When the F-150 would be turned off after driving for a while, the truck would not Start for a few hours until it cooled down. I had it checked out at Gator Ford and they saif they could not determine the proble. I drove it to [XXX] and had it check out at Two Rivers Ford in [XXX] and they said the truck clearly had a problem and that they "Believed it eas the 10 gear trsnission getting hot and the truck cutting off. They said I should trade it or risk the proble being the Oil Pump and eng. I took their advice and traded it for an F-150 platunm Vin: [XXX] . This is a problem and needs to be look at as now my 2023 F-150 eng has locked up that I reported with a Vin [XXX] . The cutting off with wait time was a daily occurance. Manufacturer recall #24E12 (PCM software update) triggered a PO430:00-ED code (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold - Bank 2) because the new software more strictly monitors the catalytic converter, causing it to detect previously ignored degradation. This reprogram scamming program makes community bothered by paying parts replacements more than 2K, even vehicle was fine before the recall. This needs resolved with FREE FIXED and FREE Catalytic Replacement. This is not right to announce a recall with unfinished repair issues left. This needs action. Thanks, So mote it be!

There currently is a NHTSA inspection investigation going for this issue. I only have 75k miles on this truck. The shifting is off. Sometimes it goes out of gear. I had to stop and restart everything to get it home. Getting on the freeway it went to first gear and I had to pull over. Made a weird noise in shifting. The shift illumination goes on and off. The shifting was acting definitely not right.

Lead frame failure in transmission. Causing vehicle to be inoperable and towed to dealer. Very expensive repair. Contacted Ford directly due to large reports online of failure and previous years being covered. Ford declined to do anything.

My transmission unexpectedly jumps gears and down shifts. My car just stopped getting any sort of power on the highway. All this with my children in the car. I was able to pull over safely, but it was extremely scary. I put the truck in park and then put it in drive and it started driving again. My ford f150 has under 80,000 miles on it. In my opinion this is a huge safety concern. A wrench popped up on my dash indicating that service was needed, but it has since gone away.

Electronic parking brake warning was coming on and parking brake was inoperative during this period of time. Vehicle is at the dealership now and diagnosed with corroded and broken wires in the left rear harness for the parking brake. Ford will not assist with this repair even though it is very similar to the problem involving recall 23S35 which inspects and replaces this same harness due shorting out wires which could cause the parking brake to lock up while driving

Recalls: First notice August 2025; second notice Recall #25V512 dated March 2026.The wheel and hub bolt in the rear end may become loose or break. Continued driving with a broken bolt may lead to wear within the axle and damage the axle hub splines. Vehicles with damaged axle hub splines may roll in Park without the parking brake applied, or, alternatively, loss motive power or both of which can increase the risk of a crash. Complaint: I have several unresolved recalls on my vehicle but am concerned about two open safety recalls on my 2024 F‑150. I received the first recall notice in August 2025 and the second (25V512) in March 2026. My dealer, Scenic Ford in Mount Airy, NC, told me they do not have the parts and cannot get them. On September 17, 2025, I contacted Ford directly and was told the recall would be elevated to an emergency order and parts would be shipped. As of today 03/24/2026, the dealer still has no parts, and Ford has not provided a repair date. I contacted Ford Consumer Care and was told that they do not have parts. The safety recall states that the parts are now available. The rear‑end noise is getting worse, indicating the defect is progressing. I am concerned the vehicle may become unsafe to drive. I have owned Fords since 1967 and have never experienced this level of delay on a safety recall. I am writing to document that Ford cannot give me a date to fix my F-150 and has told me to continue to drive my 2024 F-150 and will not give me a replacement vehicle to use until mine can be repaired. In case the rear end locks up and causes a major accident this is documentation that Ford has refused to fix or replace my defective 2024 F-150 or to supply a replacement vehicle.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift into gear and the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road, turned off, and restarted after a while, and the transmission shifted properly. The contact used a scanner to reset the system, and the transmission shifted properly while driving approximately 50 - 60 MPH. The speedometer rose to 100 MPH, then 0 MPH unexpectedly, with the power train warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The dealer completed a system update. The failure persisted and became progressively worse. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, who determined that the leadframe was defective, causing the transmission failure. The dealer informed the contact that the repair was not covered under warranty because the vehicle had exceeded 6,000 miles. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

The local dealer was contacted and suggested a diagnostic test to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000. The VIN was not available.

I've been reading the reports that there could be a recall for transmission issues in 2016 F150's. I've noticed similar issues as what's been reported. This is irregular shifting, down shifting hard at times, and irregular shifting in cruise control.

The truck out of nowhere downshifted when I was going down the highway at 60 and locked up the back tires, and then it went into limp mode and woundnt drive very fast. The mechanic shop said that it was probably that the TRS and the 6R80 transmission were currently being investigated for these safety concerns and i couldnt agree more. I could have hit someone or even got hurt my self.
