I have incidents where my vehicle will downshift or upshift erratically causing my truck to jerk and cause unsafe road conditions. For example when going somewhere or driving in traffic, I can come to a stop and the truck will downshift so quickly and jerk to the point to where it increases idle and I'm worried it's going to cause me to hit another car on the road and cause an accident. Very unsafe

Ford f150 10 speed transmission failure, third replacement of defective oil pan, and replacement defective rear main seal. Transmission was taken for service/repair while still under warranty. Local dealer advised problem not found. Hard shifts and skipped shifts persisted until recently I had to pay for tranny rebuild and third replacement of defective oil pan. FORD should have to reimburse me for these repairs. It is a known fact that ford knew about this problem for years and has had thousands of complaints.

Transmission failed Transmission locks up slamming vehicle to a stop. transmission sometimes will not change gears and go into neutral when driving down highway. Dealer has confirmed problem and stated that ford knows that it has a faulty CDF drum in transmission. there were not any warning lights before this started occurring.

My 2019 FORD 150 ALWAYS HAS 5969200 MILES ON IT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, IT SLIPS OUT OF GEAR OR DOWNSHIFTS, CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS RECALL NUMBER 26V375000 BUT FORD TELLS ME IT DOESN'T COVER IT, AND THERE'S NO RECALL FOR MY TRUCK FOR THIS PROBLEM, AT 59000 MILES, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. I THINK THE RECALL IS FOR SOME KIND OF MODULAR THAT CAUSES IT TO DOWNSHIFT. I JUST HAD IT IN THE SHOP TODAY.THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER.DID NOT HELP IT 711.00 LATER, IT'S STILL DOING IT. SO I HAVE A FORTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR TRUNK THAT I CAN'T DRIVE.PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS

I suspect a CDF Clutch Drum sleeve migration. This is a notorious manufacturing defect in 2017-2020 1080 units. The truck just passed the 60,000 mile power train warranty. A 2020 4x4 Sport is a highly sought-after, higher-trim truck. I invested heavily in a premium vehicle and expected it to last well past 65,000 miles. My truck is at the group 1 ford dealership in Shreveport and the service manager stated I need a new transmission. Quoted $8,800. I can not afford this and would like it to be covered for helped paid for. The service manager told me to call customer service at ford and ask for a goodwill case stating these transmissions are in a lawsuit currently and ford made a replacement part for the specific transmission. The cdf drum. The truck up and down shifts while driving down the road randomly and is a safety concern. Hard shifting between 1-3 and 4-6 speed. The 10 speed transmission

Vehicle is experiencing severe, dangerous transmission malfunctions matching Ford Safety Recall 26S28 / NHTSA 26V237. Multiple times while cruising at highway speeds, the vehicle has abruptly downshifted into 2nd or 3rd gear without warning, causing violent engine revving, sudden loss of forward momentum, and severe steering wheel shaking. These incidents occurred in rainy, low-visibility environments. The vehicle is primarily driven by my wife with our [XXX] granddaughter inside. A sudden drop to 2nd gear at highway speeds in low-traction conditions creates an immediate, catastrophic risk of a high-speed rear-end collision or loss of control. On Wed [XXX], we took the truck to Hubler Ford (Shelbyville, IN). The service department officially diagnosed the vehicle and acknowledged the malfunctions are caused by Recall 26S28. However, they refused to repair it because they are "waiting on a software code" from Ford corporate, estimating a delay until mid-July 2026. They refused to provide a safe loaner, forcing us to drive an actively malfunctioning vehicle. On 6/18/26, I called Ford National Customer Service to escalate this safety issue and request an interim rental. The Ford rep contacted Hubler Ford but failed to authorize a rental. Instead, Ford corporate placed me back in a customer service loop, telling me to discuss symptoms with the dealer again, even though the dealer already officially diagnosed the defect. This loop has caused numerous 20+ min holds with no one addressing the issue. Both Ford and Hubler Ford are refusing to provide intermediate safe transportation for an officially diagnosed, severely malfunctioning safety-recall vehicle, leaving a toddler exposed to a severe highway crash hazard. The transmission in my f150 sometimes will down shift harshly when coming to a stop causing a sudden jolt that is very alarming. This does not happen very often. What is very consistent are these two symptoms. During acceleration it shifts very hard going to 3rd to 5th, skipping 4th all together. When accelerating up to highway speeds and merging the shift from 7th to 8th is delayed, and the engine RPMS spike. The inconsistency in the acceleration makes me wary that an unalert driver may rear end me.

