- #11749840July 12, 2026POWER TRAIN, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving in Sport mode on an interstate, during descending downhill, the transmission started down shifting. At that time near the bottom of the hill was standing water on an area. It was suddenly like hitting the brakes & I hydroplaned, but luckily I never touched the brakes. The down shifting at the same time as hitting the water caused the vehicle to loose control of the road. Luckily I regained control by steering and did not wreck. There should be a safety warning on this issue or a correction in the vehicle down shifting

The brakes on my Ford f150 failed and I took it to a shop and found out that the master cylinder had failed and all the brake fluid was being pumped into the brake booster.I had the master cylinder and the booster replaced for $ 926.00 dollars. There was a recall for this problem but it ended with trucks that were made thru August 31,2013 my truck was made September 12 ,2013 only 12 days after the recall ended. My truck experienced the same failure as the trucks that were recalled

Drive a 2020 Ford f150 with a 2.7 l. XLT with a a 10r80 transmission. I was getting on the highway. Got up to 70 75 mph didn't make it very far and my transmission jerked real hard shut me forward and I hit the steering wheel and broke a tooth and it went from 70 to 75 mph down to zero from top gears all the way to one and now it won't go past 7th gear on the highway and if it does it's either at a slight downhill or level roadway and I might make it into 8th or 9th. But to continue with forward celeration to keep current speed, it stays in seven gear running at high RPMs and Ford won't do nothing about it because it's not on a recall list and I contacted Ford corporate and filed with them. Heard nothing filed with my Ford dealership that's in town for them to file it with Ford and nothing and Ford won't do their job to fix the problem that's been going on with the 10 already transmissions and the vehicle is not safe to operate or drive and it's my only vehicle and it puts me at risk driving it for my life. And with it being a safety concern, Dave won't do anything about it and I don't have $10 to $20,000 for them to replace the transmission and the labor and all that

I am writing to inform you that I have received my 2025 Ford F-150 back from the Steivers Ford dealership in Union City after the reported repairs were completed. Unfortunately, the vehicle still has a severe shake and vibration while driving. In fact, the condition is now worse than it was when I originally brought the vehicle in for service. After being without my truck for an extended period while repairs were performed, I am extremely disappointed that the underlying issue has not been resolved. This ongoing defect continues to affect the drivability of the vehicle and has significantly impacted my confidence in its safety and reliability. At this point, I would like to understand what Ford’s next steps are to permanently resolve this issue. Multiple repair attempts have not corrected the problem, and I do not believe it is reasonable to continue experiencing the same—or worse—condition after such extensive repairs. Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss how Ford intends to move forward. I am looking for a prompt and lasting resolution.

- #11749740July 11, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I'm not sure what failed but a Google search with symptoms tells me it's a "throttle-by-wire" malfunction. The F150 truck accelerates immediately and aggresively to full throttle when I floor the gas peddle to merge traffic on freeways. It continues at full throttle regardless what I do. Braking gives a pop up window on the dash that reads "Brake Applied Power Reduced", and the brakes do slow the vehicle and even stop it but the engine revs at full throttle. This occurred the day I bought it driving home from dealership, testing it, I floored the gas peddle while on the freeway to see how it performs accelerating while passing other vehicles. It took over that day, I thought it had somehow activated Cruise Control being a new vehicle and me unfamiliar with operations, I would figure that out later and forgot. I pulled over that day, killed engine, restarted and it was fine. It repeated this malfunction two maybe three other times since that first day. Yesterday, XXX, would be the third or fouth time it has occurred and it wouldn't correct. I pulled over three times, put it in Park and it reved full throttle, killed it, waited two minutes, restarted and it went to full throttle. It is parked in my driveway and will accelerate to full throttel immediately even in Park. I am going to have it towed this morning, XXX to Brinson Ford in [XXX]. Therefore, a dealer has yet to look at it or try and reproduce problem. The first occurrence was the day I bought it which was September 12, 2025. Dealer identified Water intrusion into the rear wiring, harnesses is causing corrosion in the PIN connectors, which therefore leads to flickering tail lights which could be mis interpreted as braking or a turning. I also experienced random acceleration from slow speeds and a failure to decelerate. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

my 6 speed transmition started shifting erratically. i took it to ford dealership and they did a pcm software download recall and it didnt help. the technition said he drove it and put on the wokorder. no codes stored issue not in leadframe. 1no codes stored to replace leadframe. transmition not shifting properly, most likely cause is internal clutch burnt. i asked what my next thing to do was and she said they would only change the transmition at my cost. this truck is shiftng in 5th and keeps shifting ranomly without showing on the gear panel. it does the same in 6th gear. between 4th and 5th it shifts real hard. all the symtoms of the lead frame recall and they said they wont touch it unless i put a new transmition in.

A very weird chirping noise; really bad when I start truck then it calms down but I can hear it while driving. I took it to my auto mechanic shop & they said both exhaust manifolds are warped & need replacing. I bought this truck January of 2020 & I’ve spent a small fortune on it. I owned a Chevrolet Silverado for 14 years & never had issues like this truck has had. After researching info it appears this is an ongoing issue with these trucks. Ford should be responsible!!

COMPONENT; likely the transmission SAFETY revs went to almost zero on highway. Transmission seemed to stop the truck. Then intermittent on and off transmission. Seriously struggled to get the truck off the highway momentarily no ability to control speed: then on and off with the acceleration. Very scary! sudden drop in speed on the highway could have caused an accident with no brake lights on Problem been reproduced: Not to my knowledge. its at a dealer now. Not safe to drive BEEN INSPECTED: At dealer now Prior warning - lamps etc: NONE WHATSOEVER Oil lamp came on, then the check engine light came on well after the initial scare.

The truck exhibited the abrupt downshifting upon driving out of the parking lot, this caused great stress and possible accidents to me and family. The transmission continued to get worse and we were in fear of our lives to drive the vehicle on the highway. Once we got the vehicle home it literally would not shift into gear and has been disabled since the first week in XXX. We are plumbing and heat contractors and have lost a great deal of business due to not having a truck/this truck to use for work. We had it towed to Greico Ford in [XXX] on advice from Keith, the Service Mgr. We know the recall is due in XXX. This dealership is now trying to tell us that all the hoses are damaged and wants to charge us $2,000 to repair the hoses. We obviously don't want to do this since we believe the violent jarring and downshifting of the transmission caused by this MFG defect probably caused this and a lot more other problems. MFG Recall #26S28, NHTSA Recall# 26V237. I need to know when this recall remedy will be submitted and what are my rights to get this fixed?
