SUSPENSION
Both rear Lower control arms are rusted thru and need to be replaced. Car has 113,000 miles but is only 10 yrs old, Rust is severe enough that we were advised not to take long trips and to get it repair by dealer soon. Estimate is for $1400.00 and the dealership is offering no help with the cost,

ENGINE
While driving down the highway going approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle lost power in the middle of the highway and shut off completely, with a sudden warning that said “Engine Malfunction.” The vehicle stopped in the middle of the highway and smoke began filling the cabin, leaving me to believe there was a fire under the hood. I evacuated the kids out of my car and pushed it off to the side of the road, then called the fire department. When the vehicle was towed to a Nissan dealership they discovered that there were many large metal chunks in the oil pan and the engine needed to be completely replaced. The vehicle only has 50,000 miles on it and is technically covered under powertrain, however Nissan is trying to get out of covering the replacement of the engine. There have been many documented cases of this exact thing happening to this make model and year Rogue. Nissan needs to take responsibility before someone dies. This incident was incredibly dangerous and could have ended catastrophically had I not pushed the car off the roadway.

Windshield Durability... Purchased 11/22 *Cracked 3/23 Replaced 1/24 *Cracked 3/24 *The replacement window arrived cracked. Another replacement window was ordered. Replaced 10/14 *Cracked 1/25 Replacement... TBD I have never replaced a windshield on my previous Nissan Rogues (2014 or 2018 models) before. What is happening with the quality control of materials or the windshield design? included some of the text messages and images of previous damages. I have had significant problems with this car. Within the first month, I had to replace the battery. In September 2024 the car went from 70 mph to 40 mph with no warning and then the engine malfunction lights came on. It was supposedly fixed by Jeff Wyler Nissan Colerain. In October of 2024 the exact same thing occurred. We went from 70 mph to 40 mph and were stranded for hours yet again. Jeff Wyler Nissan Eastgate supposedly fixed the problem this time with new electrical components. Most recently, in December of 2024, the exact thing occurred AGAIN. We went from 70 to 40 and had to have the car towed for the third time in three months and the fourth time in 2 years. It is currently at Jeff Wyler Eastgate again - supposedly waiting on a temperature component - which they think is the engine problem. All of these incidences occurred on a highway and could have had devastating consequences.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
1/2024 car loses power going from 70mph to about 40mph - dealership adjusted transmission fluid, 12/2024 started having power issues again dropping from 40mph to 20mph. Dealership said they couldn't do anything until it starts happening more frequently. So I'm suppose to just drive it with a potential crash that could hurt or kill someone. Not acceptable, Nissan needs to recall 2012 Rogues due to transmission issues before someone gets killed.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was shaking and made an abnormal rattling sound. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who retrieved DTC codes: P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold), P0113 (Intake Air Temperature Sensor), P0101, and P0102 (Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors). The independent mechanic replaced the intake air temperature sensor and the MAF sensors; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 206,669.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Forward collision system turns off while driving causing vehicle to randomly jerk an slow down in traffic. Taken the vehicle in 4 times to have them look at and service center refuses to help me an give me any information on when there will be an update. Received an email for a recall made an appointment for said recall arrived at shop and my service was refused. Asked for documentation on service being refused an got told they could not give me that. After an hour of debating finally receive paper. Leaving store once again my cruise control turned off an vehicle jerks. All this has taken place at Billion Nissan in Sioux Falls. They are unwilling to assist me in anything for my vehicle. Have documented proof of all occasions and I am still refused service from the shop.

POWER TRAIN, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
On December 3, 2024, the transmission on my 2017 Nissan Rogue would not shift out of 2nd gear. I was driving home from work on a crowded freeway. When the traffic subsided, I could not make my vehicle drive faster than 20mph. I exited the freeway as soon as I could and pulled over to call the Auto Club for a tow. The tow truck driver said that this is a known condition with this model of transmission. My vehicle had 71,000 miles and had been properly serviced and I have the records to show it. The service at the dealerships were closed so I had it towed within the mileage range so it would not cost me anything through AAA. The mechanic kept my car for a week and replaced the transmission valve body which cost me $1871.68. I called Nissan HQ and spoke to a customer service rep, customer service supervisor, and the executive office for Nissan. All three company representatives would not reimburse me because I did not go to a dealer for repair. I explained that I was stranded, barely outside of warranty by time or miles (I had purchased an extended warranty which expired 5 months prior.) I feel the transmission failing with such a young vehicle is a safety issue and I need to be reimbursed. I used work at Toyota Motor Sales for 23 years and they would have reimbursed their customers for this vehicle failure. Please help. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a routine oil change and was informed that the oil pan drain plug was made of metal; however, the oil pan threads were made of plastic. As a result, oil was leaking from the oil pan due to the threads being stripped. The contact was referred to the dealer who acknowledged the failure and agreed to replace to oil pan under warranty; however, the oil pan was replaced with another oil pan with the same issue. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 19,990.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE Forward Collision Warning on this car since i have had it new . It has been to the local dealer and still has not been fixed. The problem is when it get colder 35 to 50 degrees F out site it will stop working for about 30 to 45 min then start working again for 45 min to an hour then stop working again. during the time it does not work the speed control stops working and forward collision sensors do not work. I have reported this to the local dealer and it has been in the shop over 5 times about this. I was told it is a software problem.

