Twice I have pulled out into traffic and the engine lost all power and I was almost rear ended by another vehicle. After a few seconds the engine recovered and was driving normal. I’ve taken it to the dealer where it was purchased twice for this issue but they say they can’t duplicate the issue. No warning lamps ever came up.

Turn signal is not cancelling after turning. Brough vehicle back to dealership and they did not have the part to fix it and never called me back. Looked in the NHTSA recall listing and saw that issues with turn signals have been previously reported under 23V799000. What can I do?

When using RAM's UConnect system with Apple CarPlay, the system often disconnects and disables Maps, Podcasts, etc. This requires that one manually disconnect the system, restart it and connect to the phone again. For example, when driving in downtown Dallas, Apple Maps was disconnected and there was no place to pull over to reconnect to the UConnect system. This problem is frequent. On a recent 100 mile trip, the system disconnected over 15 times. I have taken the truck back to the dealer. The service manager said that his truck did the same thing. He said that it was a software issue and that RAM (Stellantis) was working on it. Upon calling the UConnect Customer Service line, I got the same answer. There have been a few updates since I purchased this vehicle, but none have solved the problem. This situation is dangerous and causes distraction - whether you are able to pull over or not. I have been driving this truck for 2 years and the problem has been constant the entire time.

While driving I was making a left hand turn to another roadway. All of a sudden I was unable to make the turn because my steering went completely out. I had to make an immediate stop, if not I would have driven into the ditch. Had there been oncoming traffic this steering failure could have caused a fatal accident. The dash warning lite was activated, message was power steering failure. I had the truck towed to the dealership. After two weeks the dealer called and said the electric power steering failed and a new unit would need to be installed. I was told it could be several months before they get a replacement unit in. The vehicle has approximately 1700 miles and I purchased it new approximately 8 months a go. This is certainly a major safety issue that could cause a fatal collision.

During normal driving conditions the vehicles air conditioning system and interaction pane malfunctions. The issue has occurred twice during ownership. First occurrence was after going over a speed-bump at approximately 1-5 mph. The second occurrence was when coming to stop to make a turn. In both occurrences, the air conditioner was set enabled and coldest, and fan speed was set to 2-3. During the first occurrence (March 15th, 2024 at 4:28 PM EST), the fan speed self-raised to 7; internal circulation was likely already enabled. The Front and Rear defrosters turned themselves on, and temperature self-raised to mid-warm to hot. Attempting to lower the temperature, fan-speed, and attempts to disable defrosters immediately fail. The visual indicator shows its being lowered or disabled, but immediately re-enables or raises. In the second occurrence was June 14, 2024 at approximately 6:25 PM EST. This time, the fan speed did not self-raise; instead, just the cabin heat raised and defrosters enabled. In both occurrences, the touch screen is clean and clear of liquids or debris. In both occurrences the issue ceased after approximately 30-60 seconds, and controls functioned without issue. No prior contact was made to the screen prior to these occurrences. No modifications have been made to the vehicle to warrant this failure. No check engine light or other illumination/warning appeared during the occurrences. Video of occurrences are available upon request by government or manufacture.

The parked vehicle sustained damages to the front bumper. The contact's grandparents vehicle had damages to the front grill and cosmetic scratches to the vehicle. The grandparent's vehicle was left at the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was returned to the finance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000. For reference, there are only 4,780 miles on my vehicle. I was driving 20mph when my 2024 Ram Tradesman dash lit up "Shift to P to Start". Checked my gear and it said I was still in drive? I slowed down to park, and then it said "Press Break and Push Button to Start". Again, still driving (slowly luckily). I began to slow the vehicle to 8mph and the whole vehicle stalled and the dash read "Shifter Autocorrect Engaged" and it literally THREW my vehicle into park and engaged the E-Break. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle any longer. There are MULTIPLE instances with models as old as 2018 and as new as 2024 that this is happening. And not just at slow speeds. I have read multiple instances in people traveling on the interstate at 70+mph and they are crashing. My vehicle may be under warranty still, but my life is not, neither is my husband and children's lives. This vehicle is how we get places as a family and it puts all four of us at risk of injury or death. This is a HIGH risk glitch. I contacted the Dan Cummins dealership in Paris KY and they said they had NEVER heard of this problem? But it's ALL OVER the internet? And it hasn't been recalled? They said it would be 2 weeks before they could look at it and acted like it wasn't a major issue. I am furious. This is people's LIVES at risk. This isn't a camera malfunction, or a tailgate that doesnt lock. This is the engine shutting down then the E-Break engaging when driving and potentially flipping and spinning my vehicle out of control. Not to mention other problems like my driver side window glitching and not rolling up until I hit it two and three times, or the AC shutting down and blowing out hot air when the automatic hybrid kicks in/or the truck is half shut down at lights. But this? This is it. I will not drive a vehicle made by a company who KNOWS they have RECURRING problems and refuses to recall the vehicle for YEARS. It is hazardous to LIFE.

Truck shuddered and stalled in traffic on the highway. Was able to restart after a minute but it stalled and stopped again repeatedly leaving me vulnerable to a collision. This also occurred last summer on the interstate and the truck was towed to a dealer but they said they could not find anything wrong. Truck is currently at the dealer.

The infotainment center will go blank and do a reset while driving, it does not store radio presets for long. Most concerning, I’ve been backing out of my garage when the garage lighting has been turned off and when the vehicles sensors detect a darker surrounding and adjust the dash and infotainment center light level, the infotainment center goes dark for a while and does it’s reset thing thus not having a backup camera until it has had time to reset.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while in reverse, the display screen failed to display an image, but displayed a blue screen. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the camera wiring harness might need to be replaced. 2nd report Had Timing cover replaced for a second time. Only has 17500 miles. It has started to leak again after 35 miles and has to go in for repair again. total of around 50 days in shop for just this issue. It seems to be a VERY common Problem and Ram needs to be held accountable for this
