The vehicle is not going straight on the freeway. Constantly veering to the left and have to adjust but sticks and have to jerk steering wheel to stay straight. Typically happens after driving for more than 10 miles. Going around left curves will veer to adjacent lanes or wall and have to quickly adjust. Have many times veered into other lanes while other vehicles are in the lane and being honked at. No warning lights, messages have appeared. Took it in to dealer to inspect and confirmed that the Electronic Power Steering rack not correctly working and needs to be replaced. This should not be happening on a 2 year old car. If by replacing the parts and the part is the issue, there is no sense in replacing every several years and will get very expensive for the consumer. Honda is waiting till warranty is expired so consumer have to bear the cost as the manufacturer should be aware of all the complaints while doing nothing to fix the issue people are having. This issue is not a safe driving condition as the vehicle veers to other lanes.

When no other vehicles ahead on straight road, decelerates randomly 15-20 mph. Happened at least 3 times on a 450 mile trip. Occasionally also will brake when car ahead change lanes in a different lane than I was driving.

Sticky steering have to over correct and not really safe to drive. Went to the Honda dealership and they quotes me 3500 for repair but I have no warranty! It isn't safe for my kids and I to drive but it's my only transportation. I've read many complains of these cars having this issue and having to have rack replacements.

Sticky steering wheel at low and high speeds, particularly on turns. There’s now an accompanying clicking noise. I know loads of other people experiencing same issue. Definitely not safe on highways.

The electrical power steering system can sometimes make steering feel very sticky, which can be unsafe. This stickiness happens because the system may resist turning movements, making it hard to steer smoothly. On the highway, this can lead to jerky motions as you struggle to maintain control. This issue compromises safety by making steering unpredictable and difficult.

While driving my 2017 Honda Civic, I notice that the steering wheel sticks while trying to keep the car centered. While driving, as the car needs to be slightly adjusted at the end range it sticks and I have to add a little force to get it to recorrect which causes a slight overcorrection. Honda says that it looks like I need a new rack and pinion system on my 2017 Honda with less than 60,000 miles. The sticking can be significant. Honda says while there are Recalls on steering components in the 2017 Honda Civic my vin number is not included. This has been an on-going issue for over six months.

I was driving on the freeway traveling about or higher than 65 mph with high wind resistance (my opinion) when the front lower bumper shield started dragging under the vehicle causing to pull over in high traffic with my kids. Upon my own investigation the front lower bumper seem to rip and fold down ward causing it to drag.

Driver door window shattered while car was parked. No one was in the car when it happened, no injuries. Possibly heat related. Window was bowed out. Have multiple pictures of damage. Insurance says they will cover it. The dealer says not covered under car warranty. Seems to be a manufacturing defect if heat stress (temperature differential) can make a window burst.

My 2016 Honda Civic recently started having a problem with the air conditioner. The air blowing through is not cold and also smells strange. After taking it to an official Honda dealer, they've confirmed it's a problem with the evaporator and it needs to be replaced. An extended warranty exists for the compressor and condenser but not the evaporator. I believe the three are related and the evaporator should also be covered under warranty. This problem affects the air being pushed through the AC unit and could harm the passenger's well being.

While driving at highway speeds the steering can feel "sticky" where extra effort is required to make small adjustments to keep the car properly centered in the lane. It happens most frequently during warm weather and/or when driving for longer than 20-30 minutes. The effort required to compensate for the issue leads to a delay in the course correction and frequently over steering. Either of which can be a safety issue as the former could lead to being unable to avoid an object on the road and the latter could lead to veering into oncoming traffic.

Steering wheel sticks with left turn. Once on the Highway the steering wheel is tough to bring back straight requiring constant micro readjustments even when going straight. When bringing the steering wheel back to the center from a left turn at slow and highway speed, the steering wheel clicks, notches, and catches making my car unsafe to drive on the highway especially.

Body control module constantly fails and begins to parasitically drain the battery of the vehicle. I've had to swap the body control module twice now after it has failed shortly after the warranty period. This is not as serious as other issue but having the battery drained at unexpected times can cause safety issues.

AC leaking Freon inside cabin. AC unit leaking Freon in atmosphere. My car’s AC unit started blowing hot air instead on AC cold air. Making it dangerous to stay and operate the vehicle while high temperatures here in California. I was told at Honda dealer that there are several TSB for AC repairs due to leaking from the AC condensers and AC compressor but that my car is leaking from inside the cabin through the evaporator and possibly inhaled the Freon that was escaped and the rest into the atmosphere. Extremely dangerous. Many articles about this please help? Honda USA is not helping fix and wants to do outrageous changes to get it fix.
