The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the mileage was 110,458 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 174,000.

Ford issued recall 24E12 for a PCM reprogramming for my 2018 Ford F-150 for an emissions issue. A dealership completed the recall on 4/15/25. Approximately one month later, check engine light comes on and dealership now says we need a new catalytic converter. Upon research, this exact issue has been happening with many others who did the reprogramming.

SERVICE BRAKES
My Vehicle has 116,000 miles and the CPU/ ABS Unit is not working. I took it to a Ford Dealership and they said the part alone is $3,000.00 . I feel although the vehicle is 12 years old it has low mileage and I feel that a part of this type should not malfunction. I would like Ford to pay for this repair and how many other F-150’s are out there experiencing this same problem? Could you please investigate this problem. I still have bakes but the ABS and Down hill slope assist is not working. All the brake lights come on ABS, Down Hill Slope Assist, and the brake line. The warning light and bells come on within a few hundred feet when moving. I had the vehicle inspected by a local Ford Dealership and they informed me the ABS unit needs replaced. This has been happening since April of this year 2025.

I was driving my vehicle at approximately 70mph and the vehicle suddenly downshifted into a low gear (i believe 1st) causing tires to lockup. I was able to maintain control of the vehicle. Within 5 miles of driving it, the transmission was acting erractic. Was brought to local mechanic and it was determined the transmission is now shot this incident.

This vehicle was purchased by a friend with the factory tow package. No modifications were made before my purchase three years ago. I installed a factory brake controller for a travel trailer I purchased. The software was enabled with Forscan, and the dealer updated the software to the latest available. Even with a new seven way plug, the truck displays "trailer disconnected" when using the slide brake and also never shows any output when braking. The brakes do engage but very mildly. The travel trailer brakes normally on my other vehicle. There are no fault codes and no obvious connection issues. The dealership today said they do no know the cause and would likely be unable to resolve it.

I was driving to work and when coming to the parking structure making a right hand turn my steering wheel locked up on me and on the dash Hill Descent Control Fault and Service AdvancedTrac came on the dash. I towed it home and the steering wheel is completely locked.

Loss on all braking systems. Multiple warning lights including on dash. Brakes will become spongy and not stop or lock up all 4 wheels at slightest touch. Taken to dealer who provided a service memo SSM 53683 which basically says vehicle unable to power down and no fix available. Ford is aware of the problem and has done nothing to fix this despite multiple phone calls and emails. This is a significant safety issue Vehicle is also brand new will less than 1000 miles on it

When driving my vehicle it would keep slipping out of gear and sometimes just stopping forward motion. Scaring the heck out of myself and my wife. I never knew when this might happen so I took it in and it was diagnosed and was told that it was jumping out of 2nd and 4th gear I believe. This vehicle only had approximately 45000miles onit. They told me I had two choices replace with rebuilt transmission or a new one I chose the new one . 8000. That was a shock considering I believe these should had covered it considering the mileage on it . Anyway that’s my complaint. Thank you

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
Thank you for a chance to file this information. The cruise speed control and lane keeping systems are not working consistently and properly. They fail every week when tested. So far - the dealer-warranty fixes have not been the remedy needed. The cruise control system on steeper slopes doesn't provide braking to stay at the set speed - and at times it doesn't provide any braking resistance - so the vehicle takes off full speed with gravity. The lane keeping system doesn't provide consistent drivers' assistance to prevent departing the lane - even with new/freshly painted center-lanes/side of the road lanes.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission shifts from 10th gear to 1st when I’m going 70mph. Then it leaves me with no throttle control. If I get to 7th gear and approach a stop sign, it will stay in 7th gear and I can’t accelerate until it shifts down to 4th, to 1st, then back up to 3rd. It’s extremely dangerous, I can’t drive like it’s a normal car
