Car stall and shut off while driving on the highway. This is the second time this has happened in a year. They tried to blame it on the battery the fuel was reading wrong then. Fuel reading issue again in August supposed to have done a software update again to fix it. Now this time my child was driving and the car shuts down while driving on the highway with gas reading 42 miles left. The car gets to the dealership and they say it’s no gas and the fuel pump system failed. This car is a severe safety hazard.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On a clear sunny day, while driving around 40 mph with no traffic in front or behind me my Automatic Emergency Braking activated for a instant and then released. If I had been in traffic such as driving through Dallas at 70 mph or more, I might have been rear ended. It scared me. I can imagine what a car behind me would have done with the car in front hitting their break for no reason. There was no warning.

SEAT BELTS
The seat belt connection is located so far down in the seat cushion that it is almost impossible to fasten, and it is especially difficult if you are trying to fasten in a child seat. The design is a safety problem. The seat belts I am referring to are on the back seat.

Drain plug complete assembly detached from oil pan rendering the drain plug unusable and needs oil pan to be replaced due to oil pan material made of a plastic material. item will be available for inspection upon request. Safety of the driver and other drivers at risk due to possible excessive oil leaks on road causing slippery conditions, loss of power in engine due to lack of oil, loss of oil pressure due to lack of oil, major damage to engine due to lack of oil if not discovered early on or discovered during oil change. Renders vehicle unusable until oil pan is replaced.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while attempting to make a turn, the transmission inadvertently downshifted and the accelerator pedal was inadvertently depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The dealer recommended to the manufacturer that the gear shift lever be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer approved the recommendation by the dealer and the contact was informed that the shift gear lever would be replaced. The contact also was informed by the dealer that parts for the gear shift leaver were not available and were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 46,200.

I'm seeking reimbursement for purchase of new oil pan, $618.99 plus tax. From further investigating, the main issue is Nissan chose to use plastic oil pans in this vehicle. I took my vehicle to Walmart for oil change and company would not complete due to they reporting previous issues with Nissan Rogue oil system. They told me there was a recall. I called Carmax, place of purchase, and was told no recalls. I called Nissan dealership and was told no recalls. I then took my vehicles to Suns Auto and reported what was told to me by Walmart. Suns Auto said soon as they touched the oil plug it exploded off and they were unable to replace. This caused all of the oil to drain out annd therefore making car undriveable. At that point, if I wanted to drive my vehicle, I had to pay for replacing oil pan which was $618.99. I've been trying to get some type of compensation from all mentioned above but no one is taking responsibility. Neither would compensate or work with me on minimizing my out of pocket cost. We purchased a new 2023 Rogue last year. One year in, we have a failed upper transmission mount and both power struts on the tailgate. The dealer claims these are known issues but now recalls them. Now, we need to spend over $4,000 for a one-year-old car. I am surprised by the quality Nissan is currently using in their vehicles.

The attached letter of 10/14/24 to the manufacturer and to the dealership describes the reproduced safety problem that put us at risk 4 times. Engine failure. Yes the 4 times were confirmed by the Pat Fischer Nissan Dealership. The vehicle was diagnosed and inspected by the manufacturers authorized representative, Nissan dealership of Titusville, Fl. 32780. The warning lamps, messages appeared at the same time that the problem happened putting our lives at risk. Pics of messages and repair orders info to be subsequently uploaded and sent to you.

The contact was able to get off an exit to stop and park the vehicle safely on the side of the road; however, upon attempting to restart the vehicle the vehicle would not restart. The contact stated that the message "Power Failure - Vehicle Stalled - Please See Service". The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.

I bought Nissan Rogue 2017 in 2021, but I have been having issues with tires, even though i had pump it and went to repair the tire many times, I received a notice for key recall in 2023, I went for to Evan Mills Nissan dealer in March 2023, They just straighten the key, that I should not bend the key, and I have been having issues with car engine light, ABS and Malfunction's, I have, this car had shut off four times while driving. brakes & engine shut off while driving On [XXX]. I was driving in Chicopee MA, the moment I inserted the key, while driving, the car suddenly accelerated, could not control the brakes, jack up and suddenly turned off, while driving with my kids in it, the speed sensor decrease and not accelerated at all, I took it to scanning at emission test, I changed part as requested, but yet the engine light and ABS is still on, I went to the dealer on 11/26/2024 but they told that i have to pay $200 to diagnose this car before anything can be done, I have been having issues this car since they one, because the dealer sold this car for me with bad tires and also fogged the price from $17,000 to $23,000, I traded Hyundai sonata 2017 and i did not get anything back, I am [XXX], please I need help with my car. On December 14. 2024 at approximately 8:45pm, as I was going up hill, my RPMS shot up to 5,000 RPMs and the rogue began to decelerate. After the RPMs dropped, Engine Malfunction, Speeds Reduced appeared on the dashboard. I found a location to stop off the highway. When I popped the hood, there was oil everywhere, the dipstick had shot out and oil was all over the hood, and the car had a strong pungent smell like burnt gun powder from the exhaust. The car will not start as the engine has blown. Mileage at the time is 38,963. Prior to this, the Check engine light would come on intermittently. It came on again at approximately 8:40pm as I was driving a 28 mile drive home. Since it’s the weekend, I will be calling Nissan Monday morning.

On Thanksgiving, the rear door of our vehicle closed unexpectedly on my back while I was loading food and gifts. It seemed stuck; I had to lift it manually to reset it. It then resumed working normally. However, recently, it fell on my husband’s head while he was unloading groceries. He has a history of concussions, and I am very concerned about the safety risk this malfunction poses. Please investigate this issue and advise on any recalls or necessary actions.

3/25/2023 784 miles and 12 days after purchasing the vehicle The throttle got stuck, cruise was on but not activated, was going 100mgh, hit the brakes, slowed the speed, every time I took my foot off the brake, I was doing 90-100mph. I hit the brakes 5-7 times to try to cancel the cruise even though it was was set. It said "Activate" so it was not on. Then after hitting the brakes repeatedly, I heard a loud kerplunk (metal on metal) sound in the engine behind the brake pedal, and it shut off and drove normally afterwards. 3/30/2023 I accelerated to get on I35 and RPM stuck at 3200 and would not shift in sport mode; I changed to Standard mode and the RPMs dropped to 2000-2100; the engine revved up loud in sport mode. Female Service Manager from Burleson Nissan was in the car at the time of the event. This has happened 3 more times since owning this vehicle. At the advice of my lemon law attorney, I am reporting them separately.

On interstate, the vehicle felt like it had a "float" feel and occasional shimmy while driving. Upon parking in town, stranger identified vehicle's driver-side rear wheel was not straight. Observation showed ground-contacting point of tire was angled outward from car. Diagnosis by both Nissan dealership and subsequent independent mechanic was extreme rust of undercarriage causing upper control arm to rust through and rot of the underside of car to the point of being "not salvageable" and non-fixable. This meant the rear wheel was wobbling while driving on the interstate and could have completely let go. This vehicle has been consistently maintained as a daily-driver and at only 59k miles, it was mentioned several times that the level of rust was extraordinary.

I brought my 2021 Nissan Rogue in for service at Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland, FL for a oil change and tire rotation and we have had a light on our dash board indicating a airbag error and they charged us to look that up and said it is an airbag module or sensor that is causing the error message on the dashboard as the paper work said it is a Sensor-Side Airbag Center causing that and said it would cost around $1460 to repair that. I looked up recalls on my Rogue and it listed an Airbag issue on some of the 2021 Nissan Rogue models but did not list mine specifically. I feel this should either be covered by my warranty or the recall they are having with the airbag issue.
