Rear view mirror camera system. The camera continuously will turn on then go to a blue screen while in reverse. It may show the rear of the truck at times but again turns back to a blue screen while reversing. It is a safety concern while reversing the vehicle.

I am made a formal demand for reimbursement of repair costs I incurred due to a known and recalled defect in my 2019 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost (VIN: [XXX] ). Ford issued an official safety recall for defective cam phasers on this vehicle, classified under NHTSA Campaign Numbers 21B10, 21N03, and 21N08. These recalls specifically addressed the cam phaser rattle and required PCM reprogramming to adjust cam phaser control strategy. Where the reprogramming failed to resolve the defect, Ford authorized full cam phaser replacement under the recall. Despite my vehicle falling squarely within the scope of these campaigns, I was forced to pay $6,908.18 out-of-pocket to have the cam phasers replaced in order to restore safe and proper operation. The defect presented a significant safety concern, and the expense was directly attributable to Ford’s failure to address this issue. I am enclosing the following documentation as evidence: •Repair invoice showing the total paid ($6,908.18) •Proof of payment (credit card receipt / cancelled check) •Vehicle registration verifying ownership •Invoice from Enterprise Rental ($1,522.69) •Proof of payment (credit card receipt) Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, state consumer protection laws, and Ford’s own recall obligations, I am entitled to reimbursement for repairs covered by a safety recall. Accordingly, I demand full reimbursement of $6,908.18 and rental car, $1,522.69 within thirty (30) days of receipt of this letter. I have reached out to Ford Motor Company on September 26, 2025 and received no response. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Truck shifts hard and loses acceleration, sporadically. Several times in the middle of left turning intersections my truck would not accelerate, nearly causing other oncoming vehicles to t-bone me. Took it to an auto shop, they stated it is a dealer repair only Took it to Ford dealer, they suspect CDF drum bushing is shifted. Quoted me $10K My truck has been parked since April 2024, I pay $650.00 a month on it and Ford refuses to assist because I was 2000 miles over my extended warranty. I paid $40K for a vehicle that I drove for 20 months until April 2024 which its been parked for 1.5 years. Fast Forward to this week when I found out there is a class action lawsuit, I called on that, they said it could take several years for resolution and I should pay for the repair. I called Ford corporate, they said because there is no recall, they cannot help.

- #11693793October 16, 2025STEERING
While driving, my 2020 Ford F-150 suddenly displayed a warning on the dashboard that read “Steering Assist Fault – Service Req’d.” Moments later, the truck completely lost power steering, and the steering wheel began to lock up while the vehicle was still in motion. I, (the owner of the vehicle), was able to muscle the steering wheel just enough to safely get us off the road and home. Had he not had the physical strength and experience to manage the vehicle manually, this could have resulted in a major accident or fatality. The truck was towed to Duval Ford on October 13, 2025, where it was diagnosed as needing an electronic power steering rack replacement, with a total repair estimate of $4,049.70. The vehicle is not under warranty, and Ford has informed us there is no recall currently associated with this issue. This is a critical safety failure of a steering system and should not be happening at any mileage. We are reporting this incident to request a formal NHTSA investigation into this issue, as it could easily lead to severe injuries or death in other cases.

- #11693814October 16, 2025EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Earlier this year, I filed NHTSA ID 11663872 when I noticed moisture collecting in the brake light assembly on my truck and Ford called this "normal", despite earlier issuing a recall for this very thing happening under NHTSA action 23V-418. Now, the brake light has failed completely, and Ford is denying coverage of this under my extended warranty with the following explanation: "your claim is denied due to water intrusion. A subject matter expert advised that Ford and Lincoln Protect will not participate in this claim as the lighting option only covers electrical failures on incandescent bulbs, halogen bulbs, High Intensity Discharge (HID) and [Light-Emitting Diode] LED lamp assemblies. A mechanical failure of a lamp assembly that allows water intrusion (fogging/moisture) is not a covered failure. A resulting electrical failure from this moisture/water would be consequential to the mechanical failure and would not be covered." Having inoperable brake lighting and possibly reverse lighting as well is an obvious danger to the public and there is no messaging system in the vehicle to tell you those components are not working properly, and clearly the previous recall campaign that replaced the lens assembly the first time did not work.

Driving at highway speed the original transmission down shifted by it self At 70 m.p.h. The truck made a clunk and skid for a few seconds, then transmission fluid started spewing all over the place. Hade too take to dealer in Mount Vernon iowa they replaced transmission at 100,053 miles. Now the remanufactured transmission from ford is doing the same thing with only around 2,000 miles on it. This time it happened I was scared that we were going to wreck. The truck actually bounced in the rear and skidded again. I think there should be something done before my self or someone else gets killed with this issue. As of now my truck is at the shop again for the transmission problem. Thanks [XXX] . Rear sliding glass window track pops loose which is extremely common with these and should be fixed by ford. I’ve had mine fixed twice already. It’s unsafe and unfair for this many customers to have this issued and ford not warranty it or recall it.

There have been multiple problems with the leadframe in the 6r80 model of transmission. I have had my speedometer go out and cause the truck to shift into 1st gear causing my wheels to lock up while im driving 60mph down the highway. Ford states on the campaign to be eligible it must be under 10 years or 150000 miles whichever comes first of the customer satisfaction program but i believe it should be considered a saftey recall. The vehicles should be eligible for this program well beyond 10 years for safety reasons. In the winter it will be even more hazardous. Myself or someone else could die due to the wheels locking up. I have researched and found many others with the same issue and this should be escalated to a proper safety recall rather than a csp.

Ford has had my truck at the dealer for 4 weeks trying to perform recall 25V315. The update has not been successful and Ford will not give me my truck back while they try and come up with a solution. My truck did not experience any problems with the rear camera screen freezing. Other trucks are experiencing similar problems.
