VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES
The Stibilitrack in the truck went out just after 20 minutes of driving in 34 degree rainy weather at 65 mph. Found out that it was the passenger front bearing reluctor had chipped away, which is what the wheel speed sensor reads. Once one those go out, you lose Stibilitrack and ABS. I believe that this is a significant safety issue, and a poorly engineered/designed system. The rear system reads gear which is what should be in the front should have as well, not a "magnetic ring". This should be fixed so that noone gets injured or killed. It's also a waste of consumer money that you have to change out an entire wheel bearing hub assembly to fix the issue. Shame on the company. In the photos, notice that half the black ring (the reluctor) is missing.

STEERING
After dropping my Dad off at his appt. at Truman VA in Columbia I was pulling in the parking garage and the steering became VERY hard to turn..A light came on that said something about servicing the steering or something like that..I got it in a place to park and turned it off..after his appt I ran out and got in the truck and after starting it the steering worked perfect..2 hours later when we got home it felt different when I turned in the driveway and then it started wobbling like the wheels were falling off. I stopped it, turned off the motor, restarted it and it worked fine again..when we ask the Dealership, 30 miles from us is closest one, they said there wasn't any recalls on it so we'd have to bring it in they would check it out and something about $400 or $500 probably to fix it...i see all these other trucks that got recalled why not his? very dangerous..any chance ya'll can do some looking in to this for us? Cold weather random single quiet chime heard over radio. Random times no duplicating. Sometimes at stop light with brake pressed it will chime once. Other time as you take off from stop sign single quiet chime heard. Other times as you are driving it will do this. Only factor is that is when its cold outside. Vehicle drives fine and no lights on dash indicating an issue. Roads clear no snow or ice. Cleaned all 3 cameras and still same issue when cold outside. Not sure if this is affecting any safety features on vehicle or not or something chevy needs to address in an update to fix. I am not the only one with this issue as I have read a lot on facebook posts and internet forums for this

After completing a right turn with a right turn signal, the vehicle will sometimes signal a left turn for 3 blinks. I believe this is because the turn signal stalk 'bounces' down to the left turn signal area when returning back to normal position from a right turn. This is a safety issue because the vehicle is signaling a left turn when no turn is intended. This could cause confusion to other drivers on the road. I have taken it to my dealer who attempted 3 times to fix with no success. It's a common issue that GM has not addressed for a long time now.

STEERING
I have recently starting to experience my vehicle having power steering issues. This has caused the power steering to go out as I'm drive which has almost caused me to be involved in multiple accidents. I did some research online and found out that this is an ongoing issue with my vehicles make and model. I am hoping that this being a KNOWN issue with this year and model of vehicle it gets put on the recall list so this issue doesn't potentially kill someone. Thank you,

IGNITION LOCKED UP. This situation is the same as another complaint posted earlier this year by another owner. Ignition key will not turn in the igntion switch. Tried all the internet fixes. Turning steering wheel, bumping transmission lever, tried spare key, etc. Nothing worked. $225 to tow to the dealer. Still waiting to hear from back from dealer.

POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER
The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and accelerating, the vehicle started shaking abnormally. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the abnormal shaking was caused by the torque converter. The dealer flushed the transmission; however, the failure has persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving and coming to a complete stop, the vehicle jerked while shifting gear. Additionally, while driving at slow speeds, the transmission was slipping, and the vehicle hesitated while shifting into gear. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the torque converter and other unknown transmission parts had previously been replaced, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 142,000.

COMPLAINT # 11630574 Transmission Shudder, took to dealership on 09/28/2023 had transmission flushed and changed fluid to new style transmission fluid, per GM under warranty. I was told that if it needed done again that i would have to pay to have it done and would cost approximately $400- $500. On 12/13/2024 the truck is shuddering again at 48,700 miles.

LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, UNKNOWN OR OTHER
1. Other: Turn signal - when turning right with the signal activated, once you straighten the wheel, the turn signal stalk will reset to the middle but will activate the left turn signal. 2. Adaptive cruise control - For no reason the brakes will activate, there is no vehicle in front and the windshield is clean. 3. Blind spot warning - These BSW indicators will go off at random with no vehicles beside mine. This occurs more at night, but does happen during the day. When this happens at night the yellow indicator is so bright that you cannot even see what might (or is not) in your blind spot. This faulty indicator is going to get someone hurt as other drivers with the same issue might over correct.

STEERING
The vehicle steering system stopped working while driving and a steering and stabilitytrac lights came on. This occurred also occurred last week. In both cases the error resolved itself after fighting the wheel to the side of the road and restarting the car. The failure of this key control component presents an obvious risk of injury or death. I was therefore concerned to find that this exact same issue arose on the prior year Colorado (2015) and resulted in a formal recall. I also saw on line a multitude of reports for this same issue on 2016 trucks and was troubled by seeing that no recall or corrective action has been ordered by GM or the NHTSA. I struggle to understand why NHTSA has not acted on the 2016 Colorado complaints re the exact same issue presenting the exact same danger to the public. Please act.

Rear back up camera at night is extremely bright and blinding to driver. Makes it useless at night and dangerous. There's no way to lower brightness setting for night time back up moves. I've seen many complaints on this. We owners shouldn't have to pay to have this fix.

On [XXX], I discovered that the backup camera on my 2023 Chevy Colorado was malfunctioning. Regardless of whether I was operating the vehicle in reverse or manually activating the backup camera, it remained inoperable. On the same day, I made a reservation with my local Chevrolet dealership in Elko, Nevada, to have the backup camera inspected. I took the truck to the dealership on July 19 for a repair under warranty. However, the technician informed me that the issue could not be resolved and believed it was a harness that had become pinched and required replacement. The dealership ordered the necessary part but was unable to provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA). As of December 1, despite my efforts to resolve the issue with both the dealership and GM’s corporate entity, I have yet to receive an ETA or any parts for repair. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), backup cameras are mandatory safety equipment for vehicles manufactured in 2018 and newer. I have brought this matter to the attention of GM and the dealership, but it appears to be unaddressed. The design of the truck makes it challenging to see behind, and the inability to perceive potential hazards in the rear poses a safety risk. SERVICE BRAKES
On the afternoon of [XXX], I had an interesting incident in a parking lot while slowly pulling into a parking spot. As I began braking, the brake pedal suddenly sank to the floor, forcing me to engage the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. After restarting the truck, the pedal firmness returned, but I noticed a peculiar sound, likely originating from the ABS pump or solenoids. No warning lights illuminated on the dashboard, and no error codes were detected with my scanner. Additionally, I’ve observed that the front driver’s side wheel has significantly more brake dust compared to the passenger side. I brought this issue to the attention of the service advisor at Boulevard GMC in Signal Hill, CA. Boulevard GMC informed me that brake parts are currently on a nationwide backorder, and there is no estimated time of arrival for when GM will supply dealerships with replacement parts. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING
Side object sensors go off frequently when no vehicles are there on both sides of vehicle. Additionally when passing vehicles the side object sensors only detect vehicles about 40% of the time. The side object sensors will double flash when no vehicles are there and fight me when changing lanes when lane assist is on. I have video of the false alerts and non detection incidents.
