BACKUP CAMERA ONLY WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. MOST OF THE TIME THE DISPLAY JUST SAYS "REAR CAMERA UNAVAILABLE," SOMETIMES JUST A BLUE SCREEN, AND OCCASIONALLY WILL DISPLAY THE IMAGE BRIEFLY, THEN GO BLUESCREEN/CAMERA UNAVAILABLE. TURNING IGNITION OFF, THEN RESTARTING MAY RESET CAMERA AND BRIEFLY DISPLAY THE IMAGE, THEN BLUESCREEN/UNAVAILABLE AGAIN.

My 2019 F150 has issues with both the cam phasers and the transmission. Every time I turn on my truck I get the ford “cold start rattle” because defective parts from the factory that ford has known were defective and later fixed but for some reason my truck was not in the recall. My truck came off the same assembly line and time period of previous CSP or recall programs but my vin was never included. My truck also has 60,000 miles and the 10 speed transmission clunks all the time. I’m not sure if it’s missing shifts or what is breaking but everyone with a f150 around this year knows they are common to have transmission issues. Sometimes my truck doesn’t find the proper gear getting started and will rev high and barely move until it finally gets shift right and gets moving. These 2019 F150 issues are far too common i see them all across the blogs and internet and know a few other owners who have similar issues.

While driving down the road the transmission in the truck made a load noise and now the truck will no shift properly. Because of this I could have been hit from behind by another truck by the sudden shifing problems from the transmission. This truck has jumped in reverse before and has had transmission problems ford has refused to adress. This is the second powertrain problem to happen in this vehicle going down the road.

While driving my 2023 Ford F-150 XLT through a parking lot at low speed, I attempted to stop and shift into reverse to avoid a tight turn between parked vehicles. With my foot firmly on the brake, I shifted into reverse—though the gear shift was abnormally resistant. The system indicated the vehicle was in reverse. Despite keeping my foot on the brake, the truck suddenly and forcefully accelerated on its own, overriding my braking input. It collided with two parked vehicles before I was able to bring it to a stop by turning off the engine. The vehicle continued to accelerate even while I applied firm pressure to the brake pedal, which depressed all the way to the floor and failed to stop the truck. At no point did I press the gas pedal. After impact, the gear shift remained in reverse with a blinking red light. No airbags deployed. This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have seriously injured someone had they been standing nearby. Additionally, for some time leading up to the incident, I noticed increasing difficulty shifting gears even with the brake fully depressed. At times when in park the light for other gear modes would turn on. Indicating the vehicle may be in another mode other than park. The brake pedal has also felt inconsistent, often requiring unusually deep and forceful pressure to stop, whether on highways, city streets, or in parking lots. This appears to be a critical failure of both the braking and transmission systems. I am extremely concerned for my safety and that of other Ford drivers. I am requesting a formal investigation into this matter

Bought new a year and a half ago, has a severe leak from the passenger side windshield/cowl area that pours into AC box and then saturates the floor. This is a safety issue as you can smell a burnt/we wire smell and the incoming water saturates critical wiring, and is nearby airbag wiring. Vehicle in question has only been owned for a year and a half (of 3 year warranty) but any warranty repairs are being refused as it is 2500 miles outside of comprehensive warranty. However, this is not believed to be due to a component that failed due to mileage but rather a manufacturing defect/quality control in the windshield or cowl seal.

Jan 2025 bought a 2022 Ford F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost with 10 speed transmission with 32,000 miles on the transmission started going out around 35,000 miles as it was shaking, shuttering, and hesitating. Took it to one dealership they had it for a couple of weeks and couldn’t figure it out and said it was normal. I told them it’s not safe to drive with as bad as the hesitation was. Decided to go to another dealership they figured out the problem fixed and got it fixed. Drove it for a week starting have issues with it shaking between gears 7-10 with the smell of burning transmission fluid in the cabin. Took it back to the dealer they had it for 3 weeks drove the truck and felt the issue I explained but told me they couldn’t fix the problem and there is nothing they can do right now. During the time of going between dealerships got in contact with Ford they made a case against the truck but have not got involved with fixing the problem. All of this does not include the 2020 F150 Lariat 3.5 eco boost I bought at the end of 23’ with 38,000 miles and at 45000 miles had Transmission issues and had to be rebuilt but never got fixed correctly so ended up having to trade it in with all of the other issues with that truck. Ford denied the buyback I applied for and refuses to fix the problem. This is a very big problem as this has been going on for a while with Fords 10 speed transmission.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was idling very rough. Additionally, the contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, with the fuel gauge indicating 20-miles to empty, the contact was unable to properly place the nozzle into the fuel filler neck, causing fuel to spill from the vehicle. This 2014 pickup was started at about 8:00 AM and the manager went inside the building for a few minutes, (less than 5). A vender that was delivered petroleum product saw that the truck was smoking and on fire in the cab and he told the technicians in the shop who ran out with fire extinguishers to put the fire out. The doors had locked automatically with the keys inside the vehicle. A spare set of keys were acquired shortly and the vehicle was opened with the key. The vehicle was turned off and the hood was popped. a fire extinguisher was deployed while another technician disconnected the battery which then extinguished the fire. The heater motor had melted out of the dash and the dash had started on fire. The dealer was notified and we were told to call Ford and report to our insurance. We are self insured so there is no one to report to. There were no symptoms, problems leading up to this thermal event. The vehicle has 78,000 miles on it and is in great mechanical shape. I have reported it to Ford Motor Company and they gave me a case number [XXX] Pictures INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The 2024 f-150 3.5L Ecoboost engine has a rough idle when the truck is in park or while sitting at a stop light. At times it will come and go and others it will be a constant vibration that you can feel in the steering wheel and seat. The engine also has an acceleration hesitation right after the first start of the day and usually goes away after driving a couple of minutes.

My Ford F-150 with 5.0 V8, 10-speed automatic transmission, and only 46k miles has been diagnosed by my Ford Service Dept. (Angela Krause Ford in Alpharetta, GA) with the known 10R80 10-speed transmission issue (completely destroyed transmission and drum) and I now must receive a new one. This issue started around 43k miles, but I had no idea of the transmission design flaw that exists. While driving this Memorial Day Weekend (2025) from Atlanta to VA with my wife and twin girls, we were nearly rear ended by a tractor trailer because the transmission would not let me speed up for several seconds. It wasn’t able to select a gear. When it finally did, the tractor trailer was up to my rear bumper. This was extremely scary and could have been life threatening. There must be a recall issued for this flawed Ford transmission that is in F-150s, Explorers, etc. built before 2022. For owners of Fords that are out of warranty and are expected to pay for this repair is unacceptable. This will financially ruin many people and worse, will lead to a death or more at some point. I beg you to research and do something about this. Thank you.
