while driving at highway speeds the transmission has shited gears causing the truck to hesitate, and stuble hunting for gears. This truck has the same 6r80 transmission that is being recalled in 2015-2017 modles. Please have this modle year include.

Transmission shifts down to 2nd while traveling without warning. It was taken to local dealership but nothing found wrong at that time. It is available for inspection. The down shift was immediate and severe without warning, which was startling. We were traveling at regular speed when this occurred. It has been reported and was told there was no recalls, however, I now see recalls for F150s beginning year 2014. My truck is a 2013 but the recall for the 2014s is exactly what occurred with my 2013 F150.

10R80 Transmission has started to go bad like all the other complaints. CDF Drum walking, Valve Body leaking pressure, Torque Converter bearings are whining and getting louder. Flaring between gears and now at highway speeds from 9th gear to 10th gear is has a flare then goes into "Neutral Lockup" and tries to go back to 1st gear. Thankfully, it hasn't actually locked into 1st gear but this happens frequently and is a major life threatening defect now. I am afraid to drive the vehicle and Ford Motors knows there is an issue (for years) and has not created a recall for my VIN.

Vehicle: 2021 Ford F-150 XLT Issue: Transmission Malfunction and Safety Concern I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a serious and ongoing transmission issue with my 2021 Ford F-150 XLT. The vehicle has exhibited multiple dangerous and unpredictable transmission behaviors that raise significant safety concerns. First, the truck experiences a pronounced 3–4 shift flare. During this shift, the engine RPM rises abnormally high before the transmission engages the next gear. This creates a noticeable delay in acceleration and reduces driver control, particularly when merging into traffic or accelerating from lower speeds. Second, there is a severe hard engagement when shifting from Park into Drive or Reverse. The vehicle produces a loud and forceful clunk, accompanied by a jarring motion. This issue occurs consistently and gives the impression of excessive internal wear or mechanical failure within the transmission system. Third, the transmission intermittently becomes stuck in gear or behaves erratically. This includes sudden, harsh downshifts without driver input, bringing the vehicle to a stop, and occasions where the vehicle resists changing gears altogether. These events are abrupt and can be dangerous, especially at highway speeds or in heavy traffic conditions. Additionally, there have been instances of delayed engagement and hesitation when selecting Drive or Reverse, further compounding concerns about reliability and safety. These transmission problems are not only disruptive but also pose a real risk of accident or injury due to loss of predictable vehicle operation. I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated, as it may indicate a broader defect affecting similar vehicles. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

I was on Spencer street at the light about to cross on Saint rose park way. When the light turned green my truck wouldn’t let me proceed and the it went into a low gear and make a lot of noise until I crossed and stoped at the Horizon ridge light. At the light I turned off the truck like I have done every time this had happened after ford said they did the recall but after they did the recall I’ve been having all these issues. I turned the vehicle back on and put into into drive and it went into reverse I immediately pressed my brakes knowing there is a car behind me. Thankfully the guy saw the truck with the hazards and going into reverse he immediately went into the next lane. I couldn’t move I was stalled. Had the shut the truck off again and then turn it back on and then I was able to go into drive and sit on the side of the road. Meanwhile I can smell like this burning smell. Now this had happened 2 days after they came out to supposedly fix the recall that was on the truck. I didn’t work the next day after they came out to fit it at my job but driving home that day it drove sort of ok I felt a little lack of going into gear. When I went to work it did a hard jerk while driving like if the transmission was going to fall out. I parked at work for my 10 hour shift and when I went to go home I turned on my truck and out it into drive and it went into reverse. Thankfully I was in park and no cars was behind me. I called ford to tell them what had happened after they came and fix it and they told me it was not part of the recall. But yet when I looked up the recall when my insurance let me know if it people was saying they was having issues going into gears and possibly stalling. This is a serious matter and they keep brushing it off and telling me that I need to pay them to look at it. I don’t feel I need to pay if it is their mistake. I took it to my warranty company and they tried to fix it and found nothing on their end. At this point I gor into almost 5accident

Water gets into the truck from the front windshield. The water is leaking or getting into the cab of the truck on the passenger side of the truck. I have talked to an auto windshield replacement company about this issue, and I was told that it is a known issue with the 2016 to 2025 Ford trucks. I was told that the leak is happening because of the body seam sealant from the Ford factory was not properly done. Some of the trucks are showing up with larger than normal gaps in the panels. This has been happening for the life of the vehicle.

I own a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning that is subject to an active safety recall involving electrical components and exterior lighting (potential water intrusion leading to lighting failure, including rear/reverse lamps). I was notified of the recall around October/2025 and contacted a Ford dealer shortly after. The dealer confirmed the recall is active but stated that no remedy is available. I have followed up multiple times with both the dealer and Ford corporate, and as of today, there is still no repair available and no timeline has been provided. This has persisted for approximately 6 months. Ford communicated a fix in Q1 of 2026. This defect affects critical lighting and electrical systems necessary for safe operation and visibility. Operating the vehicle under these conditions presents a safety risk. Despite this, Ford has not provided a repair, interim solution, or clear guidance. Due to the unresolved recall, I have been unable to reasonably use the vehicle. The vehicle is also used for business purposes, resulting in financial loss. I continue to incur a monthly loan obligation of approximately $2,000 while the vehicle remains effectively unusable. Ford has not offered a loaner vehicle, compensation, or alternative remedy. Complaint with Ford CXXX was submitted, with stated return calls, my repeated follow-ups, and no resolution. I am submitting this complaint to document that the manufacturer has issued a safety recall but has failed to provide a timely remedy, leaving the vehicle unusable and creating ongoing safety concerns and financial harm. Sudden transmission downshifts to 1st gear during highway speeds. My truck wasn’t included in transmission recalls by ford. This problem is known but ford won’t replace. The downshift happens without warning. No engine lights or messages appear before or after the downshift. The transmission shifts harsh no matter what - this has been confirmed by multiple mechanics and the mechanics say it’s a known issue with this year transmission - 18’ - 10R80
