Honda 2025 CR-V AWD. Fuel Mileage decreased from 31 MPG to 22 MPG on [xxx] on [XXX] Highway Trip leaving Vernon Hills, Illinois with Cruise Control and Economy Mode Set. There was no Engine Performance Problem and no errors were indicated. The car dashboard displayed the average mileage as 22-23 MPG while leaving our hotel and stayed that way most of the day. So the decreased fuel mileage most likely was a fuel leak. Then late in the day, the fuel mileage increased back to 26 MPG. Poor fuel mileage with a small fuel tank is dangerous on [xxx] in Kansas and Eastern Colorado. This is due to the wide distances between fuel stops. There really is nothing out there due to lack of water. If fuel was leaking, that is also a fire hazard. Took to car to dealer for diagnosis. No fault was found. I asked them about the fuel pump recall and they said that they would notify me when the replacement part was available for my car. (1) Recall Summary American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling specific 2023-2025 CR-V vehicles due to a defect in the steering gearbox worm wheel. This improperly produced component may swell during use, which compromises the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. Furthermore, the worm gear's spring preload was set too high, escalating the sliding force between these parts. Consequently, the combination of reduced grease film and increased friction leads to greater resistance during steering. Safety Risk The heightened friction between the worm gear and worm wheel results in increased steering effort and difficulty, significantly elevating the risk of a crash or injury. (2) Recall Summary American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is urgently recalling certain 2023-2025 multi-model year Honda vehicles due to critical defects in the high-pressure fuel pump. The improper production has led to the formation of cracks at the solenoid core component, which can result in a dangerous fuel leak during operation, especially in lower mileage vehicles. Safety Risk The presence of a fuel leak poses an extreme risk, as it can ignite in the presence of an ignition source. This scenario significantly heightens the risk of fire, crash, or serious injury, demanding immediate attention and action. I contacted the American Findlay Honda Management Department in Henderson, Nevada, only to be hit with a stark refusal; they will not place me in a new 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. As a long-time customer, I felt utterly bewildered and crushed by this response. Just weeks ago, they aggressively pushed this specific vehicle to me, fully aware that significant recalls were on the horizon. This is not just terrible news—it’s a blatant betrayal by management! I am seriously contemplating legal action against American Honda and Findlay Honda in Henderson, Nevada. Their actions scream deceit and predation; they are nothing less than crooks and sharks

- #11622031October 25, 2024STEERING
The vehicle's steering started to feel harder or sticky when making turns (right turn particularly) since March 2024 (with the mileage around 33500). When making turns, you always feels some resistance or stickness of the wheel or noise especially for some long or sharp turns (ramps on the high ways or big turns). The probably had been on and off but had been consistent recently. We took the vehicle to the dealer on 10/4/24 and they claimed they cannot reproduce the problem but told us that they had been notice the same problems for other CRV and we need to wait for the official recall. Now the problem had been getting worse and it had been affecting the driving and safety when making turns.

1. my car has steering wheel gearbox recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the car in "Phillipsburg Easton Honda" but they vaguely answered me saying that they don't have the part to repair it and will let me know when they have. Without telling me any time frame to repair it. 2. The gate door malfunctions when trying to open it manually from outside using the rubber handle on the gate door. It is randomly happens, not always. 3. Lane departure warning malfunctions and in many occasions I received warning and steering wheel shakes when I drive inside the lane.

My steering jerks hard left and corrects it self it also excels been braking, cranking the wheel turns freely and the car is very unsafe to drive i can lose control of the vehicle. All emergency lights are on steering wheel light exclamation point tps light among other things.i was told the EPS systems isn't working the steering control module, steering rack and all sensors replaced honda dealership also let me know this has been a common problem with crv years 16,17,18 I have no recalls on my car presently. I also want to add my father has the same 2016 honda crv and his is failing as well. This repair is mandatory and is very expensive over 6 thousand dollars and honda is denying to call a recall for this issue. This is a major safety issue and should be brought to attention. I am very sure that are many. Many customers out there that have experienced the same thing, and that should be reimbursed for them. Selves having to pay thousands of dollars to repair their car. Unfortunately, my car is worth $9000. As it stands. That is over half the cost of the car.

3 Check engine lights came on when my car was transitioning from electric to gas while I was sitting idle. I towed my brand new car (6500 miles) to the honda dealership and they diagnosed it as faulty fuel injectors, a bad spark plug, and a bad ignition coil. The dealer said this is a widespread issue and they have been servicing this type of issue very frequently.

The car had just 44,242 miles when this problem started on 8/21/2024. Two months later, the problem persists. The safety systems of the car fail upon startup and remain this way for multiple cycles of driving the car. The reality is that I cannot check enough boxes above because the form doesn't allow me. The following warnings all come up at the same time: - Emission System Problem - Brake System Problem - Brake Hold System Problem - Power Steering System (EPS) Problem - Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem - Hill Start Assist Problem - Adaptive Cruise Control Problem - Collision Mitigation System Problem - Road Departure Mitigation System Problem - Electronic Parking Brake Problem - Tire Pressure Monitor Problem Eventually, after some amount of time or some number of restarts, the warnings clear and the safety systems work again. Then, the problem reappears.

This vehicle has 33k miles on it and both front axels make noise when the vehicle has been driven for about 20 minutes and one starts to make turns. Honda says it needs new axels but does not know why they have failed. Honda says the CV boots are intact. Seems like this part should not fail on such a new, low mileage vehicle and is likely indicative of a larger problem with the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle briefly hesitated before losing motive power. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to be restarted. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the Oxygen sensor. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.

Vehicle displayed a “Critial Power Failure” on the highway twice while under 1000 miles odometer. Vehicle acceleration stopped and car coasted. Needed to pull over and shut off. After turning on displayed “Emissions System Failure” warning for about 48 hours then cleared. Vehicle stalled twice while driving on the highway with no power. Very dangerous as one time I had nowhere to pull over while my car slowed to a stop. Children were very scared in the backseat.