SERVICE BRAKES, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH AND COMING TO A FOUR WAY INTERSECTION THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED AND MOMENTARILY APPLIED THE BRAKES. THIS DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT WAS BRIEF. IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT IF I WERE ON ICE, OR TURNING, OR SEVERAL OTHER SITUATIONS. tHE DEALERSHIPS I CALLED SAID THEY NEW OF NO SUCH PROBLEMS WITH TIS MODEL.YET IT'S A WELL DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. THE WARNING LAMP CAME ON AFTER THE INCIDENT AND COMES ON OFTEN. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CHECKED BY A DEALER SINCE THEY SAY IT IS NORMAL AND WANT TO CHARGE TO CHECK IT OUT.

At 3 separate times while driving my car just suddenly brakes and one of the times was doing between 40 and 50 with no other car around and suddenly with no warning car starts beeping and comes to an abrupt halt jacking the seatbelt tight and coming to a complete stop then proceeding along as if nothing happened.

AIR BAGS
My 16 year old son was driving the 2017 nissan rogue on [XXX] to our home around 7:30 pm. He veered and right front of vehicle struck a curb. Immediately the passenger side airbags exploded. The two airbag curtain side bags and the front passenger seat side airbag all 3 deployed. First, the airbags should not have deployed and secondly, if this had been a collision with another vehicle, the specific airbags that deployed wouldn't have prevented injury. If there had been a passenger in the front seat, they could have been severely injured by the deployment. The car was towed to a nissan dealership who ran a diagnostic for 200.00. They advised that the cost to replace would be 14K. Given the takata airbag recalls, I should have received a recall notice as I am the original owner of this vehicle. Luckily my son was not injured, but I need to report and hear back from this incident! I believe I should be reimbursed by nissan the replacement value of my vehicle. [XXX] my car i just bought and financed was damaged. Carfax shows incident in Waco Tx. I financed my car 07/2024. Went and had my oil and tire rotation and found out my front Sub Frame is cracked and bent. This was never reported to carfax Jenkin Nissan found the problem.. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, SEAT BELTS, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
I took ownership of this vehicle on December 11, 2024. Here are some of the problems I've encountered with this 2025 Nissan Rogue SL model: (1)Blind Spot, lane departure has been malfunctioning as of 12-11-2024. (2)The seat belt symbol started malfunctioning a few days later. The red seat belt sign on the dashboard remains on for an extended period. (3)The AM/ FM radio was working for a short time then off and on. Whenever the AM/FM radio goes out, Sirius XM radio remain strong. I brought the SUV back to the leasing company twice after which they programmed and reset the radio and the safety features. It seemed to work for a day. I called the leasing company and they said that I should take the Rogue to one of Nissan's service departments for a diagnostic workup. I made an appointment with the service dept. where the technician spent a good amount of time going over the vehicle. We then took a test drive where he explained how the system worked. The tech said that this vehicle’s blind spot kicks in after it reaches 30 miles according to the training video. He went on t say, in addition you have to press the blue blind spot logo to activate the system. I took the vehicle to the Nissan service. Since driving this Nissan Rogue another problem occurred that complicates all of the other issues above. That is this dangerous rear lift gate. Let me be clear, I’m a disabled veteran and all of these safety components are extremely important to my family. I can’t afford to worry or be hit again by this lift gate. This lift gate has hit me twice which organizing my belongs in this new SUV. Whenever your working near the rear bumper the rear lift gate is likely to come down! I’m back from the Holidays and this vehicle is going back to the Nissan service Dept again. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
