Driver side LED DRL light has failed. This is a common problem occuring with many people with 2021+ year models of the Ford F-150. Truck is barely outside of warranty and with 51,000 miles and should not have a failing LED DRL. Additionally, Ford has made this part unrepairable and according to the dealership closest to me will require a full headlight assembly replacement.

Bought the truck used from a ford dealer with roughly 34000 miles in 2023.Transmission had a slightly hard shift into 5th gear then that escalated to a jump of shifting from 1 to 4 leaving traffic lights or stop sighns. The truck would also drive in first shift to 2nd or 3rd and loose all power for moment of time then shift to 4th. Changed trans filter and replaced motorcraft ulv to specs at roughly 70200 miles with no change in shift pattern. Drove then next day to town about 6 miles trans temp reached 260-280 in that short time with the same random unsafe shift pattern as stated before.

- #11712873January 23, 2026POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Since buying my Ford 2018 F150 Raptor, I have had constant issues and problems with the 10R80 Transmission shifting irradictly, harsh engagements, stalling between gears while losing power, loud metal noises in the transmission/under the truck, and damage already done to the transfer case and transmission resulting in a truck that needs a new transmission, CDF, and transfer case. I have had this truck worked on 8 times on the transfer case, and constant reprogramming of the PCM because the technicians at the dealerships did not know how to completely fixed it and just followed the TSBs that were given by Ford. Most of which they just reprogrammed the PCM and the adaptive learning program which Ford said it was most likely causing the issues. In 2023 they found damage inside the transfer case with metal bore damage and two valves, which they replaced, it worked for a year, and now my transmission is completely damaged permentaly from not solving the initial issues. As of October of 2025, the new TSB 25-2474 and TSB 25-2475 which addresses replacing the entire transmission and/or CDF. Of which Ford knew the whole time. This past month I was almost in 7 accidents due to the transmission shifting suddenly, not shifting at all and stalling going through an intersection with cars behind me, and Ford told me this whole time that the harsh shifts were normal or desired in these performance trucks. I have three kids under the age of [XXX] who ride with me in this truck, and almost risked their lives trying to fix these issues and almost involved in accidents from the transmission failing. The transmission and transfer case/valve bodies have been worked on at least 6 times under warranty, but now it just expired and Ford is stating they cant do anything now because it is expired, yet it is now completely broken. Ford is quoting 12,000 for a new transmission, transfer case, and CDF Valve. Even though they did not fix the original issues this whole time. 2021 ford f150 PowerBoost hybrid. There is a LOT of internet chatter and forum chatter about KNOWN issues with the following, and it recently almost led to a major and likely serious injury accident. Specific Parameters: Low speed (~5 mph) slow roll Under internal combustion power, not battery In 2nd gear only When gas pedal is pressed vehicle does nothing. Does not respond. Two choices are to hammer the gas, or hit the breaks. Does two things, slams forward eventually after 3-4 second delay if gas pedal depressed OR shifts down or into electric mode (internal combustion off) and then will once again go from first to third in normal acceleration progression and pace They must have an issue with the standard 1-3 skip programming with ICE power and 2nd gear being a hang-up I almost got T boned by a semi truck due to this with family in car. This could have been deadly. It happens as an annoyance at least once per day but this one was scary. Online, and based on what I can find - Ford is aware of this issue as they have the 1-3-5 programming in the transmission but when it finds itself (due to real world driving conditions) in 2nd gear under Internal combustion, it does not know what to do. I brought it to Ford last year in Anchorage and they are attempting to blame it on normal hybrid system operation. That is NOT the case. It would be something that could be duplicated but with effort. A basic, simple test drive is NOT going to find this. They are aware of this being an issue. If you have any situation where you are rolling through, merging into traffic, or other scenario where you end up in 2 under ICE you are in TROUBLE. Dangerous, scary, and totally a manufacturer issue that is known and needs to be taken VERY seriously.

- #11713037January 23, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was in the parking lot of my local grocery store, and the truck all of a sudden gave me an indicator that there is a "park brake fault-service now." I was stranded and had to have someone pick me up for this, This is after hours so I cannot call the Ford dealership until the following day. I now see Ford issued a recall for this under 23S35. However, when I look up my VIN under Ford, that did not show, and thus, we did not address this earlier when that should have happened. That is a problem and needs to be addressed with Ford ASAP. What if I was driving and this happened??!!

