VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
While cruise control is on (not adaptive cruise), the slightest turn in the steering wheel causes the vehicle to slow down. Vehicle slows on a small curve up to 5mph, since the brake isn’t being applied anyone approaching from behind may not adjust quickly.

SERVICE BRAKES
Parking brake fails to engage the first few times and when attempting to engage it the rpms rev high. System seems confused and thinks it’s still driving hence the difficulty for the brake to be applied (mostly on an incline). In other instances the parking brake disengages on its own after the vehicle is turned off. Something isn’t right. Dealership can’t duplicate because no incline exists.

While driving on the expressway the steering wheel moves slightly and feels like it is slipping. With both hands on the wheel it feels like it gives and has some play in the wheel. Happens when Driving a steady pace and all of a sudden there is movement in the wheel. Coincidentally there is a shudder in the front end around the same time, almost feels like something is slipping or about to give out.

Several hazard lights have come on and I've been told to reset it and tried but the lights stay on there are more than 5 on the main one that scares me is the malfunction warning light. The car used to warn me when you close to a vehicle or someone too close behind it does none of that anymore the steering wheel has also shifted... Please HELP!

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the transmission. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR
1) The front passenger door will not open. This is a recurring problem and I have experienced it four times already. 2) CVT Malfunction warning is persistent. CVT resets when the engine is turned off and comes back on after about 10 to 15 minutes after the engine is started again, which creates a problem when you come to a complete stop. The transmission does not immediately get in gear and there is a very slow start-up in moving forward. The "ECO" engaged by itself and this problem started when I disengaged the "ECO" when I was headed up a hill. The problem with the "ECO" is intermittent. I took the car to a private mechanic and they did not have enough information from Nissan to correct this problem. I contacted Kimmel- Silverman, Lemon Law Attorney, and was told that Nissan was aware of the problem and has not issued a recall, as of this moment.

The CVT in this car is faulty. The transmission has been rebuilt but it still has the same issue. The transmission doesn’t di room properly and although the rpm’s increase the car will not accelerate. I’ve taken the car to Nisan dealerships. They now deny that this issue exists and will not offer a fix. The car is a safety hazard. It loses the ability to accelerate at low and high speeds. While on the highway or in the city the car loses the ability to maintain or increase speed. There is also a known issue with this car related to the brake switch and moisture in the tail light. The dealership knows by way of Nissan corporation sharing an article with them about this issue in other cars and knows that the brake switch is faulty and that the car can brake and accelerate at the same time but no recall has been issued. These issues are ongoing, have been happening since the car was about 3 years old and happen regularly.

While driving on the highway and when I try to accelerate in my Nissan Sentra, I've noticed that my transmission was starting to jerk. Because of this, I took my Nissan Sentra to a Nissan service center to get it inspected. The mechanic informed me that my transmission is faulty. I purchased my car in 2014 and only have 68,000 miles on it so I was shocked that my transmission is already having issues. Once I started to research Nissan Sentra CVT transmissions online, I noticed that there were numerous complainants from many consumers regarding this CVT transmission. I was told by the mechanic that I had to replace and fully pay for the transmission which costs $6,500 and Nissan Corporate was not going to help in anyway. This is unacceptable that Nissan is selling cars with faulty parts knowing that they will have to be repaired or replaced sooner than anyone can anticipate. It's also very dangerous to drive on these transmissions as they can breakdown any moment, potentially leading to a car accident and bodily injuries. Any Nissan car with this faulty transmission should be recalled. The contact owns a 2018 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 5 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was unable to shift out of drive(D). The contact stated that he was able to manually push the vehicle out of the roadway with the assistance of bystanders. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to his residence. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 113,000.

When I would hit my breaks and sit at a red light . My car would start vibrating really bad and then force it’s self up even though my foot would be on the break and almost his someone walking and a few other times in a car . It also would shut its self off and back on . When I put it in park it would die and when I put it back in drive it would die . Sometimes turn its self back on & I have a push to start .

My 2018 Nissan Sentra is currently in the shop at my local Nissan dealership because it needs a transmission replacement. The car lurched ahead causing me to run into my garage door causing damage. It also while driving loses power, the rpm meter will drop for a few seconds and you will see and feel it re engage a few seconds later. It does this frequently at various speeds.

POWER TRAIN
My car stopped accelerating normally and was losing power so eventually I deemed it unsafe to drive. I was told by a mechanic that it was just a speed sensor or the computer needed reprogramming. I took it to the Nissan dealership and they said that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. Mind you I had only had the car about 10 months. I declined the warranty since it’s a 2018 and was not told the car had any major concerns. I had the transmission replaced and it’s $4,391. It’s been in the shop since July 2022 and the place I bought it from is permanently closed so I couldn’t take it back or exchange it. I haven’t been able to work without a car. I’ve been working sporadically so the bills fell behind and now I’m going through eviction stuff and facing repossession etc… it all started with this transmission replacement. I’ve been so stressed out. I hope things turn around. 🧿✨️ CVT transmissions are not my first go with Nissans.

While traveling down the interstate doing the normal speed limit, I was forced to pull over to the emergency lane so cars can pass me. My car lost power to the engine without notice. No check system engine lights were not activated during this time. Car and Trucks were having to swerve over in other lanes to keep from rear ending me and causing a major wreck. This happen several weeks ago again with no lights lighting up on dash. I was able to pull over for a few minutes and restart the car and it was back to normal. I looked things up online and took my car into a repair shop to let me know the problem, They stated that they have seen this issue with Nissan vehicles. It is the CVT transmission issue. The loss of power comes from the CVT fluid getting too hot and reduces power to save the CVT transmission, I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra that was Manufactured 6/2012.

part 2 of my first complaint about the 2017 Nissan Sentra. There is a bug in my car and I hired 'bug sweeper USA' to find the bug and remove it and they said there isn't a bug and to die. I am frightened and want the bug/transmitter removed, it is against the law in the united states and I want them arrested. I have to trade it up for a better car because I found out that it doesn't have front real drive. This car has terrible blind spots and rear drum breaks. I didn't notice that before it or I wouldn't have bought it. I feel unsafe also because it is terrible going up hills and accelerating. I test drove it on flat roads. I think these cars should be remove from the road and discontinued. I have never bought a car this terribly engineered. I hear things through the radio that identifies what the song is and what it means. Then when i turn it off I hear abusive objection and ordered to exit the car. I am not crazy and my mind is clear !

SERVICE BRAKES
I was driving on the interstate to go and visit my granddaughter from PA to New York when all of a sudden I press on the break pedal and the brakes stopped working there was no warning sign on the dashboard I was alone in the car and afraid I started to slow down there was a lot of traffic trucks and I pulled over on the side slowly and use the emergency break and thank God I’m alive today to tell you my ordeal thank God I didn’t get hurt and no one got hurt and the best part I got to see my granddaughter 9 hours later. Basically I was informed that my brake line was broke in three pieces I cannot believe it just be careful always check your brake line thank you stay safe out there!!