- #11745004June 18, 2026ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, POWER TRAIN
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly decelerated, the tires were dragging, and the engine temperature was high. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact's father performed a diagnostic scan on the vehicle and retrieved a diagnostic trouble code indicating a PCM and engine cooling system failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the coolant hose was replaced, and coolant was added to the vehicle; however, the failure recurred while leaving the dealer 5 minutes later, and the vehicle failed to exceed 10 MPH. The vehicle was driven back to the dealer, and it was determined that the coolant temperature sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure might be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

- #11745066June 18, 2026EXTERIOR LIGHTING
2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, VIN [XXX], 42,370 mi. The rear light bar has microcracks allowing moisture intrusion. Water droplets are visible inside the red lens across the tailgate and inside the white reverse lamp (photos attached, taken 5/30/2026). This is the warning condition named in recall 25SB6 (NHTSA 25V731) and predecessor 23S30 (NHTSA 23V418): water droplets in the lightbar outer lens, which can cause inoperative or flickering reverse lamps. On 6/15/2026 I took the truck to Koons Baltimore Ford, 6970 Security Blvd, Baltimore MD 21244, Advisor Rahim King, RO [XXX]. The dealer's own repair order Line B states: RECALL 25SB6 REVERSING LAMP INSPECTION, VERIFIED OPEN RECALL, at $0 warranty pay. After verifying the open recall on this VIN, the dealer still refused to replace the moisture-failed light bar under the recall. Instead, they have charged me $190 customer-pay to check and advise on water in the red bar and white reverse light, the identical defect the recall fixes for free. The dealer also tried to bill my third-party extended service plan and told me to file an auto insurance claim. All three are improper: a federal recall remedy must be provided free by the manufacturer (49 USC 30120), not charged to the customer, an insurer, or a service contract. SAFETY RISK: A truck backing up without working reverse lamps is more likely to strike a pedestrian or a child below the driver's sightline, since others are not alerted the vehicle is reversing. Reverse lamps are federally required. This failure can result in serious injury or death. REQUEST: Please document (1) the recurring light bar moisture and reverse-lamp defect, (2) the dealer's refusal to remedy a verified open recall free of charge, (3) the improper $190 diagnostic charge, and (4) attempts to shift recall cost to the customer, a service contract, and auto insurance. I can provide RO [XXX] and photos. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2016 Ford F-150 (VIN [XXX]) experienced an intermittent failure involving the transmission range sensor system. While driving, the vehicle displayed a check engine light and a “See Service Manual” message. The truck became noticeably underpowered. When shifted into Reverse, the transmission engaged harshly and the PRNDL (gear position indicator) disappeared from the instrument cluster. The backup camera also became inoperative. After shutting the vehicle off, it would not restart. Electrical accessories and the instrument cluster remained functional, but the engine would not crank. After sitting for a period of time, the vehicle eventually restarted and the PRNDL display returned. The same failure occurred on three separate occasions within approximately 24 hours, including while arriving at a Ford dealership for service. The failure creates a safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly become unable to start, loses indication of the selected gear, and may experience transmission-related issues while being operated. The vehicle is currently unreliable for transportation and could leave occupants stranded. An independent repair facility scanned the vehicle and documented DTCs P0706 (Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance), P0707 (Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit Low), P1702 (Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Intermittent), and P1921 (Transmission Range Signal). The vehicle is included in Ford Safety Recall 26S28 involving 2015-2017 F-150 vehicles equipped with the 6R80 transmission. A Ford dealership inspected the vehicle and advised that the concern appears related to the transmission range sensor/lead frame issue associated with the pending recall. However, the dealership advised that a repair cannot currently be submitted because the recall remedy has not yet been activated. The vehicle had approximately 124,000 miles at the time of failure. The problem and or issue on my 2021 Ford F150 is the Day Running light on the Upper Passenger side went out and does not work anymore. I reported it to the Dealer. I believe it to be a safety issue if all Day Running lights are not fully operational. This happened with about 66,026 miles on my vehicle.

Today 6/18/2026 I was stopped at a stoplight and the engine cut off as if often does and when the light changed and I stepped on the gas instead of restarting the car went into park and remained off until I restarted the truck. This is similar to the safety issue built into the truck if stopped and the front door is opened the truck automatically goes into park. This is the second time it has happened in the past year- the truck being stopped at a light and the engine stops running and when I step on the gas instead of restarting it has gone into park.
