very unsafe and discouraged to drive this car with this ongoing issue. Specially with the kids in the car. I had several situations of losing the control of direction while on the highway due to map getting unclear. In March and April 2024 I reached out to American Honda, they created a case, sent me a survey, sent me to the service center but did not provide any solution. There was no written solution by the side of American Honda, only phone calls advising this is a software issue with Apple and Android and told me to wait for the software update. It has been two years, no solution. This problem substantially impairs the car's value or use. I have only driven it 17,000.00 miles since I don't feel safe driving long distances in it. The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the vehicle was occasionally difficult to start. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the steering wheel was sticking. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the power steering box and rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Multipurpose windshield camera failed which disable many of the driver assistance safety systems. Dashboard display showed constant multiple system failures that could not be turned off by driver. Replacing the multipurpose windshield camera and recalibrating the camera cleared all the system failures. Cost for repairs was $1,737 which seems extreme for a camera.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The car's forward collision warning system is defective. The car will randomly bring up "BRAKE" on the dashboard with nothing even close to the car. This has started happening many times over the past few weeks, with even at least one instance of the car braking on its own. I brought this up to the dealership during my last oil change recently, and they inspected and looked into it. They said there was nothing wrong with the sensors/system and they documented it (specifically saying no problem found vehicle is operating normally at this time). However, a day or two after the dealership, the problem returned and it continues to persist. In addition to this, the blind spot warning system also randomly goes off when nothing is nearby, but not as often as the braking system, which is more dangerous in my opinion.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
At startup, routinely see the following messages: Lane keeping assist problem Road departure mitigation system problem Collision mitigation breaking system problem I have taken the car into multiple Honda dealers this year to fix the issue. The first told me I needed to have the Body Control Module replaced, and that the can could try and communicate with the key fob constantly, risking battery drain and posing a safety issue. The part was replaced, but the issue persisted. I then opened a case with Honda corporate, Case #: 14639406. This dealer said there was a "short" in the multipurpose camera and replaced that part. 2 months later, the issues came back.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The drivers side door unlocks on its own after I have locked the door and start walking away from the vehicle. It is not suppose to open until after I have grasped the handle to open it when it has been locked. I can hear it unlock when I am outside the vehicle and somewhere in the vicinity of 10 feet away from the vehicle. I can have it available for inspection at any time. This problem causes the battery to drain and the vehicle won't start. The dead battery has happened to me twice (once in an airport parking lot and once at home). I have researched this on the internet and it is a common problem for the vehicle (both the unlocking and subsequent draining of the battery). The safety issue is, if this were to happen in a situation where conditions were such that I couldn't get my car started and I needed to escape an assailant that's trying to do harm to me or other passengers (children) in my vehicle. Another scenario could be needing to be able to drive away from any dangerous situation (stuck in a desert in extreme heat, a forest fire, etc...). The list could be endless. You need to be able to start your car when necessary. It hasn't been inspected by a dealer but I have contacted them twice about this issue. I haven't had it inspected by anyone. Many people have had this same problem and the repair at dealer is roughly $700 dollars. I think they have to replace the door lock actuator. There were no warnings, messages or other symptoms before it first happened. The problem first happened in April/May of 2024.

Emergency braking system activated twice in a period of about 5 minutes without any objects/ cars in pathway. Speed approx 40 mph in bright daylight it has never done that before and I deactivated it until I can have mechanic check it out.

ENGINE
SUDDEN ACCELERATION, while foot on the brake. This caused us to have an accident hitting cemented poles in front of a store. Our CRV was badly smashed in the front, making it undriveable. There was three of in the vehicle getting jolted and jerked. I believe this problem needs to be looked into, before someone else is hurt.

STEERING
Power steering seems to "catch and stick" while driving then all of a sudden, the car veers a bit to one side. Then as you attempt to make a minor correction to drive straight ahead, it seems to over correct. If you are stopped with the engine running and just apply very light pressure on the steering wheel either to the right or left, the steering wheel will skip a notch or two in the direction you are holding the wheel yet the tires do not turn at all. Very disconcerting that you are going to wind up in the adjacent lane. Per several Honda owners forums, this seems to be an issue on 2024 CR-Vs.
