ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VISIBILITY/WIPER, BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS
The failure of the APIM has completely disabled the Rearview Backup Camera, which is a federally mandated safety feature (FMVSS No. 111). Operating a heavy-duty F-250 without a functional backup camera creates a significant blind-spot hazard and an immediate safety risk to pedestrians and property. King Ford has confirmed the failure. Service Director Jamie Churchwell has acknowledged the damage as "Consequential Damage" resulting directly from the attempted software update for Safety Recall 22S35. It is currently being reviewed by the Ford District Parts and Service Manager (as reported by the dealer) for a "Related Damage" warranty claim . The vehicle’s screen and backup camera were functioning perfectly prior to the recall service. The failure occurred at the dealership during the application of the manufacturer’s recall software update.

SEAT BELTS
Rear passenger seatbelt came UNSECURED from the rear seat mounting bracket. Unknowingly ENDANGERED my child by becoming dislodged therefore leaving her WITHOUT any restraint mechanism in the event of a crash! The incident happened at evening after hours and NOT been reported to manufacturer, dealership, law enforcement, or any other as of present. There were no warning signs or indicators other than the safety belt just freely coming up into her hand when we parked and she unbuckled.

Transmission has shifting issues. Sometimes is don't down shift below 4th gear and when in an intersection truck barley moves then it shifts hard and can move . It also is constantly shifting between gears. It will shift form 10th to 5yh while driving.

The contact was an insurance company that called on behalf of the previous owner. The contact's Insurance Company took possession of a 2025 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a loud popping noise was heard coming from the vehicle with no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that following the failure, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in a collision with another vehicle. The contact also stated that a tire unexpectedly detached from the vehicle during the incident. The vehicle then veered off the roadway and collided with a tree, where it came to a stop. No injuries were sustained, and no medical attention was required. A police report was filed. The contact confirmed that the air bags deployed during the crash. The mechanic sent a fuel sample to a testing company, and it was confirmed that there was no water contamination. The mechanic diagnosed that the high-pressure fuel pump had exploded. The mechanic replaced the high-pressure fuel pump and fuel rails, and a decontamination kit was installed. The vehicle was repaired at the contact's expense. 2021 f250 with the 7.3v8. 120000 miles and lifter has failed. We believe that we caught it early enough to where we have no more issues other than this. After reading up I have noticed where there has been several other customers with same issue on this engine. I run several f350 pickups with our business and have been very pleased and bought this pickup to run around in and keep from driving the work trucks. I would like to think that this should not be an issue with this amount of miles. I hope ford steps up and fixes this issue

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Low fuel pressure alert came on the truck. It went away and then came on again a few days later. We took the truck to Joe Meyers Ford in Houston, TX. They verified the code/alert and replaced the fuel filter, then re-tested. The alert returned and once they continued their diagnosis, it was determined that the fuel pressure control valve had failed, allowing fuel, DEF, and water into the fuel filter. The fuel pressure would no increase to minimum spec of 55 psi. Ford then said that without replacing the Fuel Pressure Control Valve, Fuel pump, fuel filters, and flushing all the lines, the risk for the engine to seize up was very likely. They noted this was a similar issue happening to 2020 and older trucks, but all the same parts and issues. Upon repairing the truck, we have read up on recall 24V957 and feel the issues we encountered are identical in complexity and costs. We paid nearly $20,000 in repairs.

2 different issues- 1st issue was Ford factory fuel filter leaked at a seam. Resulting in fuel loss all over engine! 2nd issue is fuel filter inlet line retaining clip comes unclipped on its own resulting in fuel loss all over the engine. Both incidents happened during long distance travel which also resulted in several gallons of fuel drenching whole undercarriage of vehicle.
