When I’m driving at highway speeds the steering wheel feels stiff like the power steering isn’t working then it kicks in and over steers so you are going back and forth in your lane. If you don’t use both of your hands the car can get away from you and you will end up in the next lane.

Engine began misfiring and would deliver inconsistent power. The fuel injector was faulty and leaked gas into the engine oil.

At highway speeds or after driving longer distances there is an increased amount of effort needed to turn the steering wheel. When making slight adjustments the steering wheel “sticks” and then overcorrects sometimes causing my car to shift into the other lane. I have had several others drive my car and notice the same issue.

1) Caused by faulty Body Control Module (BCM). 2) Can't enter car, key fob won't unlock car. Dashboard is illuminated when car is off, I can see it through my window. 3) Alarm horn went on when car is off. 4) Turn on my car, multiple errors, go to drive the car thinking I need to reset it from battery change. Shut off my car, but go to turn it back on. Car cranks but won't turn on, shows multiple errors on dash. 5) Dash shows "keyless start system problem" and car won't turn off. When pushing button to turn off car, head lights and a/c turn off but the engine still runs, push/start button flashes. Disconnected battery, still runs. Had to pull fuel or ECU fuse to stop the car running. 6) Can't reliably get my car to start. Issue is intermittent.

- #11623264November 2, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS, STEERING
Dear Honda Customer Support Team, I want to address an urgent safety concern with my 2023 Honda Civic, which has been affected by the recent recall (NHTSA Recall Number: 24V-744, MFR Campaign ID: SJS) issued on October 3, 2024, for 2022-2025 This recall addresses a defect in the steering gearbox worm wheel, which can swell during use, resulting in a reduced grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. Additionally, the worm gear spring preload was set too high, increasing friction and causing the steering to become resistant. This defect can create dangerous driving conditions, significantly raising the risk of a crash or injury. On multiple occasions, I have experienced instances where the steering has become unresponsive, effectively “locking up” while driving. These occurrences have been extremely distressing, impacting my confidence in the vehicle's safety and contributing to substantial mental distress. Additionally, I have noticed recurring issues with the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system, such as electrical malfunctions that cause the car to stall unexpectedly, activate the automatic stop feature, and produce erratic sensor behavior. I have reported these concerns to my dedicated dealership, but unfortunately, the issues remain unresolved. On November 2, 2024, I brought my vehicle to White Plains Honda at 61 Bank Street, White Plains, New York 10606, after scheduling my appointment two weeks in advance. However, I was informed that the replacement part required to resolve the steering gearbox defect is on backorder with no confirmed availability date. Considering the safety risks associated with driving my vehicle in its current state, I am deeply concerned about the indefinite delay in repairs. Given the critical nature of these safety concerns, I am formally requesting an immediate replacement vehicle to ensure my safety and that of my passengers.

The steering gearbox worm wheel in my 2024 Honda Civic (VIN: [XXX] ) has malfunctioned, creating increased friction and resistance, which poses a serious safety risk by compromising my ability to steer safely. This issue, confirmed by Honda’s recall notice (NHTSA Recall Number 24V-744), could lead to loss of control, increasing the risk of an accident. Despite contacting Honda and my dealership multiple times over the past month, no repair or inspection has been performed, and I’ve been unable to get a timeline for resolution. The steering also began making an unusual noise recently, heightening my concern. Given the unresolved safety defect and the car's diminished value, I believe this vehicle qualifies as a “lemon,” and I am seeking either a replacement or relief from the loan due to the financial and safety implications. The A/C unit is continuously giving out. The condenser and compression shaft have been replaced twice and have now damaged the evaporator causing it to leak. Due to the A/C system blowing hot air, driving in the high degree weather has became a risk to myself and passengers. Dealership has checked if the parts affected were under warranty to resolve issue, however, Honda does not cover evaporator leak problem even though multiple owners have complained about issue. The repair quote is costing owners more than $2k out of pocket that they may have to replace again in a short time. Causing financial burden from the brand's negligence. Issue will first blow hot air on the driver side and the passenger side will soon follow suit.

The ball joint metal part broke. The ball joint is not connected to the lower control arm instead the ball joint is a part that has a metal piece included that connects to the lower control arm. The piece is thin and break in my car over a small pothole doing speed limit this would not happen in any other make. The part looks cheap on the metal piece. The safety of the vehicle was bad until I got a safe place to park the car there was a lot of damage the wheel departed of the cv axle making it dangerous. No symptoms just a piece that is thin and dangerous to any inconvenience that drivers may occur. It would be good there is an action and further investigation of the ball joint part and hopefully there is going to be a recall regarding the incident for a lower control arm that connects directly to the ball joint or a more thick and durable piece

It’s almost been a year since the recall came out. The dealerships are saying Honda hasn’t issued any parts. Called the Marysville Service Center, was told Honda wasn’t fixing any cars unless having problems. Am I supposed to wait until something happens, get in an accident???

Honda failed to notify me of a fuel pump recall and has failed to replace or fix it within a reasonable time frame. Honda still have not given a timeline of when they will be able to fix the recall and told me to “figure it out” if I want it done sooner.

I was 3 hrs away from home and I started my vehicle and the air bag light began flashing and beeping. The light was on the message board that indicates my speed, clock, fuel, etc. it basically is the information center for the car. I pushed the information button on the steering wheel to clear it but it kept blinking and flashing the entire way home. I also turned off the engine and restarted it but no luck with that either. It was a very distracting experience having to drive 3 hours like this. I made an appointment with my mechanic and he diagnosed it as the Occupant Passenger Detection Sensor. This will cost $800.00 to repair. The car is not drive able in this condition because of the safety of the air bag. I looked up recalls but it seems my car has none.

My AC gave me problems 2years ago, after a couple times at dealer finally, needs to replace Compresor and condenser and hoses. Honda put me in waiting list for the replacement of the parts. (covered under 10 years extended warranty) finally got call to repair the car. Now my AC again stop working only hot air. Took the car to Honda, now the evaporator is leaking. They want $ 2,450 to replace.
