Hello, I recently brought my 2014 Ford F-150 (VIN: [XXX]) to the dealership regarding Recall 24S37. The vehicle experienced the following symptoms: • Check Engine Light illuminated. • Wrench Light illuminated. • Intermittent loss of power. • Abnormal transmission behavior. • Intermittent no-start condition. • Vehicle would only start after moving the gear selector. The dealership informed me that no physical repairs would be performed because the diagnostic trouble codes retrieved were different from those associated with Recall 24S37. However, the vehicle continues to exhibit transmission-related symptoms, and I am concerned that the underlying condition may be related to or aggravated by the conditions addressed in Recall 24S37. I am requesting that Ford review this case and determine whether additional diagnostic evaluation or repairs should be considered. However, they refuse to accept that the codes have anything to do with the recall, even though it is the same part and the affected sensor that is triggering the error codes on the scanner. They are asking me to pay for the transmission repair because the codes are not the ones approved for the recall, but based on the signs and symptoms the truck is showing, it is a chain reaction that triggered the previously mentioned failures. Thank you INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the rear axle hub bolt had fractured on three separate occasions while driving. The contact stated that there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the rear hubcap, followed by a rear-end fluid leak prior to each failure. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The dealer replaced the driver’s and passenger’s side rear axles under warranty twice. Following the most recent failure, the owner received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); but was informed that parts for the repair were on back order. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The contact attempted to notify the manufacturer several times via phone and email, but received no response. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 26,095.

- #11745953June 23, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Adaptive cruise control applies brakes at varied levels from light to full stop when passing vehicles on the left in an open highway setting when no vehicle is present ahead. Speed range is approx 65-75mph. Other conditions are Interstate highway open road, sunny to partly cloudy, and problem occurs when passing and a longer vehicle (CL8 or other vehicle with trailer is present on the right), no other unusual or notable conditions can be remembered at this time. Other vehicles following in trail were often surprised and required immediate throttle engagement to prevent collision from following vehicles. Not all unexpected brake events produced a warning, however it appears that full brake events a pre-collision warning did appear. 3 attempts were made but dealer was not able (authorized by OEM) to perform extended drive cycles. On 4th attempt claim was stored code was found and multiple components were replaced. However, problem reoccurred in a subsequent highway trip, and there was a clear degradation of the LKA accuracy, as the LKA would no longer keep lane center and would not correct of provide departure warning until on top of after crossing lane line markings. Additionally "hands on wheel" warning would appear even though hands were on the steering wheel at the time. The vehicle is now at the dealer for the 5th attempt at diagnosis and repair. The dealer and OEM claim that installing a data logger is not possible, which I find difficult to agree with as there are clear parameters to measure and tripper a recorded event.

My 2020 Ford F150 was diagnosed by a shop to have the well known CDF drum issue. This issue is very expensive to repair and have experienced several safety concerns while conducting daily drives to and from work or other locations nearby. The transmission will not allow you to accelerate while on the freeway making it impossible to merge safely out of the way or even just get up to speed safely. The truck will flare up in RPM but will not accelerate or shift into the next gear. Once it does it will do it very violently.

My 2013 Ford F-150 (VIN: [XXX]) suffered a catastrophic rear-wheel lockup while traveling at highway speeds, mimicking a sudden, unprompted hard braking event. The vehicle's speedometer dropped to zero and the dashboard went blank. A certified Ford dealership has just scanned the vehicle and pulled Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0722, confirming an Output Shaft Speed sensor/molded leadframe failure under Ford TSB 16-0008. Federal records confirm there are 0 unrepaired recalls on this VIN because Safety Recall 19S07 (NHTSA Campaign 19V-075) was completed two months ago. The software-only recall remedy completely failed to prevent this life-threatening transmission lockup. Ford Corporate (Case #[XXX]) and the dealership are refusing to replace the defective hardware due to mileage, despite the fact that a federally mandated safety recall remedy failed to secure the vehicle. "Safety Recall 19S07 was completed by an authorized Ford dealer two months ago, but following today's highway lockup incident, a different, separate Ford dealership officially scanned the vehicle and retrieved Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0722, confirming a complete recall remedy failure." The brake line on the front passenger side was rubbing and failed. We were put at risk because the brakes lost fluid. We have had 4 identical vehicles with the same issue, 3 failed and 1 was replaced before failure. Not to my knowledge has it been inspected other than a dealership and tech. There were no warning lights.

This vehicle received a PCM update performed in strict accordance with Ford service procedures, per TSB/SSMO No. 24E12, on 1/02/26. At the time of the update, no stored or pending diagnostic trouble codes related to catalyst efficiency were present, and the vehicle was operating as designed. Pre- and post-update scan data has been retained and is available upon request. Approximately 100 miles after the recalibration, the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was returned for service within 500 miles, at which point a DTC P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) was confirmed as a mature two-trip fault. This condition was not present — and had not been detected — during the vehicle's prior 134088 miles of operation, which includes no history of catalyst-related codes. The immediate onset of this fault following the PCM recalibration strongly indicates that the updated calibration altered system monitoring thresholds in a manner that directly triggered this code. This presentation is inconsistent with an ordinary mechanical failure. The most reasonable conclusion is that the fault is either calibration-induced or that the prior calibration's monitoring parameters were insufficient to detect a borderline condition that the updated calibration now flags. In either case, the root cause is directly traceable to a Ford-mandated software update — not to customer neglect, abuse, or normal wear.

Truck has reoccurring issue of shifting from 10 to 1 at highway speeds causing me to shift into neutral as to not WRECK. No check engine light or trans light, which makes proving it to dealer is impossible. Only happens once every few months. Through forscan I can see the OSS speed sensor drops voltage briefly then regains voltage. This is a very expensive yet very dangerous truck and ford needs to be held accountable before someone dies....

While driving at 55mph in normal traffic, the transmission downshifted from 10th to 3rd gear, then shifted to neutral, then back to 10th gear. While the transmission was hunting I had to brake and pull onto the shoulder to keep from getting rear ended. Once the transmission figured out what gear to be in, I continued to drive the truck home. It has remained parked in the driveway since due to unknown reliability.

While accelerating onto the interstate, the vehicle suddenly downshifted into limp mode and the repair wrench showed on the screen. Fortunately, it was late at night as I was traveling and there were no vehicles behind me. This occurred 4 days after getting my vehicle back from having the oil pan replaced. It didn't happen again until a month later, when it occurred 3 times in 2 days before I stopped driving it. The dealer says it is a lead frame issue that had a previous recall; 19N01. The dealer also says that this recall is closed. My vehicle had less than 101k miles on it when the problem began.

I am writing to formally report a concern regarding excessive rear brake wear on my 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning. My vehicle currently has approximately 21,000 miles, and I have been informed that the rear brake pads and/or rotors require replacement significantly earlier than would be expected under normal driving conditions. Given that the F-150 Lightning utilizes regenerative braking technology, I expected brake component wear to be substantially reduced compared to conventional vehicles. Vehicle Information: Owner: [XXX] Model: 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 21,000 miles Selling/Servicing Dealer: Shultz Ford Date of Purchase: December 2023 I am concerned that the level of rear brake wear may indicate a defect, design issue, or improper brake system operation. I respectfully request that Ford review this matter and determine whether this condition is covered under warranty, subject to a Technical Service Bulletin, or associated with any known issues affecting this model. Please advise what diagnostic steps Ford recommends and whether assistance with repair costs may be available. I would also appreciate information regarding any similar complaints, investigations, or known issues related to excessive rear brake wear on the 2023 F-150 Lightning. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and a timely resolution of this concern.
