I attempted to schedule the fix for this recall and Ford is saying they will not fix unless the axel bolt has already failed. I read the recall notice as Ford will fix the axel regardless if is has failed or not.

Stereo blasted static at full volume at decibels dangerously exceeding healthy limits while driving and would not turn off. Had to stop the vehicle and turn off in the middle of the road. Sound was so loud that my hearing was impacted and there is now ringing in both ears. If children were present, it would have been devastating. I was stuck in the middle of the road while traffic routed around my vehicle. If this happens to someone else, the noise/volume is so disorienting it could cause involuntary breaking or steering, resulting in a car accident. Please help, this is unacceptable.

While at idle with a hot engine, the vehicle will intermittently shudder and stall. Once a check engine light appeared with the vault being cam shaft sensor. The check engine light has not reappeared to assist a mechanic as to the specific fault. The engine still has an idle issue which seems to be common with this engine and model year according to auto forums I have visited.

We were driving on the highway when the truck starting jerking/shuttering and losing power. The wrench light came on, we put on the hazard lights and limped off the nearest exit.

The saggy diaper is a hazard and major manufacturer defect that must be corrected ASAP. It needs to be metal period the end. The paper like cover bolted on the undercarriage is an awful engineering hazard. I have changed this item four times. The dealerships well established pattern of services for this issue and Google searches speak for themselves. I don’t know why Ford refuses to address this concern and blow me off.

Daytime running lamp burnt out on passenger side. Coincidentally, right after the vehicle was in for a parking lamp recall. There are 34,900 miles and I’m just shy of a month out of my 3 year warranty. $1700 for a new headlight at owners expense is ridiculous and this is a common issue on these trucks.

Truck Shifts from 6th gear to 1st gear at freeway speeds. This only takes place for a matter of seconds and then shift back to 6th gear. During down shift all throttle response is gone and then regains throttle as if it was resetting. My fear is its going to happen and lock up the truck causing a major accident. I recently had the trucks transmission serviced (Fluid, filter and flushed) thinking old fluid may be causing the issue. But sadly the problem is still there with nothing looking broke or out of place according to FORD. Then today i find my trucks year is apart of a Investigation opened into nearly 1.3 million Ford F-150 trucks over unexpected gear shifts [XXX] . This is a major safe concern not to mention very expensive repair,. Looks like ford is back to old ways, this similar Problem was in the 2012-14 model I believe and eventually ford recalled the vehicles. Now i ask what about the rest of us???? My airbag warning light came on. The dealer found 2 codes and replaced the parts. When they were done another code came up for weight sensor which is the seat frame. I was told that the part has been discontinued. I have searched for an aftermarket part with no luck. I purchased a used seat but it was not compatible I have a16 year old truck. The service life is as I understand it is 14-20 years. I don’t understand how the manufacturer can stop making safety parts while the vehicle is still in its service life

Plastic two piece oil pan installed by factory with insufficient RTV resulting in a significant oil leak and possible fire potential as run back of oil reaches exhaust components. Vehicle is well kept and serviced regularly with less than 100k miles. Vehicle is out of warranty and down time is several days for a fix that results in using the same plastic oil pan with an estimate of $1200. Unfortunately this same oil pan will result in a similar leak in the future if fixed. Aftermarket aluminum options are available which result in a much better sealing surface. FORD please fix this issue. Oil leaking from pan first noticed during stops at red lights while idling and smelling burning oil thru vents. Ford dealer confirmed oil pan leak and suggested immediate replacement.

Transmission shifts hard and erratic at times. Error code p076f. Tech came out to our house to reprogram the vehicle was told to drive it for 50 to 80 miles for new program to take effect, and if it continued to act erratic take it to the dealer for service. Upon taking it to the dealer and a general check to verify he vehicle still had issues we were told we had to pay a service tech to investigate the issue further and they were certain that the repairs wouldnt be covered under any recall. They also closed out the recall that we had as repaired when it obviously was not. It seems ford has a major issue with all of the recalls I keep seeing pop up in news articles and they are trying to keep from fixing the issue.so much for safety and integrity of building great American vehicles.

- #11662884May 23, 2025SERVICE BRAKES
My 2023 F150 has been having issues with the key fob connecting to the vehicle and responding to commands (unlock/lock, remote start etc). On the date of this incident the truck was not responding to the remote start key fob function. While standing outside the vehicle from a distance of about 10 feet I attempted the remote start function with no success approximately five times. On the last attempt I heard the audible sound of the parking brake releasing (moving from the “brake on” mode to the “brake off” mode). Once inside the vehicle I confirmed that the parking brake had been released. I was ultimately able to get the truck started and driving in a normal condition. The parking brake has not malfunctioned since. The key fob / truck connection continues to malfunction to various degrees. Sometimes no response, sometimes no remote start, sometimes the truck will be running and display a dashboard message indicating the key fob is not present leaving the truck running but “locked” in park. During this parking brake incident the vehicle was parked and locked with the parking brake set as normal (on or about May 10 , 2025). It was on level ground in a parking lot. No other vehicles were parked near mine. It was morning time, the truck was “cold” after being parked all night. No other unusual condition were noted. Weather conditions were dry and mild (50 degree temperatures). The remote connection issues have been going on about 6-8 months. I have replaced the battery in the remote 2x with no improvement. The vehicle has been inspected by the selling dealer once for the fob with no results (April 17, 2025). I have an appointment for the latest issues on June 2 2025. It is my belief that the random release of the parking brake system poses a risk for myself and other members of the public that may be injured by a sudden “roll away” of this vehicle by parking brake failure. I am in possession of the vehicle and it’s available for inspection. .