I received a recall on my 2022 ford f150 vehicle stating that the wheel end hub bolt in the rear axle may become loose or break. Continued use of the vehicle can cause damages to other vehicles and/or cause crashes. I tried to have this repaired when I received a recall notice back in November 2025 but they were unable to help. I dropped my vehicle off on 1/6/26 for recall repair and they are telling me there are no parts available and won't get a new update letter until 4th quarter 2026.I did ask about providing a rental in the meantime they immediately denied my request. At this time I do not feel safe removing my vehicle from the lot or driving it. I spoke with Earl at Ford Recall Assistance Center on 1/23/26 (ref call number: [XXX]) . I can not go without a vehicle, this is absolutely unacceptable and I am submitting this complaint and will be moving forward with legal counsel. 4 months after taking vehicle in for recall fixes, both recalls on vehicle have not been remediated due to parts not being available. No ETA on availability and get a run around when asking for more info. Hub Shaft Recall stats that driving the vehicle with a broken hub bolt will wear shafts but no loaner was given so I have no choice but to drive vehicle with a broken bolt. Ford customer service told me its ok to drive the vehicle but never stated if they are replacing the entire rear end or just the parts listed on the recall.. What is dirving the vehicle ruins the splines on the shafts. Are they going to replace those as well?

While driving my 2017 F150 Lariat 4x4 5.0LV8 with 6speed transmission and 48,700 miles on the odometer at roughly 55mph this morning - the transmission suddenly downshifted to 2nd gear. The downshift was sudden enough to "bark" the rear tires. Thankfully, no one was near me, and I was able to maintain control of the vehicle and reach my destination safely.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to shift into third gear, the vehicle started shaking abnormally, and the gear shift was difficult to engage, causing the transmission to shift hard. The contact stated that at faster speeds, while attempting to shift into seventh gear, there was a delayed response. The powertrain fault warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 23-2123 (Harsh/Delayed Engagement And/or Harsh/Delayed Shift); however, the VIN was not included in the TSB. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,000.

This 10 speed transmission 10R80 is very well known to fail. This should be investigated and recalled by ford with a fix. So many people with f150s year 2017-present have this transmission with issues. Mine is currently starting to have issues and I know how much it will cost to repair. Even repairing makes me nervous because I’d hate to have another 10R80 back in it.

Driving on the intetstate, the truck lost speed and went down to 5th gear. I have since been told that it is a problem that Ford has with 2013 F150s. It is a “Molded Lead Frame”. It is a $2000 repair that is now out of warranty by 3 years. It has since done this twice while driving down the road, it just loses speed and the last time to almost a complete stop on the highway.

While attempting a left-hand turn across two lanes of oncoming traffic, the vehicle experienced a sudden and total loss of motive power. Upon acceleration, the 10R80 transmission slipped out of gear, causing the engine RPMs to spike (rev) without transferring power to the wheels. This left the vehicle momentarily stationary in the path of oncoming traffic, nearly resulting in a broadside collision. After a delay, the transmission violently engaged, causing the vehicle to lunge forward with enough force to spin the tires and nearly cause a loss of steering control. There were no prior warning lights, "limp mode" indicators, or messages on the dashboard before or during the failure. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealership, where technicians confirmed a failure internal to the 10R80 transmission. The service department stated this is a "known issue" with this transmission model and recommended a full replacement. This failure represents a significant safety hazard due to the unpredictable loss of power in high-stakes driving situations.

Parking break fault warning light service now light comes on intermittently when the parking break was set. The ford dealer I bought the truck from found a leaking rear left break line and replaced the left rear parking break motor assembly. The Warning light kept coming on intermittently when setting the parking break after this repair. I took it to my local ford dealer who said nothing was wrong. I’m now on a trip and the warning light continues to intermittently come on. Took it to another ford dealer who reconnected a wire and said if that didn’t work it needed a new ABS module. I continued on my trip and the warning light kept coming on. Stopped at another ford dealer who cleaned up some connectors. The warning light kept coming on and I took it back. Now they think it needs a new ABS module and said it is back ordered for 2 months and I’m a 1000+ miles from home.
