SummaryDRIVE SHAFT BOOT SERVICE INFORMATION SERVICE INFORMATION If a Drive Shaft (Axle Shaft) Boot on an APPLIED VEHICLE is found to be leaking grease, AND There is no abnormal noise or obvious CV Joint risk due to water intrusion and/or complete grease loss, check for REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) availability. ï· If there is a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, do NOT replace the axle. Install a new boot kit following the procedure in the ESM. o Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > FRONT AXLE > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT o If the complete axle (drive shaft) is replaced when only a new boot is required, the over-repair may be charged back to the dealer. ï· If there is NOT a REPAIR KIT-DUST BOOT (CV Joint Boot Kit) available for the vehicle being repaired, refer to the ESM for further diagnostic information. IMPORTANT: When servicing vehicles with staked axle nuts, refer to NTB21-013 to prevent Drive Shaft thread damage.

SummarySERVICE INFORMATION FOR BRAKE SWITCH ADJUSTMENT FOR DTC C1142 AND/OR C1116 STORED SERVICE INFORMATION DTC C1142 (PRESS SEN CIRCUIT) and/or C1116 (STOP LAMP SW) may be stored if the Stop Lamp Switch and/or the Brake Pedal Position Switch are out of adjustment. Before replacing any components for DTCs C1142 (PRESS SEN CIRCUIT) and/or C1116 (STOP LAMP SW), stored as past or current, confirm that the Stop Lamp Switch and the Brake Pedal Position Switch are properly adjusted. If either the Stop Lamp Switch and/or the Brake Pedal Position Switch are found to be out of adjustment, adjust them as per the ESM, and then clear the DTCs and perform DTC confirmation. ï· Refer to the ESM: BRAKES > BRAKE SYSTEM > PERIODIC MAINTENANCE > BRAKE PEDAL > Adjustment
