I have made a prior complaint about the same issue when I had the truck for only a day and 111 miles on it that the entire truck lost power as I was making a left hand turn. It has again happened that the entire truck lost power as I was driving. I now have 15,039 miles on it. I was driving stop and go leading up to a stop sign when the truck stalled and lost power and turned on the emergency brake. I was able to finally get it back running. It has been an issue for a while where you can almost feel like the truck is about to stall but it eventually kicks back in. This time however it did not.

Engine light comes on every time I put gas in the capless gas tank. It’s a brand new truck, only put gas in 3 times since owning it and engine light has come on each time, light goes off when gas level reaches around 1/2 a tank. Paid short of $60,000 for the truck should not be happening.

- #11593870June 12, 2024ENGINE, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Yesterday, 6/11/24, was the 4th time while driving the engine shut off while moving. Had to hit the brakes and coast to side of road. Had to put in park and start the engine. Dealer claims can’t repeat or find code. Same problem as many on the page. Also have the front camera/radar intermittently stop working and warns emergency braking and cruise control can’t be used. This is on the freeway!! 45 seconds later everything works again. Again no dealer help.

When coming to a stop light, the vehicle stalled and shut off without warning. I had to shift to park, apply the brake and press the emergency brake button to get the vehicle to start. This has occurred twice since buying the vehicle in March 2024.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated upon purchasing the vehicle brand new and attempting to use the key fob to operate the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond. The dealer replaced the antenna; however, the failure persisted. The dealer diagnosed that the RF hub was corroded due to water leaking through the third brake light. The dealer determined that the rear windshield, the third brake light, and the RF hub module needed to be replaced. The contact was charged a repair cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,050.

Truck stalled suddenly, indicating a flashing message of electrical error of stability assistant. Truck restarted with a yellow engine light on, but would not allow dial to shift into drive. Automatic correct transmission would pull it back into park. Turned engine on and off several times. Once responsive to Drive option, attempted to leave congested traffic area. Moving for 5 minutes now at 35 mph with emergency lights, Truck stalls again. Engine can be restarted but will not hold in Drive. RAM 1500 is new, owned for 4 weeks now.

We purchased a new 2021 Dodge Ram in November of 2021 from Desert 215 Superstore in Las Vegas, NV. Nine months later the truck stalled while driving. The dealership kept the truck while they repaired the fuel pump. They had our truck for seven months while they attempted to repair it. The dealership couldn't figure out how to repair the underlying cause of the faulty fuel pump--therefore they replaced the powertrain, transmission, and engine. Approximately, one year later on [XXX], 2024, the truck stalled while crossing a busy intersection--my husband had our two young sons in the car which could have resulted in a serious accident but thankfully did not. We received a recall notice again last night about the fuel pump along with two other notices. Therefore it was not repaired correctly the first time. I looked up the vehicle information online and there are several class action lawsuits due to the aforementioned as this imposes a serious safety and hazardous risk to our family along with other drivers that can potentially result in injury or death. The entire vehicle needs to be recalled for a manufacturer defect under the premise of product liability. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have tried at three dealerships to get this recall repaired over the last two years. Everyone tells me they cannot get the parts including a replacement fuel pump. Each dealer has stated that it needs to be replaced. I drive this vehicle everyday at apparently my own risk. The state of Ohio sent a letter requiring repair of this safety recall. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. With an open safety recall I am unable to trade or sell the vehicle.

I have had several occasions where I have been driving down the road and my engine has shut off. I took the truck to the dealership and they show error codes but can’t fix unless they can recreate the problem.

All fuses were loose from daily driving. I noticed this because I had a 115v cargo outlet on, on my dash that was flickering. My truck doesn't have a cargo outlet. my radio wasn't working either. I went to check fuses and everyone has wiggled loose. This is unsafe do to if someone were to get into an accident the air bags could potentially not go off, or some cars now have electronic steering that could fail at any time. I'm sure there is a lot more that could happen considering cars are getting more and more electronic stuff for them. The problem has not been confirmed with anyone other than myself. I work for an autobody shop so I work with cars daily. No one has inspected this issue other than myself. I have seen many other people having this issue on forums like reddit, Ram truck forums. The fix was to unhook negative cable, Push down all fuses to reseat then hook negative cable back up its been running fine ever sense. Unfortunately I don't have photos of them all being loose because i was just worried about getting it fixed and didn't think about it at the time.

[XXX], While driving S on [XXX] , I felt a brief loss of power than a total engine shutdown. I was sandwiched between two semis but was able to locate a wide spot in the shoulder to signal and pull over, parking 9 feet off the fog line. The vehicle indicated a failure and would not restart. As it was a winter night, I was able to contact a relative to head our way and contacted AAA for a tow 5 miles to the nearest town, Chemult. My wife and I secured our vehicle in a safe place off the highway and were given a ride 72 miles to home. Ram Assist was unable to locate a tow company so I arranged and paid for the vehicle to be delivered to the nearest dealer in Klamath Falls, OR. After a week, the dealer confirmed a fuel system catastrophic shut down probably related to the high pressure fuel pump. Parts took 1.5 months to arrive and a repair was attempted March 29. April 1, I was informed the repair failed, the vehicle would not provide sufficient fuel pressure. New parts were ordered and attempted repairs continued to fail. As of May 8, 2024, the vehicle has not been successfully repaired. Replaced components are retained by the dealer at least until the repair is successful, then they will be sent to FCA. Vehicle started and ran well prior to the sudden failure. It was getting good mileage, was fueled with COSTCO diesel, and DEF tank was indicating full. I was advised of the HPFP recall and had requested the service in mid-December. Recall replacement parts were not available. Knowing of the recall, I had thought through what a failure would feel like so the correct action was taken immediately to get out of the way of the following Semi and coast to a safe distance off the highway lane. Thankfully, winter conditions had moderated so we kept warm enough (brand new winter coats purchased that day) and we were within cell coverage.
